Delicious valentine’s dinner - Edit
My spouse and I tried Soda Club’s prix fixe valentines dinner, which was delicious and filling! Almost too much food. The wines we tried were delicious as well. We will return!

Excellent - Edit
Small restaurant. Amazing food. Kind and attentive staff. Very fair price for the quantity and quality of food. We did the 6 course pasta dinner which comes with a bottle of wine. Great wine selection.
Read moreOrdered the arancini appetizer which was delicious. Modest in size and reasonable in price for $10. I appreciated the smaller sized appetizer being that we were going on to order a 6 course pasta dinner.
The pastas were amazing and all 10/10. Each one too good to even compare to the next. Fairly uncommon pasta dishes to find vegan and made so well. Never tried cacio e Pepe in my 8 years being vegan until now and it was perfect. My omnivore boyfriend also rated each pasta at 9/10 or 10/10.
We ordered the date cake for dessert which was also 10/10. Not too sweet. We were stuffed already and I liked that the piece of cake was modest and only $14 (reasonable for NYC pricing).

-Ravioli - 9.5/10. The chantrelles were probably the best mushrooms I've ever had in any dish. The ravioli themselves were good but maybe the ricotta inside could have been a tad less dry and thick

Almost brought us to tears - Edit
Our meal moved us, emotionally. One dish (pasta in brodo) almost brought tears to my eyes, and might be among the best things I ever ate. Everything was just perfect, 10/10, exceptional food and atmosphere.

Soda club is an absolute gem! Incredible pasta, wine, and desserts. Every dish hits - It is one of our favorites in NYC.
Read moreWe usually order:
- Castelvetrano Olives which are so so good and I am not an olive person.
- Arancini which is so light and crispy on the outside and velvetty creamy inside
- Bucatini my husband's favorite
- Gigli my obsession with the creamy truffle sauce and crispy leeks!
- Butternut gnocchi was a special we tried this time which was buttery, topped with sage. absolutely delicious!
Last time we also bought the cannoli and date cake both I highly recommend! But with two appetizers and three pasta dishes we were so full and happy.
They also were just awarded the Michelin Bib Gormand third year in a row. Highly recommend checking out Soda Club on your next visit to NYC!

Best pasta I’ve ever had - Edit
I love the Soda Club! Their pastas are so delicious you’d think they’re loaded with cream. Indoors is cozy but outdoor seating is pleasant if you like a little more space, and the servers are attentive.

Wowwww the best pasta and date pudding - Edit
I am so obsessed with this place! Had the bucatini pasta, and the date cake with ice cream! As well as lots of red wine! This place is incredible. Love the ambience, low light, chill atmosphere, great ambience, and just the most incredible food! I’m a huge fan! Bucatini was flavourful, rich and creamy without being too fake or overloaded with stuff. Delicious! The date cake reminded me of so many things! Soft inside, crispy and cooked on the outside! Ice cream was so delicious!!! Highly recommend! Run don’t walk ❤️ get a reservation if going after 6pm on a Friday or weekend xx

Cozy East Village wine specializing in cream-based pasts, perfect for a date night - Edit
A cozy East Village wine bar, with a friendly staff, specializing in pasta with tasty vegan cream-based sauces.
Read moreStart your meal with the focaccia, then dive in with the tasting menu where you can try six pastas with a bottle of wine for $75pp. It’s hard enough to choose one of the six on its own but with the addition of the wine bottle (up to a $60 value), the pasta tasting is the way to go. It includes:
- Bucatini arrabbiata
- Cappelletti with morels
- Gigli on truffle cream sauce
- Fiochetti with corn and maitake mushrooms
- Ravioli with chanterelles
- Tagliatelle with broccoli rabe
Two pastas come at a time which are meant to be shared. The menu showcases different preparations of various mushrooms. And if you love truffle, like I do, two of the dishes were truffle-forward.
Save room for dessert—the date cake cuts through the creamy sauces ending you on a high. Located just across Tompkins Square Park, the Soda Club is a perfect spot for a date night.

Pasta tasting!!!!! - Edit
6 course pasting tasting!!!! I feel like that speaks for itself if you’re also a pasta lover. $75/pp got us a 6 course pasta tasting (and these were FULL sized plates to share of every pasta they sell) and a bottle of really good wine. The capelleti with morels is the best pasta I’ve ever had at a restaurant ever. Not every dish was a hit with us, but that’s just personal preference. Every dish was perfectly prepared. It was very loud inside because it’s a small restaurant. Hard for us to hear each other, but that’s the only con.

Great food and wine! - Edit
I went to soda club on my trip to NYC. The food was great and there was a good wine selection. We had the arancini, the gigli, the ravioli and the tagliatelle. The gigli were my favorite! The portions are not that small so it was a lot of food for 2. Overall great experience with amazing service and ambiance! Can’t wait to be back!

Decent food - Edit
The ambiance and service was great. The food wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Everything was clearly fresh, but lacked flavor. The ravioli was the best, but the gigli and bucatini were ok. It was also a bummer that the portions were small and overpriced.

Amazing - bring your non-vegan friends and don't even tell them it's vegan😄 - Edit
Delicious food, cool vibe, and excellent service. All the food was delicious, but the real star was the date cake - holy cow, the sweet/salty balance was insanely perfect. The wine in the "huh?" category was also unique and delicious. Amazing pasta, amazing appetizers, amazing meal. Can't wait to go back.

Pasta slapped, wine slapped, overall 10/10 experience. I took my mom and she actually couldn't tell it was vegan and was shocked when I told her! The waiter was super sweet and had incredible recommendations, all in all, making it such a great dinner. Every time my mom visits me in the city now, she actually suggests Soda Club for dinner at least once every time. Though I have not had a chance to go back since eating there the first time, I hope I have the chance to go back soon!

Delicious Tapas Style Pastas - Edit
Soda Club is a delicious Italian food experience. The dishes are meant to be shared so you can sample the variety of flavors. There is a tasting menu that includes all 6 pasta dishes and a bottle of wine for $75. We didn’t want the wine so the waiter offered to substitute the wine for appetizers and salad. The dishes came out a few at a time so we could enjoy a well paced meal. The Arancini was our favorite appetizer. The arugula radicchio salad with figs was delicious and countered the heavier pasta dishes. Our favorite pasta dish was the Gigli with truffle cream sauce. Based on other Happy Cow reviews, we ended our meal with the date cake for dessert, and it lived up to all the rave reviews!!
Read moreThe restaurant has one table for 4 in the back. It was nice sitting at this table because it was away from the main part of the restaurant where the tables were very close together.
Pros: Delicious foods, Nice vegan cheeses in the pasta dishes, Friendly wait staff

Amazing Food - Edit
Some of the most amazing vegan food I’ve had in nyc, the date cake was off the chain but unfortunately the service was not on par with their bib gourmand title, food came out in the wrong order and they forgot our app, the restaurant is very small and we were constantly getting bumped by people because the absolutely sloshed girls at the bar were so far into the aisle and none of the employees seemed to care, going almost out of their way to ignore our table. The food is impeccable but can’t say we will be regulars after the poor service, I think I might try coming on a weeknight to see if I have a better experience (the food was rly that good )

Great for a date night - Edit
We splurged here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was great. It’s a lovely spot, though it’s quite small and most tables are 2-tops. If you are a party of 4, definitely reserve early.
Read moreThe service was EXCELLENT. Sean poured us a few different wines so that we could choose a bottle we liked to pair with the 6-course pasta tasting. DEFINITELY go for the 6-course pasta tasting. The portions are small, but there are enough of them to fill you up, especially if you have starters. We started with the olives with vegan feta, the focaccia, and the watercress salad—all were delicious.
The main event, of course, was the pasta. The six pastas ranged from good to outstanding. The menu changes periodically, but this is what we had in order of our preference (see the photo for descriptions):
Tagliatelle - good, but too lemony
Ravioli - ditto, and not as flavorful as expected
Gigli - very good
Bucatini - very, very good though could have been a bit spicier
Manicotti - outstanding and perfectly balanced
Cappelletti - outstanding and just edged out the manicotti for our favorite dish; the broth was exceptional
Overall, a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning! It’s too expensive to go regularly, but it’s a great place when you have something to celebrate.
Pros: All vegan, Excellent service , Varied wine list
Cons: Expensive, Small space, and most tables are 2-tops
