Very nice ladies will prepare vegan versions for you! - Edit
A very kind lady immediately understood when we asked for vegan okonomiyaki and prepared and extra batter for us — we coudl even see her making a new batter!Very happy we were able to enjoy some veganized Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki💗

Not for vegans - Edit
They didn’t know what “vegan” is, I explained in Japanese but they tried to put egg on it. My Okonomiyaki was just cabbage, mochi and salt.
Read moreI don’t think their sauce is vegan because usually Okonomiyaki sauce is not vegan.
And their noodle is contained egg(that’s what the lady said) so it’s not vegan.
But they are very friendly and nice people.
Just not for vegans😄

Accommodating and yummy - Edit
The vegan version is batter, cabbage, noodles, spring onion and BBQ sauce. Not the best vegan okonomiyaki we've ever had but definitely yummy and worth a visit. The two women that worked there were very friendly and it was a fun experience to watch them cook in front of us

Great Vege option ! - Edit
I'm so happy I found this place from this app! They have a sign saying vegetarians welcome and one of their okonomiyakis was vegetarian and had a note saying no fish or meat. You can watch them make it too and they made mine separately to the others and used different utensils. It was a little tricky to find but worth it !

Wonderful discovery! - Edit
It has been a challenge to find vegan, Japanese food during our stay in Japan. Teppei is a gem! The staff are adorable, the food is incredibly tasty and the whole experience is authentic. We highly recommend it!

Good but you can find better - Edit
This was my least favorite of the three okonomiyaki we tried in Hiroshima, just because the vegetarian okonomiyaki (made vegan by ordering it without egg) was pretty plain. Just noodles and cabbage, basically. The ladies who served us were super nice though.

Amazing mochi and great service - Edit
Although there is no vegan option marked on the menu, udon with okonomiyaki sauce can be made upon request (there is a vegetarian okonomiyaki clearly labeled in the English menu). Since we are vegan, my boyfriend and I both had the udon with okonomiyaki sauce and grilled mochi topping. The mochi was absolutely the best mochi I’ve ever had and the okonomiyaki and spicy sauce were really flavorful. The mochi was so good that I ordered a second one and my boyfriend ordered a third one. We had some pickles that were very tasty as well. And on top of the food being amazing, the absolute highlight was the m amazing service. They clearly understand what vegan is and we’re kind beyond what words can describe. I would go back for sure and I totally recommend it if you want to try the flavor of Hiroshima without the animal cruelty.

Tasty okonmiyaki - Edit
This spot is located just as you come onto third floor from the lift. Is ran by two very sweet ladies. Once I said I was vegan they completely understood and told me they could make special vegan base, they also checked along the way that I was okay with certain ingredients as they made it. Great to have the chance to experience a Hiroshima staple food experience in vegan way!
