Delicious vegan lunch - Edit
We were looking for something with options for my family after a hike up Smith Rock. Around 5 food trucks located within the Barn in Sisters. Sit inside or outside next to firepit. Had an amazing pumpkin soup with the harvest salad which was full of veggies- loved the roasted beets! Yum.

Delicious, nice people, good size portions. I got the nachos, they are enough for 2 - 4 people. The queso and sour cream were delicious. I added jalapeños which are pickled there. We also tried the harvest sandwitch which was a nice change from a normal veggie sandwich. It was grilled and came with sweet potatoes. We added tofu on the side because we were thinking we might need some substance. We were wrong the sandwich was huge. The tofu was also great though.

The sunshine bowl has exceptional flavors and tons of huge pineapple chunks. Rootbound burger, again flavorful, and real, not trying to imitate anything. The nachos could use a bit more flavor. The cashew queso is good, though it appears the salsa verde was left off. Adding tomatoes and onions would be good. Overall, high priced, but tasty.

My partner and I recently stopped in Sisters for lunch and she'd suggested we try Rootbound. We ordered the Savory Bowl and Technicolor Nachos from their Summer '24 menu. Portions were large and the price was fair, but more importantly the food itself was phenomenal! I love supporting independent vegan restaurants but sometimes I'm left feeling like I could've made the dishes better myself at home. Not the case here whatsoever. Went back to talk with the folks running the cart who were extremely friendly and gracious enough to discuss tips and ingredients. I only wish I lived closer to Sisters so I could patronize this awesome woman owned/operated food cart regularly!

I actually got dinner from Rootbound 3 nights in a row while in town. The first night, we got takeout for 6 people and everyone liked it. My aunt referred to the restaurant as "pineapple forward," which I thought was funny and also true. The two bowls they offer have a lot of pineapple in them. I love pineapple and was very happy with the sunshine bowl.

I ordered the Savory Bowl, which includes grilled pineapple and tofu over coconut rice in house-made teriyaki sauce with pickled jalapenos, carrots, and radish, topped with green onion, toasted sesame, and micro greens. It was filling and flavorful.

When you're on the road traveling, it's sometimes very difficult to find tasty, fresh and healthy vegan eats. Rootbound hit it out of the park! Great food and great service. We will come back whenever we are in the area. If we were even close, we'd make the drive to eat here. They do not disappoint.

We tried the special which was a cauliflower salad sandwich and the burger. Both were good, but the price is pretty steep; both came with tortilla chips, but no salsa.

Delicious Sunshine bowl - Edit
I’ve been hearing my friends talk about this new food cart and literally “yum!” is what two said and then a third today said it was “delicious” so I tried the sunshine bowl and my partner had the veg burger and both were definitely worth it. Also the grilled tofu on the bowl was YUM!!
