Dessert heaven for vegans and non-vegans - Edit
Sugar Noms always surprises us, they have so many desserts, drinks and sweets that you’ll never have enough no matter how many times you visit. Their staff are incredible and will always make sure you have the best experience. The shop is very nice with seating areas, free books that you can take home and water for doggies. Everything we’ve tried is amazing but I’m obsessed with their waffles and their soft serve ice cream - their sundaes are to die for! Milkshakes are thick and so tasty, ice cream is really creamy and delicious. They have a lot of creative flavours and toppings so you’ll always have an amazing combination for every taste. They also have other desserts that are not easy to find as a vegan like sticky toffee pudding. Prices are great and really affordable. Please visit if you get the chance, you won’t regret it!
Read moreAlso highly recommended if you have food allergies or requirements like gluten-free etc. My partner’s got a nut allergy and they’re always really good telling us what’s got nuts or what may contain, etc.

Delicious sweets and ice cream. I always bring my kids here but I feel like a big kid in a candy shop too. Bubble waffles and sugar nom bombs are also super tasty. My Omni partner really enjoys all the treats as well and makes a beeline for the shop. Always spoilt for choice. Staff are always super friendly. Can't wait for our next visit.

Really friendly staff, lots of options including waffles, ice cream sundaes and pancakes. Lots of vegan sweet options, cakes and hot drinks too. Great place will definitely be back.

I just love everything about this cafe! So many vegan treats to buy and take home which is perfect for birthdays’ and Christmases, as well as just to treat yourself. The pancakes are also to die for with a super great price, I would expect to pay double for what you get and how good they are. There’s a great selection to chose from, so there’s something no matter what you’re craving. The girls are also super nice and friendly, even giving my boyfriend tips on how to cook tofu! I even convinced my mam and dad to go and try the waffles/pancakes, and my dad is the kind of person that wouldn’t eat vegan even if it was the last food on earth! Can’t wait to come back 😋

Our favourite place - Edit
Absolutely our favourite place to visit on a weekend. Great for our kids to know everything is vegan so they can have anything, but grown ups are usually most excited! Amazing waffles, pancakes and whippy ice cream with huge selection of ice cream flavours (cherry and chocolate is delicious, candy floss is kids favourite) sauces and sprinkles. There's always something new to try. Kay and the rest of the staff are super friendly and welcoming and always happy for a chat. Small seating area inside which is great, especially when wether isn't so good to sit along the front.

Visiting this stall at the recent Tyneside vegan festival just brought back so many happy memories of getting pick 'n' mix in my younger days. Being vegan I've waited a long time to be able to have that experience again and Sugar Noms certainly provided that opportunity. Great choice, great jellies, great staff and such good value, with a large bag costing just £4. My son got a bag too and loved them but not as much as me!
Read moreIt's not just jellies they do though, as we also bought a double chocolate brownie and pistachio and carrot cake, which were delicious. I'll definitely be looking to visit again be it at their Redcar shop or a festival.

I’m not even that much of a brownie / chocolate cake fan but the brownie and the cookie pie are out of this world, my hubby who is the cake connoisseur was also very impressed, I’ll take one of everything was his approach! The whippy ice cream is worth a visit in itself never mind all the other delicious treats, the pancake stack was yummy, as was the lemon & poppyseed muffin - the prices are very reasonable, the staff are super friendly, I visited twice over the bank holiday weekend, and could easily have made it the treble! Looking forward to next time already!

The kids try to be as vegan as they can but sweets have been a struggle … until now … when treats and sweets are this good why buy from anywhere else.
Read moreI expected lots of pre-packed sweets, chosen because they’re vegan and then marked up. How wrong could I have been! They do have the pre-packed sweets which are at a reasonable price but there’s a huge selection of loose pick and mix too. They have a great selection of freshly made treats like cakes, cookies, ice cream and a real whippy machine - I said a REAL whippy ice cream machine 🍦
So we tried the normal ice cream and the kids said it’s better than Gabriella’s - we agreed. We tried the whippy and were blown away. So soft, so creamy, so delicious and so much better than Pacitto’s. We took a peanut butter and choc chip cookie bar to eat later. It was fresh, soft, has a slightly gooeyness and was amazing with a cup of coffee.
The staff were lovely and It is worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars any day of the week.
Buy your sweets here and then take them to the Regent Cinema 😉 😉

Read moreTheir produce is amazing! Plenty of ice-cream flavours and cones/tubs to choose from to satisfy your cravings. They even do sprinkles and many sauces to top your sweet treat.
If ice-cream isn't your thing they do cakes, chocolate and pick'n mix sweets.
I had the raspberry ripple scoop as well as a strawberry and it was so good.
Staff are incredibly friendly and the shop has a lovely atmosphere.

Why on earth, would people pay for sweets and ice-cream that has caused cruelty to animals, when there are so many cruelty free choices now.
This place is amazing! It is so nice to be surrounded by sweets and ice cream and not having to worry if products have milk or gelatine in them.
