They have a vegan set meal wjth salmorejo and salad. It saves lunch, but that's it.

The place had a strange smell tbh, but it was nice to have a lunch menu with options to choose from. They were out of salmorejo and couldn't provide a different sauce for the fried eggplant, which was nice but a bit oily and I couldn't finish the whole thing. The pisto was delicious.

La experiencia en este restaurante fue buena, tienen un menú vegano bien indicado con tres opciones de primeros y de segundos más postres. Probamos varios platos y todos estaban muy sabrosos y en cantidades aceptables. Incluso la quinoa con verduras, que puede resultar un plato demasiado sencillo, estaba muy bien especiada y salteada. Tenían helado de soja entre los postres. Como punto negativo, para el precio que tiene el menú podría incluir alguna bebida. Pero, en general, bien, y el trato fue muy amable. Ojalá más sitios en la zona se animasen a incluir menús o platos veganos tan claramente.

Read moreEs muy recomendable el salmorejo con helado de mandarina, una opción poco común y que está increíble. El wok de quinoa también me gustó mucho, está especiado y muy rico. Y de postre te dan opción a helado de soja, a mí me lo dieron de chocolate, también destacable porque en sitios no veganos no suelen tener nada mas allá de fruta.
Buen sitio para ir en familia y está en el centro.

Mediocre vegan food - Edit
I was glad to find a vegan set menu (menu del dia) in Merida's historic district, but the food itself is quite mediocre. It's also 1 euro more than the regular (non-vegan) menu del dia, which doesn't make make sense given how simple the vegan food is. The salmorejo was good but the fried eggplant that came with it was overly greasy. The quinoa and vegetable stir-fry was a bit burnt but edible. Dessert is canned fruits. It's better than nothing but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. At least the service is friendly.

Tasty quinoa and veggies, although not a great variety. Only onion, carrot and courgette. When asked if a particular aubergine dish was vegan so we could share, the waitress confirmed. When it arrived, it was covered in melted in goat cheese. "Ah, it's vegerarians that eat cheese, not vegans" was her comment.

Un lugar con muchas opciones diferentes, tienen varios menús normales, ademas de menú para celiacos y veganos. Personal muy amable y el edificio tiene un patio y mucho sitio dentro.
