Beautiful fully vegan Italian - Edit
The food was amazing. Brushetta with fresh pesto was delightful..pasta dishes we had were both gorgeous, rigatoni with speck, brocolli and truffle oil was delicious. I'm not normally a fan of truffle oil but it was subtle and savoury. The carbonara was also delicious. Tiramisu was delightful as was the lemon cheesecake. We had organic prosecco. Can't fault it. Small place with cosy atmosphere and friendly, unhurried service. A must if in Edinburgh, having said that..we did a detour to go on a recommendation! 👍

Amazing! - Edit
Crikey....what a place! Couldn't recommend highly enough!
Read moreBefore we get on to food though, make sure you book. This place gets full pretty quick. While we were there quite a number of disappointed people had to be turned away.
Fortunately for us my husband had been advised in advance to book so we were able to get in. We dined with two children aged 4 and 11.
Firstly the place felt intimate and friendly. It was clean and had character rather than a white washed Instagram ready soulless vacuum of a place! Staff were friendly but it didn't feel overwhelming and they certainly weren't trying to rush us along by clearing plates too quickly and chasing us up on our ordering.
The menu is fantastic with everything being available as kids portions with a 40% reduction in price. My kids are a bit boring and both had pizzas! Both were brilliant and were polished off in record speed! My husband had the Rigatoni with bacon and a tomato based sauce and he had the rocket salad as a side. I tried both and they were divine! I had the Rigatoni with a cream based sauce, mushroom and broccoli. I had onion salad as my side. My food was possibly the finest thing I have ever eaten. I honestly enjoyed every single mouthful and was sad when my meal was finished. I have literally no idea why anyone would eat non-vegan food when things as good as that exist and are possible! The portions are really generous too, I couldn't finish my onion salad and we were both full long before our meals were finished!
For dessert we sampled cheesecake, tiramissu and the kids shared a focaccia covered in chocolate sauce, chocolate pieces and cream. Omg, dessert heaven!
If you're in Edinburgh, please make a booking, you won't regret it! This place was amazing!
Pros: Loads of options for vegans , Friendly staff, Amazing food

Best vegan food we ate in Edinburgh - Edit
Absolutely delicious Italian food - can’t recommend enough! We had the garlic bread and arancini to start followed by the special caprese salad, meat feast calzone and four cheese and porcini mushroom pasta, all of which were outstanding. Would recommend booking in advance - the restaurant was very popular!

Incredible food - Edit
We ate at their sister restaurant Nova Pizza the other day, and thought we would try here before we leave Edinburgh. We had the special of caprese salad and bruschetta with peppers and ‘chicken’, which were both lovely. For main, we had seitan in mushroom sauce with roast potatoes, and sausage and truffle gnocchi. Both of the main courses were outrageously good. Service was quick and friendly. Pre-booking is a must. I wish we were here for longer so we could return here.

Fantastic Vegan Italian - Edit
I've been to Sora Lella many times (too many times?) and each time it's delicious. Their desserts aren't the best, for me, but otherwise it never disappoints.
Read moreFully vegan Roman menu, with plenty of pastas, gnocchi, and pizza. They also have a gluten-free menu.
I'd always recommend their truffle gnocchi and penne alla vodka. The focaccia is great and enough to share, their chips are deep fried, which isn't my preference. One companion didn't like their mayo as it was too "eggy" (I think they use black salt, so if you're used to this you'll be fine!).
The restaurant is a little small, which can be difficult for mobility needs. I'd also recommend booking on weekends. Finally, the bathroom is also a tight squeeze.
Pros: All vegan, Great food, Fantastic staff
Cons: Small restaurant, Limited desserts

Absolutely in love with this little bistro!

Truly authentic Roman vegan food - Edit
This place is amazing. I am originally from a town to the north of Rome and was impressed by the attention to detail of the food on offer. We shared a starter, a garlic bread and two mains and everything was delicious. The supplì in particular were to die for. They also have a decent selection of Italian craft beer on offer. I will definitely be back.

Lovely Italian - Edit
A great menu, with authentic choices. I chose a main that unfortunately I would describe as truly horrible! Seitan with lemon sauce, which I couldn't finish and gave me indigestion. That didn't put me off the place though, the pizzas looked amazing, and my partners meal tasted great. Would return.

Too high expectations for this one - Edit
I had probably too high expectations for this one due to all the praise I've heard it's gotten from friends! I had the quattro stagioni made to a calzone while my friend had the carbonara pizza. Both pizzas were a bit soggy, my friend didn't like the 'ham' on the calzone and neither of us enjoyed the 'egg' on the carbonara pizza. It's still a nice place to go to get vegan Italian pizza along with their other restaurant, Novapizza Vegan Kitchen.

Greasy - Edit
I hoped this place would cheer me up as I had a few bad experiences in recent times, sadly the food here was not nice, at least is not too pricey but it’s a proper grease fest, the pizza is literally to die for (from clogged arteries) while I like oily and greasy stuff it was too much even for me, don’t know if it was my rotten luck or its always like this but I don’t think I’ll check again.

Our starters was nice, the pizzas were terrible. The smell of them was making us gip and we didnt even eat half of it. Potentially better for pasta ext? Really disappointed. Staff were lovely.
