Lovely cafe - Edit
Offering vegetarian and vegan. There were 2 set vegan menu options when I visited. The mushroom soup and vegan lasagna were both delicious.

No vegan options - Edit
Unfortunately could not eat here. We got there at 2pm (they close at 4pm) and was told that they were not serving lunch food anymore. I asked for any other vegan options, even sweets, and was told that they did not have any.
Read moreNot sure if it is because it was late-lunch time or they just don’t have many options at all. It’s a shame as the place looked really pleasant but we walked a long distance from the castle to have something to eat (there are no other options around).

Read moreNous y sommes allé.es à 13h il n’y avait plus qu’un choix de menu (sur les 2 proposés) et malheureusement l’entrée et le plat était un peu redondant : soupe à la courgette (entrée), velouté d’épinard avec chips de patate douce et œuf dur (plat — non vegan du coup …), c’était assez léger … ça manquait d’une céréale ou de pain à la rigueur. En vitrine il y avait un bagel me semble-t-il et une propositions de desserts type raw cake.
La pièce du fond est très sombre même lorsqu’il fait soleil dehors, c’est un peu dommage.
C’est assez peu cher et le personnel parle anglais.

We popped in here for lunch before catching a train to Zagreb from nearby Deli station. It's a simple little café serving tasty set lunches plus a handful of sandwiches & cakes. The set lunch costs just 2,850 HUF. It changes daily and includes a soup & a main. Just check their website to see what's on offer each day. We really enjoyed our meal and left feeling full. It's definitely worth a visit if you're hereabouts.

Monday to Friday there is a vegetarian, a vegan and a gluten free menu and an evening menu. They also have a good variety of cakes to choose from, all raw vegan and very tasty. The dining experience from the menu is great, not especially for the food, but for the great service and the places atmosphere. The price is also good, tourists may say it is cheap, but it is in the range so that Budapest residents can afford their lunch from there every day. The food is pretty basic (not a bad thing at all, but don't expect a fancy looking plating with 10 different elements) however very high quality and very well spiced and tasty. Nutritionally the vegan dish was on point, rice for carbs and spinach with tofu for the fiber and protein, perfect lunch. They claim to be baby friendly (can't say because we went without one) and bike-friendly, meaning that you get a discount if you go by bike. In the summer time there are two tables outside which is nice to sit at as the place itself is in a quiet street.

I went here to get a coffee because it was very cold outside, and found out a really nice place. Every cake is vegan and they also have some vegan salty food. The coffee and cake were ok, but beyond food I loved the place, I stayed reading for a while. Note that you can pay only with cash.

We had arrived afternoon time into Budapest and just fancied a coffee. We headed over to this cafe and we’re not disappointed. Just to give you an idea of the price, my partner and I got 2 soya lattes (not a very good coffee if I’m honest, more like coffee granuals. Was slightly watery) and two raw cakes (dark chocolate and apricot and a cashew and date... both absolutely gorgeous!) and it come to roughly £6.50!

We loved our lunch at this cafe. The food changes daily, and all ingredients were fresh and seasonal. The amount of food you get for the price is excellent, and everything tasted like real home-cooking, and was very filling. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the castle or the Hospital in the Rock, as it’s just a short walk away.

My lunch of vegan zucchini and tomato ratatouille type dish with millet was healthy and tasty. I also had an iced almond milk coffee and vegan tiramisu cake. I was lucky that staff spoke English and were lovely. The venue is light filled with indoor and outdoor seating. There is gluten free food available. If travelling with a baby, it may be useful to know that there’s a change table in the ladies toilet cubicle.

I had a bounty cake which tasted exactly like the filling of a Bounty (at least how I remember it). All the cakes in the display looked amazing. The coffee was delicious, the staff friendly and the service fast.

Worth climbing down the castle to have a meal or a cake at this place. Very kind service and very comforting, home-like food. The cakes look great but after a soup and savoury pancakes there wasn’t room for them :)

Healthy vegetarian and vegan options for a really nice price and a variety of delicious raw vegan cakes. The coconut balls are just the best ever. Kid and dog friendly. The staff is very kind and helpful and the interior is really charming.

I went in without having too many expectations and was totally blown away. The staff was very friendly and eager to help even though they only speak broken English. The main dish was really fresh and cheap, but the piece of cake as dessert topped everything. Would definitely come back if I happen to be back in Budapest
