Take the subway to Shanghai Natural History Museum. Take exit 2. When exiting don't turn left to the street, but to the right to the inside of the building. Walk to the elevator to the left and go to floor 4. When exiting the elevator it's across the hallway with splendid view of Shanghai's skyline.

Una experiencia completamente inesperada. Ru Pure Vegan no es solo un restaurante vegano, es cocina de alto nivel basada en plantas.
Read morePedimos varios platillos y todos estaban impecables en sabor y presentación. El curry de vegetales tenía un balance perfecto, cremoso pero ligero, con verduras frescas y bien cocinadas. La pizza fue una sorpresa total: masa perfectamente horneada, crujiente por fuera y esponjosa por dentro, con ingredientes bien integrados. Y el tofu con quinoa y flores comestibles fue simplemente espectacular, tanto visual como en textura.
Se nota técnica, creatividad y respeto por los ingredientes. No es comida vegana “de reemplazo”, es cocina bien pensada.
El espacio es elegante y tranquilo, ideal para una cena relajada. Servicio atento y profesional.
Definitivamente uno de los mejores restaurantes veganos que he probado en Asia.
Volvería sin dudarlo.

We had such a lovely experience here. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in our trip, veganism, and everything in between — it felt like chatting with old friends. The food was amazing, especially if you’re looking for a little break from Asian cuisine. It was my first time having pizza in the last two weeks of traveling and it absolutely did not disappoint.

When I decided to try out this resturant on my recent trip to Shanghai, there happened to be a wedding going on when I got there. I was disappointed and was about to leave when one of the lovely staff members approached me and asked if I wanted to get takeout. I asked if that would be possible as I would understand if that couldn't happen because of the party going on. They assured me it was no problem and I ordered the pizza and a mooncake. OMG the pizza was the most delicious pizza I have ever had and the mooncake was also amazing. While I was waiting for my food one of the management staff was talking to me about veganism and everyone was so friendly and lovely from the moment I walked in until I left. They also put your food in those types of bags that pizza delivery people have that keeps the pizza hot and my pizza was still warm by the time I got back to my hotel ! MUST try if in Shanghai.

This space is absolutely amazing. From the warm welcome to the service til the menu and the creative fusion kitchen! I will definitively go back. The kind waitress invited me for tea ceremony which was free and took 3 hours (maybe we were so chatty with each other). Great and soulful experience and very interesting to learn about tea in China. I even got some presents as I headed back to my hotel. Really touching and outstanding.

The waiters understand English and speak it a bit.
That's all that was good about it. We had bland rice, the starters were really tiny and the main course was bland.
Maybe they cater to European taste with very little spice or flavor but for us it was a no go.

Read moreSimilar to a couple other reviewers, I ate here twice in a relatively short trip. I normally avoid revisiting the same places when travelling, and there's certainly no shortage of great vegan and veggie places in Shanghai, but the food was simply that good! So many intriguing dishes that I had to come back.
Don't be put off by the note that reservations are required. I almost didn't try because of that, but I walked in twice without reservations and was greeted with a big smile and promptly seated. It might be different for big groups (it was justifiably busy even on a Sunday and Tuesday), but it's worth trying.
And don't give up when you're standing outside a nondescript shopping centre. You're nearly there!

My husband and I were in Shanghai and visited here twice as we loved it so much. The menu is vast but the quality is also great meaning everything was a good choice!

We had Lions mane steakes, tempeh flat breads, durian pizza, golden fungus with avo "egg" fried rice.
Rice milk with beet crystals to drink.
Desserts were brilliant as well!
