Me ha encantado el sitio. La comida está muy rica y hay muchas opciones veganas en platos principales. En postres también hay alguna opción vegana. En mi caso he probado los fideos y los champis rellenos, de postre el crujiente de chocolate negro. Repetiría de nuevo!!

Read moreA día de hoy, es la única opción 100% vegetariana (con bastantes opciones veganas) de la región porque lo hace con una carta multicultural cuidada con mucho gusto: encontrarás platos asiáticos, mediterráneos, latinoamericános y árabes por igual. Este festín culinario hace del restaurante emeritense una opción en la que siempre repetir y probar algo distinto.
Una vez allí, para dos personas probamos la moussaka (10 sobre 10), el fricandó de seitán con setas, media de champiñones rellenos al Pedro Ximénez acompañándolo con vino extremeño (¡por supuesto!) y pan de quinoa exquisito. De postre, por alargar la velada un poco más, comimos la masa quebrada con manzana, canela y helado. Si le sumamos un personal atento y más que correcto, disfrutamos el camino de Emerita Augusta a los confines del Tíbet.
Queremos volver a ese maravilloso y utópico Shangri-La (y actualizar reseña, ya de paso).

We were greeted warmly upon arrival, which made for a pleasant start. However, once inside, the strong smell of incense was overpowering and detracted from the dining experience.

We tried the quesadillas with bell peppers, the burrito with beans, and the rice noodles with vegetables. The flavor was okay, but unfortunately, the ingredients did not seem fresh. The guacamole was clearly not homemade, and some components—like the pineapple and bell peppers—were straight from a can.
Honestly, I can only explain the many positive reviews by assuming that vegetarians and vegans in Mérida are just relieved to find any options at all. If there were more choices in town, I doubt this place would stand out

We enjoyed our dining experience here because the staff and atmosphere were great, the menu extensive and the food great. 2 salads, stuffed mushrooms and nachos still left room For apple pie and ice cream - all vegan of course. Highly recommend.

We (both vegans) ordered the seitan fricando, stuffed mushrooms (you need to specify that you want them with vegancheese) and the noodles. We also had two lovely cocktails and the crunchy chocolate and berry cake. Perhaps not the most creative and surprising cuisine but they do have flavoursome dishes. For ethical reasons, since they do serve animal products like eggs and dairy, I am restricting my score to a 4. There is no ethical use of animals as some vegetarians seem to believe. There is a proverb outside the premises ‘Cuando el poder del amor supere al amor al poder el mundo conocerá la paz’, which cannot represent a place that serves products that come from exploitation and abuse.

Cuando se hacen las cosas con cariño, salen bien. Se nota que el dueño pone interés en aquello que hace para que la velada sea redonda. Sin ser un restaurante espectacularmente bonito, si es muy agradable. La ambientación y la música de fondo invitan a pasar un buen rato.

This is a veggie and vegan restaurant. Prob a about 70/30 veggie/vegan. Lunch tapas and cakes really -probably not for dinner. We had burrito stuffed with red beans which was lovely and then some mushroom croquettes which were delicious. Unfortunately I found out after they weren’t vegan as they contained traces of milk. But that was entirely my fault I didnt read the menu properly. For desert we had the applie pie with vegan ice cream which although the pie was cold which was a bit disappointing was still delicious. My wife had a banana cake which she said was superb. It was very busy when we came here and the staff a little flustered but the service was prompt and friendly nonetheless. It’s just a pleasure to find somewhere in Spain where we can comfortably eat vegan food and when the food is great it’s a bonus. Recommended. Ps we saw a few people have the moussaka which looked lovely.
