Many tasty vegan options - Edit
This Thai restaurant is on the seafront, with inside and outside tables facing the sea! The waiter was friendly, he spoke English and Spanish. The service was prompt.
Read moreThere were quite a lot of vegan dishes on the menu and other dishes that could be veganised, which the waiter went through with us.
We had a salad to start with, which they substituted a vegan dressing for the advertised one, which was well presented and tasty. For our 2nd plate, we shared a vegetable Thai green curry. It was good, a little spicy, but not too much.
I had been put off by the bad review, but I was impressed and would definitely eat here again.
Pros: Many vegan options, Perfect location, Good service
Cons: Also serves meat

Very tasty - Edit
To be honest I had looked at the menu outside and dismissed going in as didn't see anything I could eat listed. Then I found a review on Google sitting they had adapted loads to be vegan. So we went back and wasn't disappointed.
Read moreWe were there for lunch and the place wasn't too busy. Our server was lovely and friendly. Food was served promptly.
I had sticky jasmine rice and a red Thai curry with tofu. My only complaint would be the sauce could have been a bit thicker, but personal preference. They also had asked me how spicy I'd like it .
To be honest I think they are missing out on customers as there is no mention that there is tofu options or that they adapt. If I had not stumbled on the Google review I'd have probably been eating elsewhere.
Pros: Quick service, Lovely food, Knowledge on vegan food.
Cons: No mention of vegan option or tofu.

Poor and disappointing - Edit
It hardly ever happens that we visit a restaurant where mostly everything is bad.....this visit to Siam Beach was an unexpected LOW! Initially we were very hopeful as this restaurant was recommended to us by friends. For starters the soup was decent but not outstanding. After that first dish we spent far too much time waiting (90 minutes) the waiter seemed unfriendly but was new and stressed (as I heard afterwards from the manager) He obviously did not know what he was ‘selling’ as he referred to the dishes by the numbers only.
Read moreThe quality of the food was mediocre at best and very bland. The Vegetable tempura was oozing with fat and was not seasoned. After a 90 minutes (!) wait for the main courses, during which we heard arguing in the kitchen, we finally received our main courses, but half of them were cold, the rice was not at all how it should be etc. etc. So we sent most of it back and complained. Still we had to pay the full amount. The head waiter did offer to re-do the dishes that were cold, but we had waiting far too long, it was already 22:00 hrs and we were there with kids who had just retuned from a school camp so at 22:00 we thought it was best not to re order (and wait another hour maybe?) When we asked for the bill we were astounded that we had to pay-full price for everything. No apologies, nothing! We were sad and disappointed. I decided to call the restaurant the next day when we had ‘cooled’ down somewhat asking for either some restitution or at least an apology. On the phone the manager was friendly when I told him we were disappointed after high hopes due to the recommendation of a friend….so we had a little talk and he decided to call the owner for advice or a decision. After 20 minutes I called him back he said there could be no part restitution and that he particularly needed to know the name of the friend that recommended the restaurant (?) When I asked him why this was relevant he said he ‘just needed to know’. Obviously he did not believe me when I told him the restaurant was recommended to us.
Anyway the result was that we were offered a bottle of wine or Cava at our next visit…when I told him we did not really particularly WANT to come back and that we do not drink alcohol he said he could not do anything else and (which says it all) that “the restaurant was always full and it did have enough customers”. Well obviously he does not need MORE customers and certainly not our business! never again!
Pros: the soup, the view
Cons: service, long wait, cold and bland food
