Nettes Konzept - Edit

Great selection! - Edit
There is so much to try here. I recommend the breaded tofu in a lemon sauce (not sure what it was called, as I was in a group and just given the food)

Out of the ordinary buffet! - Edit
Sadhu is an amazing place for dinner. It is an unusual buffet. You choose the dishes you want that will brought to the table. All dishes we had were delicious. The price is fixed, a bit more expensive than the usual vegan buffets. This place is one of the best places i have eaten in all my travels and is on par with the best. Friends who were not vegan or vegetarian were so impressed by the quality of the food they rave about it when I see them in Canada.

Over priced and disappointing - Edit
Sadly I didn’t have a great experience here. The price for a “buffet” served at the table to order was at least 5 times other local “Chay” buffets. The food was served cold and of no better quality than Chay buffets. The portions were small which shouldn’t matter in an all you can eat format except that the service was painfully slow. I asked for filtered water and was told I could purchase a bottle at 6 times the price on the street. My meal for two people came to 1 million VND. I have paid as low as 70,000 per person at better places.

Next-Level Vegan Buffet Experience 😋 - Edit
This is easily one of my top one or two favorite restaurants I’ve ever eaten at anywhere — Vietnam or the world. I still can’t believe a place like this exists. It’s technically buffet-style, but not in the traditional way. Instead, you order as many dishes as you want from a massive menu with over 60 pages, and everything arrives beautifully plated in a gorgeous setting. Every single dish tasted incredible.
Read moreThe drinks are just as impressive — super creative and absolutely delicious. The staff fully understand what vegan means and helped guide us through all the vegan options on their huge menu. We spent about two hours trying dish after dish, and it honestly felt endless in the best way.
When we arrived the restaurant was completely packed and we had to wait for a table, which says a lot — and it was absolutely worth it. This is a must-visit in Hanoi… actually, I would fly back to Hanoi just to eat here again.
Our favorite dishes were the clear mushroom soup, the fresh roll with tomatoes, the fried tofu, spring rolls, corn money bags, the rice ball wrapped in banana leaf, the curry, and the hot pot. We left so full that we didn’t eat again until dinner the following day — so definitely come very hungry.
This place is exceptional in every possible way.

A favourite restaurant of all places I've ever eaten. So many things to chose from .. and fresh and beautifully presented. I wish there were more of them in other countries.

Pretty good, definitely satisfying - Edit
The bold flavors set Sadhu apart. Very delicious and enjoyable experience. The food is all you can eat but there are no drinks included, drinks must be paid separately.
Read moreThere was one thing which I struggled with - they served one dish with rice paper and instructed me to make my own rolls. Normally I’ve seen wrappers be dipped in water to soften them, but this was either a different type of wrapper or for whichever reason it was intended to be rolled and eaten without moistening the wrapper. No idea if that’s normal, and it was a bit tough to bite, but let’s chalk that up to my ignorance.
Would definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting Vietnam!
Pros: All you can eat, Great flavors, Friendly staff
Cons: Drinks not included , Not completely clear which dishes are non-vegan

Super veggie in Hanoi - Edit

Amazing food and lovely place - Edit
This place has a great vibe and is really cozy. The staff asks you immediately if you have any dietary restriction or allergies and takes care of that while you order. They have over 80 items on the menu and they are all at the buffet. But you don't walk to the buffet yourself, they do and create lovely plates for you. You can try a lot of dishes and taste all the lovely food. The taste is also really good and the drinks are also amazing. Worth the money.

Delicious and plentiful - Edit
We came to this place on our last night in Hanoi and what a find! Bottomless buffet, served at the table. Fixed price per person but then we could order whatever we wanted. Drinks were charged on top. Excellent range of Vietnamese dishes and some quite unusual ones too, all beautifully presented with excellent service. At the more expensive end of what we paid across Vietnam but despite that, still incredible value at £10pp plus drinks.

Mouth watering all-you-can-eat - Edit
This was my first meal in Hanoi, and actually in Vietnam. And let me tell you, I have doubts about beating this experience on the remainder of my visit. The food is so incredible and so plentiful, the staff just continues to bring more dishes out until you beg for them to stop 😊
Read moreEvery dish was incredible, fresh, clean, tasty. A celebration of colors, aroma and flavors. The restaurant has a nice upscale feel to it, very pleasant and relaxing. The price for the overall meal with a drink was just under $20 per person, probably a little high for Vietnam, but 100% well worth it for me, I thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately I mostly took videos and almost no images, and Haapycow won’t allow video attachments, but check out my review on google maps for the videos.

So fun! - Edit
Sadhu was a really fun treat. While it is vegetarian, they were knowledgeable about veganism. We let them choose which plates we'd get and most of them really impressed us!! The leaf-wrapped dish in my photo was a crazy good experience to eat. The desserts were another standout! Like another poster, we also had to tell them to stop at one point because the dishes just kept on coming 😂 the atmosphere was also great. I'd definitely recommend this place!

The best vegetarian buffet in Ha Noi - Edit
If you're a fan of vegetarian cuisine, Shadu in Hanoi is a hidden gem worth visiting. This all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet offers an impressive variety of dishes that cater to every taste and preference. From fresh salads to flavorful stir-fries and hearty soups, there’s something for everyone. The ingredients are always fresh, and the dishes are prepared with authentic Vietnamese flavors, making each bite a burst of taste.
Read moreWhat stands out at Shadu is the balance of flavors. You’ll find a perfect mix of textures—crispy, tender, and creamy—across different dishes. The tofu, vegetable rolls, and mock meat options are particularly noteworthy, offering satisfying alternatives to traditional meat-based dishes.
The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and the option to try so many different dishes make Shadu an excellent spot for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. A must-visit for anyone in Hanoi looking to enjoy a wholesome, delicious meal!

Best experience in Vietnam - Edit
You get a buffet but á la carte style, which is quite a little bit confusing for first time visitors. You choose from a picture book. A little bit pricey but absolutely worth it. Unique dining experience. The food is made from heaven. Nicely decorated restaurant and the food comes super pretty prepared on the plates. Stuffs knows which dishes are vegan. If you can‘t choose (because there are a lot of options) just ask for the „vegan signature dishes“. They bring one plate after the other and unfortunately we have to say „stopp“ after a lot of food. They fed as well.

What a unique dining experience. It's all you can eat but you order from a nicely presented hardcover menu with over 80 dishes, each beatifully photographed and some with good descriptions. The food came out quickly and each dish was well presented and the food delicious.

My only criticism is the menu doesn't clearly distinguish vegan vs vegetarian however the vast majority of dishes are vegan.

Amazing! - Edit
Regret not getting photos but was too busy eating the tasy food!
Read moreWent here with my family - I am vegan, 2 veggies, 1 pestcatrian, and 2 meat eaters.
Everything looked great on the menu but we weren't sure what was vegan friendly (as it wasn't labelled), so we spoke with the waiter, said I was vegan, and asked them to choose for us. They were so amazing and helpful! Basically brought out mostly vegan dishes (which all tasted fantastic) and a couple of vegetarian dishes for everyone else but made substitutes for me.
Loved the atmosphere, and we were well and truly stuffed. I don't think the price was too bad (around £80 for 6 people incl a non-alcoholic drink each). Oh and its a buffet style, but ordering from the table (at least we did)
Pros: Helpful staff, Really tasty!, Lots of options for vegan
Cons: Wish the menu stated the vegan options on

Veg Fine Dining at its most Expensive - Edit
Sadhu is an elegant veg restaurant located southwest of Old Town.
Read moreYou may want to make reservations and come earlier as you’ll want sufficient time to enjoy as many of the foods as you’d like. Most of the food is vegan so you may want to confirm with staff, but the staff are buzzing around and maybe difficult to track.
Compared to other similar restaurants, Sadhu is more high-end and comes with the highest dining price anywhere I ate over a month in Vietnam. Nothing stood out as exceptional, but for the shear variety, it’s worth checking out if it’s not beyond your budget.
