Great "Power Salad" - Edit
I had Spinach Curry with Grilled Vegan Cheese (950 yen) and Power Salad with quinoa and 9 vegetables (300 yen)
Read moreThe curry was so spicy I should have gone for a larger bowl of rice (you can choose from small, medium, large, x-large +110 yen and mega +220 yen)
They regularly change menus and my favorite one so far is soy meat keema curry with a huge amount of vegetables
Coffee is served with soy milk and maple syrup
You can use your Peace Cafe eco point card here and if you collect 10 stamps and you'll get one free deli or cream pudding
Yokohama Station West Exit Basement Floor is like a maze, but it is in the "Joinus Dining" section before the Takashimaya Department Store
The easiest way to get to the restaurant is to head to the West Exit, turn left just before getting out of the station building from the exit, take the nearest escalator/stairs in front of the hat shop CA4LA down to the basement and you will find a sign of "Joinus Dining"

The direction provided in this post helps me a lot in finding this cafe. I would like to add some details for clarification:
Read more1. When heading to the West Exit in the Yokohama Station, go up the escalator or stair and turn left immediately into the building.
2. After taking the escalator down to the basement, turn right and go towards the hallway where you'll see a slew of restaurants. The first restaurant on the right side is Afuri which though not a vegan joint but has vegan ramen option. Peace Cafe is third or fourth restaurant on the left side.

Great vegan curry! - Edit
Peace Cafré's Shibuya location is one of my favorites, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this dine-in location near me. Looks like their menu changed as of April 2022, and for now they're only serving curry. I got the "Grilled cheese spinach curry" and added soy meat for a fee. It came with a small salad too. Delicious! Would highly recommend trying the "grilled cheese" as a topping. English menu is available and staff is so nice. Typical curry dining experience- think a quaint version of CocoIchi. They also serve pudding and vegan ice cream which I did not try. I only wish they had a larger variety of menu items, but it looks like they do rotate menu options seasonally. Prepackaged takeaway options would be nice as well, since that is what drew me to the Shibuya location. The price is very reasonable. Will go again!

Good curry, very good pudding, and great lassi - Edit
Had the extreme spice curry (their newest sauce option) and roasted vegetables. Tasty, though I’ll try one of the other sauces next time. The soy yogurt lassi was fantastic! And my husband really liked his cacao coffee pudding.

Not only for curry lovers - Edit
I always whine and complain about the lack of healthy/low calorie/low carb/high protein vegan options in restaurants (WHY?!). When I got to Peace Cafe and saw that most of the dishes on Google Maps reviews weren't available and my options were looking like basically curry rice or curry rice (which I don't really eat!), I sulked.
Read moreHowever, the super kind staff explained to me that side dishes can be made main with toppings, in a sort of make-your-own-plate style. With the salad starting at 2XX¥, that was such good news!
I expected a bland, tiny side salad, but it was a decent size with some delicious dressing! Props to the cute soy "egg" and the delicious tempeh, which I haven't seen often in Tokyo. The avocado purin was sold out and I wish the almond ice cream would have been more milky/creamy, though.
The seating space is really cozy for solo diners! #Veganuary
Pros: Side dishes are cheap, Cozy, nice atmosphere, Less-frequent vegan toppings available
Cons: Not that many options besides curry, Kinda slow service

Peace Cafe always hits the spot, whether it's the deli in Shibuya or this lovely curry restaurant in Yokohama. On our last visit we had the soy meat karaage curry with a vegan egg and the Thai style red curry. Amazing flavor and truly satisfying!

Vegan curry cafe - Edit
**Located inside Yokohama station, B1F Join Us Department store**
Read moreAll vegan curry house with a touch of Indian and Hawaiian flavors.
I had the soy meat curry, although I went with the "normal level" spice level, the curry was quite spicy. Portions are very small, you should order rice size M or L to get full. And get lots of water because this was spicy lol. The curry I had tasted Indian inspired, and the soy meat chunks were huge and filling.
Staff are wonderful and cafe is bright and pretty. Really good service and menu is easy to navigate.
Pros: Vegan curry house, Bright and pretty cafe
Cons: Tad bit expensive, but not outrageous., Hard to find at first

Fantastic service. - Edit
The staff working here bust their bums. In these COVID times, they have long wooden tables with each patron separated with plexiglass. There were at least two tables that could accommodate parties of 4 (I think). We were a party of three. They separated us at first, but when another seat next to my companions opened up, they quickly moved me. I didn't mind sitting away.
Read moreTwo of us ordered the Fried Soy Meat, and one ordered the Tofu Cutlets Curry. I didn't particularly care for it, but I'm not a fan of Japanese curry. The people I was with do, and enjoyed it. I thought the salad was very good.
I was using Google Maps to try and find it. That didn't help. The information desk did. The Peace Cafe is in the basement.
Pros: Great staff
Cons: Limited menu... must like Japanese Curry

No complaints! - Edit
Peace Cafe specializes in curry, so if that’s what you’re in the mood for, you’ll be happy here! The original curry was a tad spicy for my taste but I fully admit I’m a wimp. My husband liked it very much. Both the tofu katsu and the fried soy meat were excellent. I also really enjoyed their lassi to drink. The only “complaints” I had were that the menu lacked variety (it’s basically all curry) and the tofu fried egg was sold out.

A welcome addition to Yokohama - Edit
FINALLY!! A vegan-friendly restaurant has opened in Yokohama Station. And what a restaurant it is!!
Peace Cafe is the second location of the all-vegan Hawaiian/ Japanese restaurant. You may know their first location, a takeaway-only place located in Shibuya Scramble Square.
As of today, they have a new, 100% vegan, eat-in restaurant located in B1F of the Joinus department store. It’s where the Minami Aoyama Yasai Kichi used to be.
This Peace Cafe is all about curry. I admit I was a little disappointed when I first heard that. As a longtime vegan, I’m kind of curry-d out by this point 😂
But I needn’t have worried. Not only is Peace Cafe’s curry spicy and delicious, but you can order it with the Shibuya favorites you’ve grown to love, like mochiko chicken, katsu, and sunny-side up eggs. All vegan, of course!
The super kind and attentive server earned us that the Original Spice Curry was spicy, and it was, but not overwhelmingly so. The vegan meats were fried to perfection and the turmeric rice was a nice touch. YUM!
The curries are a really good value. You can choose how much rice you want, and they come with a free drink too. You won’t leave hungry.
For dessert we had the Chocolate Banana Waffle. It was a little hard to eat the ice cream with a fork, but worth the effort. I liked the light coconut taste of the vanilla ice cream.
I also have to give props to Peace Cafe’s generously-sized water glasses, a rare thing here in Japan👍🏽👍🏽
Peace Cafe Yokohama is here, and is glorious. Laugh, and grow fat.
Pros: All-vegan, all yummy, Good value for money, Friendly staff
