Extremely greasy "cheap" pizza - Edit
I was expecting a high quality pizza given the price and being an all italian restaurant but was sorely disappointed. The waitress was really helpful and nice, nothing at fault there. The fault is that the pizza was actually horrible and was of comparable quality to a regular cheap corner pizza place. A greasy greasy mess, oily all around, uneven toppings, similar to a cheaper "fried" version of pizza hut. Will not go back and recommend anyone not to if you're going for pizza.

A very cute, cozy restaurant and the BEST vegan Italian food (outside of Italy that is). I had the carbonara and it was superb, so so delicious. My husband had the meat feast pizza and it was also very good. Would highly recommend this place to vegans and nonvegans alike.

Read moreOrdered the Seitan main and my partner had a pizza which was a bit bland sadly but the starter was absolutely amazing! Deep fried rice balls with chilli and (ve) mozzarella. Some parts were a little over priced but the wine and pizzas are fab. Would definitely try a pasta dish if I visited again

I ordered the Carbonara, Suppli Romani, Roasted Potatoes, and Biscoff Cheesecake.
Very tasty and the cheesecake was perfect.
One star lost as Carbonara could’ve had a bit more flavour and Suppli was a bit dry.
Ordered this meal on Deliveroo. It arrived still very hot so I could enjoy it properly.
Pros: Huge menu, Cheesecakes!, Made fresh and packaged well for delivery
Cons: Carbonara and Suppli lacked some flavour

Right near the amazing Black Rabbit in Tollcross this place is great, really varied menu and everything we had was lovely. We visited in August during Covid and the staff were stretched but nothing was an issue.

They're now open for bookings; it was on my go-to list of places to go and I wasn't disappointed. My boyfriend & I shared a pizza as a starter, which had seitan and almond.... something I had to Google, then pasta and gnocchi, and cheesecake and chocolate & strawberry covered focaccia for dessert. Booking essential, and take a mask for wearing when not seated.

I was just so impressed by this restaurant. There is just so much choice and I struggled to decide on one meal, everything sounded amazing. I had come in for a lighter lunch, so chose the soup of the day and the fresh salad with ricotta. Whilst the food took a little while to come, it was totally worth the wait and not something I am concerned about. The soup was gorgeous, one of the best I've had. And the salad was fresh, and just lovely. My non-vegan friend enjoyed her mushroom pizza and said she would never have guessed that it was vegan! I desperately want to return to this restaurant, the other options on the menu look amazing and I will be telling everyone about it - hoping that they want to go with me!

I've been coming here since it opened and so I've loved everything I've tried. It might take a little longer for food to come when it's busy but it's worth it. I love the bolognese pizza, the amarticiana pizza, the lasagne and the Suppli Romani! Service is always with a smile and is so friendly! Plus it's dog friendly and they bring out a pillow for my wee dug. Honestly, it's perfect!

Absolutely amazing. Italian food has always been my favourite and since I’ve been vegan I’ve missed a proper Italian meal. This restaurant is the answer! Best pasta I’ve ever had. Sides and starters were as delicious. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. I cannot recommend it enough!

Visited Sora Lella with my uni friend last week! What a surprise ! It actually did remind me of my recent trip to Italy! Everything tastes great! I had a pizza and a delicious tiramisu. Totally worth the money. I’m visiting again with my partner this week

Impressive Menu - Edit
Many of the vegan-friendly places in Edinburgh tend to be cafes or bakeries, so it was nice to find a restaurant with such a huge menu. The food was delicious and plentiful, but you need to make sure you’re having a leisurely lunch/dinner as you can have a long wait for food to arrive. Not a problem for us, and they’re very up front about this on their website. We’re looking forward to going back and trying pizza and dessert!

Read moreHo provato il supplì, le lasagne e la trippa alla romana. Il supplì come antipasto, buono e frittura ben fatta. La lasagna era molto abbondante, saporita, forse un po'troppo cotta la pasta. La trippa, fatta con straccetti di soia, anch'essa saporita, la salsa molto buona.
Anche le due birre artigianali buone.

WOW. So glad to have found this restaurant during a trip to Edinburgh for nye. I had the rigatoni and broccoli pasta which was probably the best pasta dish I have EVER eaten before and after being vegan. This restaurant really is a gem. The menu had so many good options, I wanted to eat it all!. Elena (I think her name was) was so friendly and a wonderful host. Please visit this place!!!! Sad that there isn't one where I am from😒

When I visited this place it still smelled with novelty. The place is cozy and really nice. They play nice music on the background and the atmosphere there is really nice. I have only positive words on service. Miss was amazing, time to time asking if we have everything, she also gave us great recommendations. I ordered white pizza - four cheese, coke and double espresso. Pizza was good, but not great (that’s why I give 4*). Dough tasted more like pitta bread and filling didn’t have strong flavor enough.

We absolutely loved this place!
Read moreIt's a small place and we hadn't made a reservation, but they said they would probably have a table ready in an hour. An hour later, we returned and we were very happy we waited! So happy in fact, that we came back two more times during our stay in Edinburgh (and will be back when we're back in town!)!
The pizzas are really nice, but it's the pastas that did it for us. I loved the carbonara (i looked a bit basic on the menu, but it was full of goodness), my fiancée loved both the pasta and pizza with broccoli and salsiccia.
The desserts were also really nice; the cheesecake was delicious. And the staff was super nice and friendly.

After reading some very promising reviews and building up a growing appetite as we were reading through the menu, we arrived at Sora Lella not to be disappointed at all. The very contrary! One of the most satisfying meals I’ve ever had as a vegan. Such an authentic Italian taste! Had some perfectly crunchy supplì (Roman rice balls), a fresh made focaccia, traditional lasagna and the most tasteful creamy seitan and mushrooms I could have ever dreamt of. Lovely tiramisu too - although quite different from the traditional one. Still very yummy! This place cannot be missed if you’re in Edinburgh.. actually worth a trip if you’re visiting Scotland full stop! Can’t wait to go back!

Best Thanksgiving ever! - Edit
It was so nice not to be in the U.S. on what people refer to as "Turkey Day". Instead our family was happily eating vegan pizza, pasta carbonara, suppli, roasted artichokes and cheesecake. We were also grateful for the gluten-free menu. We loved it so much that we went back the next night. Too bad that we had to leave the next day or we would have continued to eat there. The staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. It's definitely good to make reservations. It is a tiny place, but worth the walk. I miss it already.
