The fufu is out of this world! - Edit
Visited on three occasions during a trip to Accra. Wonderful to have a dedicated vegan restaurant in the city with a good variety of dishes. Out of the three dinners, the fufu dish was the best. I had it with palm nut soup, and also tried the almond butter soup on the side. Delicious. I also had Ben’s Egusi, which was gorgeous, and the stir fry (a little plain for my taste). My niece enjoyed the pineapple crumble, and the juices and smoothies were wonderful. Friendly and efficient service. Congratulations to the team. Looking forward to coming back!

So good - Edit
I went here a few years ago with my mother. I got the egus, which I loved. Even my mother, a meat-eating Nigerian lady said it was really good! Hope to visit again if I travel to Ghana!

FUFU the Best of Vegan Ghanaian Dish - Edit
Fufu (a Ghanaian dish, fufu is a mixture of cassava and green plantain, its taste is similar to ugali in Kenya and shima in Zambia) The fufu is served with a very rich and creamy gravy soup made with palm nuts, tomatoes, green peppers, carrots, oyster mushrooms, tofu, okra, and green vegetables. It had been a long time since I had eaten such a hearty meal. You won’t be disappointed!

Best vegan option in Accra - Edit
Unfortunately, I only managed to visit twice during my 3-month stay in Accra, as this restaurant was quite far from my place and also did not deliver to my place.
Read moreI cannot give full five stars because the first time I visited, I waited 1.5 hours for my order (not kidding). On the other hand, the second time it was super quick. So it seems a hit or miss, time-wise!
Staff were very attentive, there is nice music, even electric sockets, and you meet interesting people there. The food was great and big portions, I appreciate that they have traditional West African dishes on the menu, though their take on jolof seemed rather unorthodox!
Pros: Nice staff, Close to Oxford Street, All vegan
Cons: Sometimes long waiting times

It's such an oasis. I thought I'd leave Ghana without tasting some local food so it was lovely to find this restaurant on the app. The server was very attentive and the portions were large.

Outstanding vegan food - Edit
My partner and I ordered the platter to share, and it was all delicious! They use whatever options are available that day. There were five or six different food items in the order. It was enough for two people to share for a reasonable price of 200 cedis.
Read moreWe really enjoyed the drinks too, the fruit juice and lamagin were tasty.
Thankfully, they also sell non-dairy milk and gluten free noodles.
Pros: Signature dish - tatale, Lamagin drink

Great vegan takes on African food - Edit
Tried the quinoa salad and chickpea curry and both were delicious and fresh. I'll have to come back to try the other options. Service was quite slow--even calling ahead with my order, still had to wait a while

Delicious vegan Ghanaian food - Edit
I was happily surprised to find a vegan restaurant in Ghana, especially one serving veganized local dishes. I tried the tatale joloff which was really delicious. Tomato-y rice with vegetables, tofu, and mushrooms on top, yum! It was a big portion for a good price (albeit high by Ghanaian standards). I’ll definitely be back to try more.
Read moreUpdate: came back for the ebusi and the kosayi. The kosayi were delicious and crispy served with a spicy pepper sauce. The ebusi with boiled yams was hearty and a well flavored stew. The boiled yams were a very filling starch. Another excellent experience!

Great Team, Great Food, Many Options - Edit
I went to Tatale Vegan Restaurant twice during a visit to Accra. The first time I ordered the fufu with palm nut soup. It tasty, with plenty of tofu and some greens. There was enough left over for take-away as a second meal later that day. The second time I went I brought two non-vegans who were surprised and thrilled at how delicious the egusi (with boiled yam) and coconut daal (with brown rice) were. The bissap drink with vanilla and cayenne pepper is amazing, crisp and refreshing, not to mention beautiful, with its purplish magenta hue. The staff, including kitchen staff, were appropriately attentive and punctual with the food. I absolutely recommend this place as a priority for anyone seeking a delicious vegan meal in Accra.

Great service and the foods choices are excellent. Also wholesome drink options. During my 9-day stay in Accra, I ate there 5 times - taking an UBER just to eat as many selections as possible. It’s a must-go!

We kept on coming back! - Edit
We came here for 4 evenings and the food never disappointed! The food was always delicious and even my non-vegan Mum and staunch Ghanaian meat-eating family members who we brought along loved it 😊
Read moreThe staff were all super friendly (special shout out to Mawli) and the food looked as good as it tasted- and was very reasonably priced.
The food also arrived in very good time (tip to all those complaining about poor service: you need to call in advance with your order and give them an estimate of the time you will be arriving- we did this every time and never had to wait more than 15 mins for our food!
Also if there were things that they don’t have on their menu such as the Club Lager or fresh coconut, they go and find it for you! I will miss this place and next time I’m in Ghana, I will definitely come back repeatedly!
Pros: Food that slaps! Absolutely divine dishes 😋, Wonderful and courteous staff, Prices were very fair- especially for the quality
Cons: Alright ambiance but space needs refreshing, Food not spicy enough- even when requested!

Nah 👎🏼 - Edit
This place has a very local feel to it. If that’s what you’re looking for then fine.
Read moreWe went when it first opened after hearing that the owner owns his own vegan restaurant in London. We were super excited, but this is definitely no fine dining restaurant! We were disappointed. Food was very average… not impressive enough to go back. To be fair, it looked like they were trying but they have far to go to reach UK standards.
Definitely not my cup of tea.

Absolutely amazing - Edit
Only managed to get delivery on this ocassion but it was fantastic! So delicious! Very well packed as well. I ordered chickpea & vegetable curry with brown rice, asked to get some tofu on a side and oh wow! It was so well flavoured. I also tried tatale. Everything was just wonderful, mouthwatering and full of flavours. Cannot wait to visit the restaurant in person.
