More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Because it is the ONLY lifestyle for me. It's funny. some think that it's just my choice in food, but it's so much more than that, ya know? It's a way of life and I'm lovin' it!!
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I joined this community because my good friends Eric & Diana run the site. I have been working for HappyCow since July 2010 as Listing Editor and as of January 2015, as Ambassador Program Coordinator.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
I love to drive so have taken many long road trips. One trip I took I drove through Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Montana and Idaho; all in one trip. i think that Montana and Idaho are two of the most beautiful states!
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
All veggies (except mushrooms), fruit, almond milk, smoothies (green and otherwise), oatmeal... the list goes on!
Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
I'm not really a reader of books; however I do read online and do research online. I love comedies & romantic TV and movies. My favorite TV show is Blackish; each member of the Johnson family is perfect for their role and it is LOL funny! I also was a huge fan of Psych & Monk.

HI! I’ve been traveling for about four months through South America, and now I’m headed back to the States to find work and save some money again. I’m headed to Los Angeles, and I’d love to hear any recommendations you have for vegan friendly places to check out. I’m really interested in Urban Agriculture, food justice, and fighting all forms of oppression, against human and non-human animals alike! Are there any groups, stores, restaurants, that you think I should visit? Thanks for your help!
I saw on your profile that you like Self-help books; I’m listening to Quantum Wellness by Cathy Freston right now, and it is really incredible. She considers wellness to involve mind, body, and spirit, and advocates for a plant-based diet. Just thought to share...
Thanks,
Stephanie

You are right about our inattention to the decor, chairs mismatching, odd tables. We started out recycling and reusing furniture, equipment and fixtures to save money and not buy new when used will do. The clunkyness can be offputting, but we do try to concentrate on the food. We have a 12 acre certified organic farm five minutes away and create our menus based on what we are producing at the time.
