Decent food - Edit
I was the only customer there. The restaurant looks like a cheap place but the prices are quite high. The staff was very friendly though not much English spoken. I paid 35 Soles for my quinoa dish. The taste and portion size was good but nothing extraordinary.
Read moreI didn't have to pay anything extra! My food was 35 soles and the big ginger tea 10 soles so the bill was 45 Soles.
Pros: All vegetarian/vegan
Cons: Expensive for what it is

"The only vegan restaurant offering a selection of vegetarian dishes in Machu Picchu!" - Edit
Excellent, friendly staff serving up a delicious, wild mix of Peruvian and Indian dishes.
Read more"The only vegan restaurant offering a selection of vegetarian dishes in Machu Picchu!" they declare. Love it.
Had delicious fresh juice blends and tried a handful of dishes, all delicious. Try the Peruvian classics - great to have vegan versions of those meat dishes. We really appreciated the good feeling of the staff and yummy food. Nice bread!

Below average - Edit
It is an Indian-Peruvian vegetarian restaurant ( mostly vegan). The food is endurable and the price is not cheap. The broccolis in my Chifa are still a bit raw.

Food is okay, service is terrible - Edit
Came here with my Peruvian family for dinner. The saltado and causa was nice, but the anticuchos, risotto and sambhar were okay at best. The potatoes we were served were raw nd had to be cooked again. We ordered a jarra/jug of lemonade for the group. They only brought enough for 3 people and then charged us for all 6 of us. S/ 14 per half a glass of lemonade is a huge rip-off even by Western standards. When we complained about it the owner was standoff-ish and rude with us even though we had already spent so much money on the food, and were patient with the uncooked meals we were given.

Pros: Causa is good

Unexpected delight! - Edit
Everywhere in Aguas Calientes is overpriced. I came here as a bit of a last resort because, although it had seemed expensive at first, all of the veggie options offered in the regular restaurants looked awful and weren't any cheaper. I ordered the lentil “hamburger”, which was the least expensive dish on the menu and I had low expectations. It was absolutely fantastic. Not a hamburger in the traditional sense, it was in chapati bread instead of a bun and was enormous (and absolutely delicious.) I can’t comment on anything else that was on the menu but this was remarkably good value for the area. I returned the next day and had the same again, along with a kombucha. Definitely recommended.

Peaceful Post-Machu Picchu Spot 👏 - Edit
Great find after visiting Machu Picchu! It was pretty empty the day we went, but the food was really good — fresh, flavorful, and comforting. Perfect place to relax and refuel after a long day of exploring.

Very tasty Lomo Saltado - Edit
We got a lomo saltado that was so good my gf made me sure. The falafel was also tasty for being this far from a city but the Saltado is the way to go.

Good food but expensive - Edit
This was genuinely the most expensive place I've eaten at my whole trip to Peru. The food was nice but not as nice as the fully vegan places in cusco or Lima and more expensive than all of them.

Lovely owner and good food - Edit
The owner is lovely and she speaks a bit of English which was good for me. The inside of the restaurant isn’t that great, it’s basic, but the food was very nice. I had the curry rice and vegetables. It was a good portion and had avocado on it which is always a winner for me.

Great vegan option in town - Edit
Got the chaufa de quinoa and the stuffed avocado and they were a delicious healthy treat to find in such a small town with not many vegan options. Would get it again!

This place was great, the menu is extensive with lots of options. The anticucho was amazing, as was the sandwich. Friendly staff. Bit more expensive but worth it to be in a mostly vegan place.

Amazing dishes but a bit overpriced - Edit
Loved the restaurant, simple but flavourful. The prices, as most others in Águas Calientes, are high. Went 2 times and wasn't disappointed, portions are big so be aware if you're looking to order starters!

Great mix of Peruvian and Indian food - Edit
The best option in Aguas Calientes. It's expensive but on average not more than other restaurants in town. The menu is pretty extensive with lots of great options to choose from, with a Peruvian section and an Indian section. I had the causa rellena and it was amazing! Beautifully presented, tasty and rich. It was really satisfying so unfortunately there was no room left for dessert. Maybe next time!

Excellent vegan Peruvian food - Edit
Loved the food here, it’s all vegan except for a handful of vegetarian dishes, we had the Anticucho and Lomo Salgado and both were excellent, very flavorful. They make their own Seitan in house and it is delicious! Must add to your Machu Picchu visit.

I got the vegan paella and it was delicious. The portion was large so I also got a box to bring some back to the hotel with me. It was quite expensive, but this is Aguas Calientes so I expected that. Would definitely recommend.
