They had some vegan items, the produce section wasn't super appealing. Good for packaged/processed foods, if you're looking for something fresher there are people selling things further down the street on the same block, such as fruits and vegetables. You can also hit Makola market, not for the faint at heart, but they have a lot of fresh food and spices and at better prices.
Shoprite is one of the only big formal supermarkets around and considering that veg*nism is not a big thing in the area, the selection of veg products they had when I was there in September is satisfactory. They had fake meats, milk alternatives as well as some imported organic products.
