No vegan menu options. No menu vegetarian options.

Not sure why this place is listed on HappyCow, as they have succeeded in having zero vegan or vegetarian options. Something that used to be on the menu, which is no longer on the menu, does not count as a vegetarian option. E.g. “There used to be a train station in this town”, does not help someone who needs a train station in the present and such a place should not be listed in a travel guide as an active train station. Especially as most reactions in this airport are confusion or disdain/mockery when asking about vegetarian options.

Pros: ?

Cons: Nothing vegan or vegetarian.

“Vegan” with egg

My friend just ordered the vegan kimbap and got the egg. Still nothing really vegan at this airport, in 2023.

Decent kimbap

They didn’t have any vegan options available on the menu when I visited (all marked as sold out), but was able to get them to make the fried tofu kimbap without the egg. It was pretty good!

They took the Vegan/Veg option off the menu when I went

They said they no longer had a vegan veg option and blocked it off the menu

Pros: One option

Cons: Out of the one option

I ate here when I had an 11 hour layover at this airport. It wasn’t great but I also do not care for seaweed/nori. If you have lounge access, you might find better options in there. The star alliance lounge was slightly helpful for me but not amazing.

Another option would be to take the train into Seoul and explore a local option if you have a long layover. I selected this option and found it to be very inexpensive and worthwhile (it is a long train ride though). The airport also offers free tours you can take during your long layover; however, it is imperative that you pre-book these because they sell out very quickly (I wasn’t so lucky). If you’ve got time, I highly recommend heading into Seoul to try the local foods! Getting back through security was very simple and I was able to leave my bag at the airport since it was being checked through.

Unreliable but edible

only vegan option... "sorry, dont have today". It was noon on a weekday. Luckily I did not rely on them and had other plans.

Update: ok, they had option the next time I was in airport. Def not the best gimbap but will keep you from getting hungry on flight with no vegan options.

Decent option

I was happy to find a vegan option at the airport. The gimbap wasn't amazing but all the ingredients tasted fresh.

The yoghurt sauce they gave me contained dairy though so I'd double check with the staff.

Pros: Cheap, Fresh ingredients

Cons: A bit bland , Sauce contains dairy

Psyched!!

I’ve been trying to get here since I first landed at Incheon in May of 2020. Every time I fly, I’m either leaving late or in T2…but it finally worked out, and it couldn’t be better timing bc I was on a last minute flight so I couldn’t request a vegan meal with the airline. I got to bring two gimbap rolls on board and they were excellent! I got the wasabi sauce side and it was nice and hot. So happy for this option!

Wasn’t expecting a vegan find, therefore I’m satisfied

Considering there aren’t too many restaurants in the airport and vegan options is nearly a myth in South Korea, I am so satisfied to have found this place. There are multiple options with tofu and a unlimeat (plant-based meat) option!

The 김밥 itself is quite dry, but paired with the wasabi sauce is nice. I asked for no egg but I actually have no idea if it comes with egg. Also this isn’t fully traditional 김밥, but instead has lettuce cabbage and peppers which is tasty.

Easy

Just some simple kimbap. The tofu is nice. They told me one had egg and one didn't, so they made me a new one without egg for the one that did. Nice to have an option on Incheon. At gate 15

Pros: Vegan kimbap

Cons: Not 100% vegan

Yummy

Low key, cheap and easy. Menu is clear, with pictures, so it’s easy to point to what you want. Three vegetarian options, but I had to ask to remove the egg. Portion was moderate.

Not bad, staff very helpful.

We had no issues getting the meal without egg, in fact as soon as I ordered the vegetarian and tried to say something extra the server immediately guessed I did not want egg.

We ordered one of each vege roll to try and have to agree with some of the other reviewers that they come across as tasty but a little bland, apart from the wasabi one which I would say was fairly unevenly spread throughout the roll where some slices burned your nose from your face, and others had barely any taste.

Overall it was satisfying to have a filling vegan meal in a Korean airport, and I'm actually grateful that the rolls are advertised as 'healthy choices' because it negates the need for having to remove other non-vegan things you'd often find, like mayo- but it does result in a slightly lacking in flavour dish.

Pros: Helpful staff, low price.

Cons: Fairly bland, no condiments (soy sauce) available.

Clearly labelled option

Should be quite healthy - flavour is just a little plain though (I guess the low salt motto goes against soy sauce).

Very good kimbap and so convenient in the airport

My partner and I tried the three veggie rolls (fried tofu / fried tofu with wasabi / soy meat). It was really filling and yummy. Just make sure you ask without egg if you're vegan. It's also very cheap!

Good gimbap

They told me none of the vegetarian gimbap rolls had egg in them, so I got the tofu wasabi roll, and it was very good and affordable for the airport (only 3,700 KRW!).

Pros: Good vegan options, cheap

They did leave out the egg

For me, they took the egg out of the soy galbi gimbab, but I was told that it would take a bit longer. Gimbab is pretty decent.

They told me they can't take out the egg.

I don't understand how the other reviewer got a Kimbap without egg. When I went there, they told me that all Kimbap rolls come to the airport pre-made and thus cannot be customized to leave out the egg. I had to starve because I could not find a single vegan option at the airport. Very frustrating.

Cons: No way to make Kimbap vegan.

my No1 option inside the airport

I go here almost every time I fly. And I fly a lot! I get the soy galbi roll and tell them to leave out the egg to make it vegan. This can be done with the other 2 options as well.

Pros: quick and good food
