I find the portion a bit small tho if you are very hungry. I never have to wait at this place. Even on a weekend you get in very fast.
For someone who isn’t good with hot foods like me, they have a sweet tomato curry as well.
The menu changed a bit since the name change. They do offer the tempeh anymore🥲

Convenient location and good price/quality ratio make peace cafe a great choice if you are at yokohama station and need a quick meal. The curry is tasty roux and the toppings delicious! I also loved the mango lassi.

Cute little place with vegan Japanese curry and ice cream. Has an English menu and was a great experience overall. Delicious curry with a bunch of vegan meat and veggies to put on and customize it.

We’ve always wanted to try the curry of Peace Cafe, but we were too lazy to go outside Tokyo to try it…until today. I tried their spiciest curry, which I like better than the spinach curry. My partner prefers the spinach curry tho.
Read moreWhat I like about their curry is that it tasted like it’s hand-made. Maybe because it is? We’re not sure since we didn’t ask, but either way it was so good. The tofu katsu and the soy meat karaage were okay since we’ve tried better ones from other cafes.
Btw, Peace Cafe will change their name soon.

You can get here by walking underground from Yokohama station. Ask for directions towards the JOINUS area. There are multiple eateries and shops.

The food was so tasty and the staff were lovely! I 100% recommend if you are in the area! Yokohama is a lovely place to visit anyways and this place is truly a fantastic place for lunch! Allergens clearly labelled as well!

Went with someone else and we both had curries with tofu katsu and I had vegetables on mine as well. They were both delicious! You can choose how much rice you get as well. They have an English menu but it is missing a few things that the Japanese menu has for some reason. My curry was about 1400 yen (about $10 usd) and the portion was good for the price. I would definitely stop by again if we’re in the area again to try the ice cream.

Much much better than your average Japanese curry - Edit
This was an absolute gem in the middle of Yokohama station. I made the mistake of not looking at the address and relying on the map within the app which didn't show my current location correctly. Once I used the Google Map app directly and noted from the address that it was in the Joinus area, I was able to find the location within the foodcourt, by Takashimaya in the basement.
Read moreThere were about 4 or 5 curries, all looking great. I love spinach curry which is not easy to get. I got that plus additional toppings of roasted vegetables and a delicious tofu cutlet. The price was not bad, and I topped it off with lemon and ginger ice cream. There were two other flavours.
If I'm ever in the area I will definitely try it again.
Pros: Right in the middle of Yokohama station (basement), Delicious!, Reasonably priced

Wow this was great food! All vegan which is great, multiple curry options or salad bowls. Good drinks list and 3 types of ice creams. So fresh and filling, reasonably priced. English menu available and they take credit card. Highly recommend

I finished with some delicious dessert and coffee with soy milk and sirup on the side ☕️ (coffee isn’t good in whole Japan unfortunately)
Gateau Chocolate and Framboises Sorbet 🍧 gluten-free. Sorbet was great, the chocolate ok
They have their second branch in Hawaii and I bet it’s as good! But the service here is outstanding so polite and fluent in English

Read moreI had the spicy curry with brown rice and soy chunks karaage and a free ice rooibos for 1140 yen. You can choose from three sizes of rice for the same price. The largest was very filling and I had the next size down the next day.
Spinach curry and tofu cutlet (tofukatsu) were amazing. This cost 1200yen. The salad bowl looks amazing too. Many gf options, just ask. The curries are naturally gf I think.

Even though the menu is all in Japanese it's super easy to order. The toppings all look delicious, I tried the tofu katsu and the sunny side up egg, with their original curry and brown rice. I also ordered a salad and coconut ice cream for dessert .

I had Spinach Curry with Grilled Vegan Cheese (950 yen) and Power Salad with quinoa and 9 vegetables (300 yen)

They regularly change menus and my favorite one so far is soy meat keema curry with a huge amount of vegetables
Coffee is served with soy milk and maple syrup
You can use your Peace Cafe eco point card here and if you collect 10 stamps and you'll get one free deli or cream pudding
Yokohama Station West Exit Basement Floor is like a maze, but it is in the "Joinus Dining" section before the Takashimaya Department Store
The easiest way to get to the restaurant is to head to the West Exit, turn left just before getting out of the station building from the exit, take the nearest escalator/stairs in front of the hat shop CA4LA down to the basement and you will find a sign of "Joinus Dining"

Read more1. When heading to the West Exit in the Yokohama Station, go up the escalator or stair and turn left immediately into the building.
2. After taking the escalator down to the basement, turn right and go towards the hallway where you'll see a slew of restaurants. The first restaurant on the right side is Afuri which though not a vegan joint but has vegan ramen option. Peace Cafe is third or fourth restaurant on the left side.

Great vegan curry! - Edit
Peace Cafré's Shibuya location is one of my favorites, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this dine-in location near me. Looks like their menu changed as of April 2022, and for now they're only serving curry. I got the "Grilled cheese spinach curry" and added soy meat for a fee. It came with a small salad too. Delicious! Would highly recommend trying the "grilled cheese" as a topping. English menu is available and staff is so nice. Typical curry dining experience- think a quaint version of CocoIchi. They also serve pudding and vegan ice cream which I did not try. I only wish they had a larger variety of menu items, but it looks like they do rotate menu options seasonally. Prepackaged takeaway options would be nice as well, since that is what drew me to the Shibuya location. The price is very reasonable. Will go again!

Had the extreme spice curry (their newest sauce option) and roasted vegetables. Tasty, though I’ll try one of the other sauces next time. The soy yogurt lassi was fantastic! And my husband really liked his cacao coffee pudding.
