What a fabulous little place. Despite being busy they still managed to squeeze us in and we're so glad they did. The menu has so much to choose from and everything was delicious. You really have to try the vegan meringue dessert!

Wonderful food - Edit
We had heard some great things about this new vegan Italian restaurant and we were not disappointed.
Read moreWe had the bruschetta trio to start, which was big enough to share between two. Mr B followed with the 'meat' feast pizza and I had the broccoli and mushroom rigatoni - both were absolutely delicious.
The small restaurant has a lovely cosy atmosphere and I am excited to go back again in the very near future!

Not very friendly with families - Edit
We arrived around 5:30PM, the restaurant was pretty empty. But for some reason they was no space for my 8 months pregnant wife, our 20 months and myself... Honesty very disappointed :/

Delicious and charming - Edit
I had a fantastic meal at Sora Lella the other night. The food was absolutely first-class and there was such a lovely and relaxed atmosphere thanks to the friendly staff.
Read moreBeing totally ravenous, I had the ‘Meat Feast’ pizza which really went the extra mile with the faux meat toppings (ham, chicken, seitan, pepperoni and sausage! plus olives and red onions). Everything worked well together, the portion was generous, and it was very affordable considering the quality.
I also squeezed in a Biscoff cheesecake which was to die for. Very rich and snazzily presented.
I will definitely be returning upon future visits to Edinburgh because their menu is huuuuuuuuuuuge and I think shows an ambitious and creative approach to vegan Italian food.
I really wish the best for this new place because they seem to really care about what they do and I had a positively charming time there.
Pros: huuuuuuge fully vegan menu, lovely, warm atmosphere , creative, delicious food

A lot of potential - Edit
Was very excited to try this as I was happy to have a fully vegan Italian so close to me! The variety of dishes offered was very promising and both myself and my mum felt spoilt for choice. I opted for the pasta with broccoli and mushrooms, my mum got the carbonara, and we shared a focaccia.
Read moreThe focaccia came out first- it was completely burnt in the centre and the outside was too crispy causing it to be quite difficult to eat.
The pasta we also sadly found quite disappointing. They were both quite dry, with more sauce it would’ve been so much tastier.
I feel like this place has a lot of potential and I’m excited to see how it develops! Would try it again but sadly not in a hurry.
Pros: Full vegan menu
Cons: Poor execution

Extensive menu & huge portions - Edit
I think this is a really promising vegan restaurant. The menu is really extensive and has a wide range of Italian dishes that you wouldn’t ordinarily see vegan options of. I planned to take photos of food, but ended up tucking in straight away - I think that’s a pretty good sign though!
Read moreHowever, the portion sizes are ridiculously large. If you’re hungry that’s a great thing but for the longevity of a business perhaps it needs to be addressed? During our meal here we saw another couple share a main pasta dish due to its huge size. Generous portions are a great thing, but sometimes they can be intimidating and wasteful.
We tried the lasagne, funghi pizza, garlic focaccia, tiramisu and cheesecake.
Lasagne - delicious but very tomato heavy. I liked it but it didn’t quite hit the lasagne craving, perhaps the balance of ingredients was slightly out?
Pizza - lovely thin base, good amount of mushrooms and cheese. Enjoyed the pizza and would definitely have another here again.
Garlic focaccia - large size, probably could have done with more garlic, but I’m a “bulbs not cloves” kind of girl.
Tiramisu - great but presentation wasn’t amazing. I enjoyed it though and was happy it was alcohol free .
Cheesecake - hit of the meal. Can’t go wrong with biscoff, and the filling was beautifully smooth and satisfying.
Overall it was a good meal and I will be back. I wish the restaurant the best in their business and hope to support them again 😊

Nice try but disappointing - Edit
Went there with high expectations. Could have chosen the other vegan Italian but wanted to support this new business. Very nice and friendly staff. Atmosphere is a bit dull, not stylish nor traditional. We asked what dish we absolutely had to try and were recommended the supply Romani. Should have been a fried rice risotto ball with melted mozzarella on the inside. It was more like a dry rice ball. No melted whatever to be found. The bruschetta trio as a starter was okay, though not very fresh or mouth watering as you might expect. The pasta carbonara was okay as a dish but doesn’t even come close to the original non vegan dish. Nice try though with kala namak and turmeric for the egg look and feel. The melanzane was not too bad, though somewhat plain and too sour, one dimensional. For desert we had the tiramisu and the aquafaba merengue. The tiramisu was dry, not creamy nor spongy. Missed the hint of amaretto. The merengue was absolutely bad. No airy, crispy on the outside and sticky on the inside merengue but brittle chunks of sugar on a vanilla custard. The custard with fresh fruits was okay though.
Read moreI sincerely recommend the chef to work on his cooking skills and techniques. While at it, work on presentation as well.
Too bad because we have a warm heart for vegan businesses. I hope they will improve in time.
Pros: Nice staff, Fully vegan
Cons: Dishes don’t live up to the original version , Food lacks dimension and finesse , Merengue fail

Genuinely great food - Edit
I've wanted to go here as soon as I saw it was opening. We split the Paccheri Carbonara pasta and a Amatriciana Romana pizza with a side of Suppli Romani. They were all great but the almond pecorino on the pizza was a little strong for my liking. Finished with tiramisu at the end. Large portions, lovely food.
