Amazing

We got the 5 pasta tasting. It comes with a bottle of wine. The wine and the pasta were all amazing. And we got tiramisu. May have been the best vegan tiramisu. Loved it here! Great service!

Delicious

Small place near Tompkins Square Park. Had a 5:15 reservation but they took us at 5 which was great. We were a group of 3 and we ordered the arancini, herbed ricotta, gigli, radiatori, and medaglioni. Everything was really good. Ordered cocktails and a tiramisu for dessert. Would definitely return.

Everything was perfect!

This has been one of our favorite spots while traveling. We order appetizer, pizza, pasta and desert! The flavors were amazing, the service was lovely! Can’t wait to visit their other restaurants!

Pros: Umami

Insanely good food and great service!

The arancini, whipped ricotta (GF), Gigli pasta (GF) and the date cake (GF) were so insanely good. The flavor profiles were layered to perfection. The only item that was just okay in comparison to the others was the cannoli. Staff is super knowledgeable and helpful in accommodating gluten free options as well. Highly recommend!

Pasta Heaven

So many delectable pasta options! We split the gnocchi dish and the cacio e Pepe dish, loved them both. We also ordered the tiramisu for dessert, a must have!

We came on a busy Saturday night so I applaud the staff for doing their best with how crowded it was; however, I would recommend coming at a different time/day. I knew that this was a small restaurant when we made our reservation, but our table in particular wasn’t ideal. We were sat at the last 2 top table in the back near the restroom, this table aligns with the end of the bar, which hangs out into the walkway. My chair was pulled as far in as possible but every time someone walked by they bumped the back of my head, I tried to lean forward over the table to avoid it throughout the meal but I felt very in the way. Again, this is a very small restaurant and I respect them maximizing their space, I’m not sure what the solution is, but as customers I would suggest trying to sit at any other table or the bar.

I still highly recommend!

Pros: Tons of pasta options, Great beverages/desserts , Accomodating staff

Cons: Small space

Phenomenal 5-course vegan meal

We did the 5-course tasting menu for two and we were concerned about the portions. They assured us that the kitchen would know it was two people and would portion accordingly. We were given COPIOUS amounts of food, which we couldn't eat all of. Luckily they gave us to-go boxes, but still much of that food was wasted.
Initially the non-alcoholic wine we wanted was not available, so they offered to comp us that and give us an appetizer in its place, to which we happily accepted. Then, they found us the bottle of wine and still didn't charge us for the appetizer.
All of the food was phenomenal. The wine was great. The service was great. Super happy with the whole experience, especially since this place has been on my list for some time now.
Favorite Dishes: Arancini, Bucatini, Cappelletti, Gigli, Bigoli, Tagliatelle

Pros: So many options, Great wine selection , Ambiance

Delicious food to share

Found this place online and we got the tagliatelle, ravioli, carbonara pizza, arrancini, giglio, the date cake, and the tiramisu. The ambiance was really cool, the food was great, and the service was very attentive. Would go back again.

Fantastic Plant-Based Italian

Wonderful from start to finish! The pappardelle was fresh and perfectly sauced, the ravioli with plant based ricotta satisfying, and the cannoli was a sweet, creamy treat. Great flavors.

A perfect vegan Italian meal!

I’ve dined at Soda Club on a few occasions and it seems to just get better and better. Their pizzas have a variety of toppings making it a delicious, unique experience and their pastas are very good as well.

The gigli is popular but the bigoli is much better in my opinion. It has a resemblance of fettuccine Alfredo with the thick noodles and creamy, indulgent sauce.
Now for the pizza - I really enjoyed the carbonara pizza (without the apples). The base is a white sauce and the fried artichokes were a pleasant surprise. Overall would definitely order again. They also had a pesto pizza a few weeks ago that was actual perfection - hope they bring it back in the future.

And if there is anything that you do, you MUST order the date dessert. It consists of a warm date cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a bed of crumbs/crust. Trust me you need it.

The staff is always friendly and outgoing. The small details like acknowledging return guests really mean a lot.

Will be returning very soon!

Disappointed:(

I was super excited for this place. The host was nice, but the server wasn’t and has an attitude. The rest of the table was served (my friends) and my food never came out and they never checked on us. My friends pasta was dry. They could have done a lot better. Also ran out of water and they never came back to refill.

Pros: Appetizers were good

Genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had

Orange wine? Amazing. Dessert? Slay. The main courses? Incredible. My friends all got different dishes so I had the opportunity to try 4. All were amazing. I had the Bigoli and thought it was the best of the bunch. I’m amazed they made this Italian restaurant all vegan. This is in the top 3 restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Period

Pros: Delicious food , Wines are amazing

So so so good

Loved this place!
Lovely ambience
And the food was just excellent
Had the gigli - sauce a touch watery if I were to be very critical but it was delicious
Calabrian Pizza- delicious, so many toppings
Date cake - not to be missed, the salt crumbs brought out all the flavors
Tiramisu - lady fingers could do with soaking a touch longer, but delicious

Didn’t live up to expectations

My partner loves Italian food and was very excited to try this place. I don’t love Italian food, but this place had some positive reviews, so decided to give it a try. We ordered the focaccia, arancini, bucatini, gigli and ravioli. The miso dip that came with the focaccia was really good, but the bread itself was just ok. I would definitely pass on the arancini if I ever come back. The sauce had a lot of flavor but the arancinis needed more of it. They were pretty bland on their own. I was also not a fan of the Parmesan, though my partner liked it. The pasta was pretty good as far as pasta goes. The arrabiata sauce on the bucatini was my favorite. I always prefer tomato based sauce over cream sauces anyway. I thought the ravioli was pretty good, but I wanted more tomato. I didn’t like the gigli at all, but it was a cream based sauce. My partner, who is more into cream sauces wasn’t very impressed either. He said that nothing was bad, but all the dishes seemed to have “one note” and needed some additional complexity. He was a bit disappointed and said he’s not in a hurry to come back.

Pros: That miso dip wow, The pasta itself

Cons: Arancini meh

Tasting menu

Tried the tasting menu and enjoyed all the pastas except the tagliatelle. Date cake and tiramisu were excellent. Arancini was a nice starter. The server kindly let us taste a few wines to decide which one we wanted with the meal. We left very full!

Great tasting menu

Loved the tasting menu here. We had 3/5 dishes (skipped two due to a nut allergy, but got extra portions of the others to make up for it) and really enjoyed them. Highlight was the gigli! Tiramisu was the perfect dessert.

Ambiance and service were both great as well.

Best vegan Italian food!

Best vegan Italian food in the city! I used to love arancini before going vegan so I’m so glad it’s on the menu — they are amazing! All the pastas and new Roman style pizzas a great too. The servers really take the time to help you find a wine you like and I’ve loved all the cocktails I’ve tried on the new cocktail menu so far. The new location on Avenue A is beautiful

A NYC restaurant experience with incredible food!

A very NYC experience from start to finish. It was hot and cramped inside but the food was ridiculously good!

The cacio a pepe was absolute bomb. The creaminess and richness of the sauce was enough to throw you directly into a food coma.

The pizzas are cooked to perfection, the crispiness of the crust is an art form.

Our server tried to take our plates while we were still eating but all other staff was super friendly and the atmosphere is bustling.. like everyone's sitting there eating full bowls of pasta at 11pm like nothing is happening.. it's magic.

Pros: Vegan

Cons: Tight, Super hot in the warmer months, Loud

The best of the best

I never had pasta this exquisite in my life. Each dish takes you on a flavor journey and the last taste is different than the first bite. I can’t explain it. It’s just delicious and unforgettable. Make reservations early it gets crowded and stays crowded til closing.

Pros: The Arancini rice balls to start , The Ravioli and Bigoli are best pastas, The cannoli dessert is out of this world

Best pasta in NYC

Soda Club never disappoints. The pastas are al dente and delicious. The pinsas (Roma-style pizza) are scrumptious. The wine selection is very interesting (I had a complex white from Portugal). The new location (95 Avenue A) is much bigger than the old one and very beautiful but funky.

Amazing Food and Atmosphere

One of my new favorites in NYC. The pizza with fried artichokes and apple tzatziki was delicious, as was the herbed ricotta with focaccia bread. My favorite pasta was the Bigoli. Also, I was happy to see that they have non-alcoholic wines and Best Day Brewing NA beers (in addition to an expansive selection of traditional wines, beers, and mixed drinks). To top it off, the atmosphere was cool and the staff was friendly.

Maybe my favorite restaurant??

First went there back in November 2024 and I just kept thinking about it, so I had to go back! It was absolutely worth a second trip. I've gotten the 6 course pasta tasting, which I highly recommend for a special occasion. You get to try every pasta, plus a bottle of wine.

I've long called Ras my favorite restaurant, but I might have to stratify the ranking into tiers and crown Soda Club the best of the fine dining set.

Classy date night

If you're in NY, you should try both this place and Anixi. Anixi is fun and loud and great for a group. Soda Club is more intimate, befitting the Italian cuisine, and better suited for a date night.

Perfect for a special night

The arancini and the pastas are delicious - we ate Bigoli and Tagliateli. The place is also really cozy and the staff super nice. The Date Cake is also a must have!
