Excellent! - Edit
Tan An Lac is hidden down an alley and inside a store, yet worth the effort for the fine relaxed atmosphere and exceptionally beautiful and helpful menu.
Read moreThe food is full of fresh herbal flavors and many dishes center a meaty “monkey” mushroom.

Donation-based buffet - Edit
Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed their all-you-can-eat vegan buffet alongside lots of locals. We even got chatting with a guy who works across the street and he told us he eats here every day on his lunch break. The selection isn’t enormous and the dishes are pretty basic with a homemade kind of feel to them. My favourite was the tofu and gourd stew—simple, umami, comforting.
Read moreIt’s a pay-what-you-can kind of system. We ate just one plate of food each (still recovering from poorly tummies) and decided to pay 120k for the two of us.
Pros: All vegan 💚, Affordable 💸, All-you-can-eat 🤰
Cons: Not much variety 🥱

Social enterprise! - Edit
Great little community feel peace. It was kind of hard to find as you have to walk through the alleyway and then go up the stairs in an organic store. However, it is a pay however much you like social enterprise where they give free meals to locals who can’t afford it. Great food and lovely people.

Delicious all-you-can eat style buffet - Edit
It's not directly at the street, but in a small alley (there's an entrance sign at the street though). Good food in a nice location!

Food For All - Edit
This is a wonderful restaurant.
Read moreThe sign is on the top of the lane and nearby shop owners point the way to find the restaurant upstairs.
There is a menu as well as a daily buffet table. The menu is extensive and the food we had really fresh and tasty.
The buffet is payment by donation into a box in the shop as you leave.
All the food was varied with white or brown rice, fried plantain, pickled vegetables, sweet and sour tofu, stir fried vegetables and fresh soup of greens.
One of the staff was happy to explain anything and his English language was good, so it really helped.
I’d eat there any time.

Super fine food. - Edit
The dishes were amazing. Balanced. Original. The fake crab soup with a broth made of pineapple was so tasty. Mostly vegan. The place is in the first floor of a shop run by monastics.

Amazing buffet run by buddhist monks - Edit
The buffet is only available sometimes, otherwise you can order from the menu. This place is amazing. The pho, vegetables and mocked meats were absolutely delicious. Everything is made without garlic and onion. This has been my favourite place I have been to during my 2 week trip to Vietnam.

This venue is not a buffet, it was quite dirty, and only a few things on the very large menu were available. We were expected to remember these by number.
