Soul kitchen - Edit

Excellent new addition in the Heaton area and a must visit in my opinion. We ordered two large vegan breakfasts (£7) with an Americano and vegan hot chocolate and did not have to wait long for the quickly, as it arrived quickly. The breakfasts were superb and included some of the best tempeh rashers and seitan sausages I have ever eaten and went well with the fresh avocado, two sour dough slices, balsamic roasted tomatoes and beans. The staff were very friendly and I particularly liked the atmosphere within the cafe. The child friendly measures they have provided are also a nice touch, making it a great place for everyone. Before leaving we also purchased a slice of carrot cake and vanilla chai cake to take away, as it would have been rude not too. Both cakes were so moist and delicious but the carrot cake was definitely my favourite. In total we spend just short of £25 and I cannot wait to return again.

Pros: Excellent food, Nice atmosphere, Friendly staff

great healthy food - Edit

A plate of simple looking food which was so tasty.
I had the hummus platter and it was so good, sourdough, avocado, hummus, vegan mozzarella and Pesto with slow roasted tomatoes and spinach.
A winner with a great atmosphere, lots of kids playing offering a great positive vibe.

Pros: healthy, staff, great atmosphere

Lovely local lunch - Edit

So The Shoe Tree cafe just opened and we thought we'd try it out because it's great to have veggie places in the neighborhood. We'll definitely come again. The food was tasty and good value for money. The cafe was clean and pleasant and the food came quickly. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also, the cafe is near the park, so you can walk off all the cake afterwards ;-).

Pros: Lots of vegan options., Child friendly., Dog friendly and close to the park.

Cons: Stops serving breakfast after midday :-(.
