Read moreI ordered the tempeh reuben sandwich which came with a side salad. It was the most unique reuben I have had. The sandwich was about four inches high and was difficult to eat. The reason for the height is that the tempeh was about 3/4" high and not thinly sliced like I have had in the past. Also, it was served on regular bread instead of the usual rye bread plus there was very little sauerkraut on it. I love creative & unusual things, but this just didn't hit the mark for me.
The staff and the customers were awesome!! Being from out-of-town and by myself, I started conversations with several people and had a great time on their outdoor seating area. After which I walked up & down the street going into some shops in this very cool area of the city.
This is a popular restaurant and orders can take some time (mine was 20 minutes) to appear on your table when they are super busy, so best not to be in a hurry! Just sit outside in their beautiful area and relax!!
I will, if in the area again, go again and try something else.
BTW, I gave them a HappyCow 5-star excellent reviews' window sticker and they joyfully accepted it!!😄

Stopped her for a late lunch including jackfruit tacos (small and super tasty), berry smoothie and Reuben sandwich. Loved the variety a s the flavor of the food. Pretty busy even at 2PM, so plan to spend some time waiting.

Most things are okay. Service has unfortunately declined and the food quality is not as good as before. We do not go as often as we used to after things changed towards not being as good as it was two years ago. This is the reason for updating my review.

This place is so freaking good. I have traveled a lot and this little spot in my hometown is my favorite. My favorite dishes are the summer rolls (can't remember what they're called exactly) and the tempeh "taco" (more like a salad). When I'm home we always go here at the suggestion of my NON VEGAN relatives!

Hubby and I each did a “pick your own” bowl and also tried the spring rolls. Neither of us could finish the food, but we’re stoked to have leftovers bc this place was delish! We tried 3 different sauces. They were all creamy and packed with flavor. Would eat here next time we’re passing through.

Love this place. Walking distance from our apartment and we frequent it on the weekends for the delicious vegan pancakes. Their bowls are huge and delicious. Breakfast burrito is not spicy enough for my taste but the hot sauce does the trick.

Our favorite place for weekend breakfast when we are in our “California home” (visiting my parents). The tofu scramble is so fresh and flavorful. Their buckwheat pancakes are absolutely delicious. For lunch the black bean tostada is a favorite of my whole family- but it is advised to ask for an extra tortilla to go with it! This place has never failed us and is one of our first stops when we get into Morro Bay. And we can stock up on essentials at Sunshine Market next door.

Shine is all vegan with so many options! The best place to get vegan in Morro Bay. I loved their avocado toast and bomb bagel and would highly recommend! They also have a cute health store right next to it which is a good place to get snacks for the road.

This is a fantastic breakfast and lunch joint. Returned for another visit after a few years, and it’s exactly as good as before. There is so much care and flavor put into the food. Recommend the Huevos Rancheros (Tomatillo Breakfast Tofu/Potato Scramble). This dish is so incredibly good. Also had the TTLA (BLT variation) in a wrap and the flavor was incredible. Every town deserves a vegan cafe as good as this!

Everything was delicious and the portions are huge.
