Advertised vegan options but not vegan. If you want vegan food shop the Wednesday or Saturday market and get fresh fruits vegetables and spreads ( artichoke truffle spread, tomato spread, hummus)and make a picnic. This restaurant will disappoint.

Limited but tasty vegan options. Had the leeks with vinaigrette to start (make sure you ask them to remove the hard boiled egg) and then a vegetable platter for main course. Delicious

Vegan option promoted, clear understanding of veganism - Edit
In Cassis it can be hard to find vegan choices for lunch or dinner. Also in Le Calendal there are mostly meat or seafood choices, but they have two clearly labeled vegetarian options. On the menu they also promote that there are vegan choices on request.
Read moreSince they use local products, their menu changes regularly. When we were there, they could only offer a mediterrane vegetable plate for vegans. Even though it does not seem like much, it tasted delicious. Also non-vegans were very satisfied and on a Saturday evening all tables were full and people queued all the time. Reservation recommended!
All in all there could be more vegan choices, but I was happy to have a clear understanding of veganism, tasty food and also communication in english was possible.

Sat outdoors in the Mediterranean air in a space with maybe 10 tables. It’s in a smooth rock alleyway (but perhaps steps to get to the alleyway?). Anyways, as to the food — delicious and well prepared. The requested vegan plate was a medley of French/Provençal offerings all perfect for mopping up with bread with a garlic basil spread. The other diner eats fish, and it was equally delicious.
