Hot pot heaven

We had the Thai hot pot for 250.000 dong for 2 persons. It was super delicious!! Also, you must try the cashew-yogurt, it is sent from heaven!! The owners are running around helping everyone with a smile. Really loved this place.

Pros: Cheap, Big menu

Hidden gem!

Really nice calm restaurant tucked away from the busy road (but accessed by it) and run by Buddhist monks.
It’s very simple but very very delicious and some dishes quite herbal as well.
It’s also very cheap!

Food For All

This is a wonderful restaurant.
The sign is on the top of the lane and nearby shop owners point the way to find the restaurant upstairs.
There is a menu as well as a daily buffet table. The menu is extensive and the food we had really fresh and tasty.
The buffet is payment by donation into a box in the shop as you leave.
All the food was varied with white or brown rice, fried plantain, pickled vegetables, sweet and sour tofu, stir fried vegetables and fresh soup of greens.
The best bun loc I’ve had, yummy crisp spring rolls with mushrooms and other tasty vegetables.
One of the staff was happy to explain anything and his English language was good, so it really helped.
I’d eat there any time.

Buffet and menu available

Very tasty buffet of approx 12 items plus white and black rice. Juice, soy milk, and brown rice tea also available. Menu available also with quite a number of made to order dishes. When I was there a group of about 8 young women had ordered from the menu some noodle dishes not available on the buffet. Very reasonably priced.

Pros: Excellent food, Cool, Popular with Vietnamese

Bestes Essen in Hanoi

Definitiv unser Highligt in Hanoi.
Best vegan food in Hanoi!

Pros: super delicious food, nice people, not touristy

Vibra local

Este restaurante tiene opción de buffet, de hot pots y de comida a la carta. La comida es local veganizada, muy interesante, y tiene mucha vibra de local budista vegetariano.

Good food, cheap and friendly staff.

I got there a bit before 12 on a Monday. Two people together already I. Three other tables were set up for for groups I assume had booked - looked like they were all on the hotpots.other locals came in as I ate so she was obviously busy. I had some of the buffet and. Two,plates of food as well and paid 100,000 dong for it so it was cheap, tast and fresh. Recommended and obviously a busy place. I was the only Westerner in.

Pros: Fresh food being served up at ja bit before 12 , Staff friendly at helpful., Busy when I went so obv popped

Recomended

I had a soup from menu and bao buns. Pho was one of the best I got in Vietnam. It’s very local place.

Little restaurant. Really good

😺We came on Sunday and the buffet was not available. They have a menu to have lunch also the no buffet days.
🤩 We loved:
-Bún cha (noodles with grilled nuggets)
-Bún rong bien khô (noodle with seaweed)
-Sushi nguu báng (burdock kimbap)
Tastes really
-Sua chua dua dieu (vegan yogurt)
💘 Everything really tasty. We will come back! Good price!

Pros: Food, Price, Service/place

It’s ok. Not special but cheap

Went here on a Tuesday during lunch time. Offering buffet for 40k. Fully vegan
Buffet didn’t look appealing and not much to choose from: I think 4 dishes only plus rice and most already gone (before 1pm)
I opted for the bun cha with noodles, herbs and soup with nuggets

The nuggets was just beef veganized not nuggets. I asked for no cilantro but instead got only cilantro as herbs haha
They changed it then after explaining I want anything else but no cilantro.
Taste was too sweet for a soup and oily
Wouldn’t return
Very friendly though and it was 45k for the dish. Mostly locals eating here
No English
Grocery downstairs #Veganuary

Pros: Feels like a locals place , Cheap, buffet for 40k Tuesday , Vegan

Cons: Not much variety at buffet , Taste was ok-ish - nothing special , No English

Hidden & Calm Spot

Hidden in a backyard. I was there alone and the atmosphere was kind of weird but the food was really good.

Original!

The place is amazing!

Such an original food! All dishes sounded tasty! I've never seen any dishes like they have in Vietnam.

I had tofu with mushrooms wraps - they are served w/o rice.
And as far as I understood, they do not have any dish with rice, only noodles.

But the lady was so sweet and they made rice for me!

Very atmospheric

I was alone in the restaurant so it was very quite. Some music plays in the background but it's very comforting. It has no Fork or knife so that feels a lot more authentic.

Excellent!

Tan An Lac is hidden down an alley and inside a store, yet worth the effort for the fine relaxed atmosphere and exceptionally beautiful and helpful menu.

The food is full of fresh herbal flavors and many dishes center a meaty “monkey” mushroom.

Pros: Fresh flavors, Sensual atmosphere, Helpful illustrated menu

Cons: Difficult to find

Donation-based buffet

Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed their all-you-can-eat vegan buffet alongside lots of locals. We even got chatting with a guy who works across the street and he told us he eats here every day on his lunch break. The selection isn’t enormous and the dishes are pretty basic with a homemade kind of feel to them. My favourite was the tofu and gourd stew—simple, umami, comforting.

It’s a pay-what-you-can kind of system. We ate just one plate of food each (still recovering from poorly tummies) and decided to pay 120k for the two of us.

Pros: All vegan 💚, Affordable 💸, All-you-can-eat 🤰

Cons: Not much variety 🥱

Delicious restaurant and shop

The place is run by monks very welcoming. The lunch buffet is not giant but delicious and it's free pricing.
The à la carte offers are great and as delicious.
We loved that place.
Shop at the first floor and restaurant at the 2nd.

Enjoy!
