Open Tue-Wed 16:00-23:00, Thu-Fri 16:00-00:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-00:00. Kitchen closes every day at 10pm. BRUNCH 10:00-13:00 on weekends

Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Really nice wee place with wholesome hearty food! Love the concept of employing homeless and ex offenders. Staff were friendly even though there was a language barrier with some, a smile is all you need! Very good pricing!! Wish I had tried the cake 🎂

This place has a great feel to it, it’s really comfortable and aesthetically interesting. Loved the giant plate of chips/fries with 3 sauces to start. The salads were fresh and delicious, wasn’t the biggest fan of my soy schnitzel, but the potato salad that accompanied it was flavorful. Affordable prices and nice pivo selection.

So many traditional dish options - we had the goulash, schnitzel, dumplings and pickled tofu. All were amazing, but was blown away by how good the pickled tofu was, defo worth a try! Also served beer which was a bonus. Amazing cheap as well.

I had the schnitzel with potato salad and while it looked good it was unfortunately extremely bland. The food and experience at Palo Verde was much better.

Had the daily menu. Spinach soup and potato dumplings with sauerkraut was on today’s offering (it was either potato dumplings or pesto pasta - had to go for a czech dish!). It was pretty good, the potato dumplings are mixed in with smoked tofu which was quite salty but balanced out with the dumplings they aren’t too heavily seasoned. I also ordered a blueberry cake but it was abit dry. Not too sweet tho.

Every time I’m in Prague I go at least once for a dinner here!
A long year since my last visit and now finally I could come back and found some exciting news on the menu! Unfortunately, my beloved pickled sausage was not longer listed on the menu. Instead there were two new small dishes equally good!
The “tlačenka” which is originally pieces of meat and veg in jelly, here veganised it’s seitan and tofu and it’s DELICIOUS! Served with bread and onion poured over with vinegar.
Second was “skvarky” originally roasted lard. Something I could never understand how people can eat. Here, veganised, I totally loved it!
Looking forward to be back again:-)

Strecha in new location, still smashing it! Had a lunch offer - so (not bloody) good veganised bourguignon with pumpkin puree. Haven't had so good vegan meal in a while.

This restaurant is really cheap, my friend and I paid only around 30€ for a starter that we shared, 2 main dishes, 2 pieces of cake, 2 big drinks and a meal donation. The staff is friendly, the portion sizes are big, they have english menus and everything we tried was delicious and typically czech.
