Love, love, love it! Wish I lived here, I'd eat an Italian every day! I subbed banana peppers for jalapeños. Amazing!!! Everything was delicious, I extra loved the Italian, Tuna, Potato, and Pasta salad!

Epic all vegan deli! We had the fig and it was amazing! Beware, the sandwiches are massive! Can definitely split between two people. In the same building as vegan ice cream! The folks are so nice as well. Excellent hardcore punk vibe mixed with kitties and unicorns.

Fantastic community hub - Edit
We got there about 5 minutes before opening on a Sunday and it’s a good thing we did because they got packed IMMEDIATELY! The owners have obviously done a phenomenal job creating a community space. Everyone seemed to know (and like!) each other, the food, the vibes…. Great energy!
Read moreThe seitan is excellent but the sandwiches skewed bread-heavy for my tastes. I would’ve liked a little more filling and less bread. The sandwiches are also absolutely massive, so I ended up mostly eating the guts and leaving the bread behind. This is a personal preference, nothing to complain about, just a difference of taste. I mention it because if you don’t eat a lot of bread you might prefer one of the salad options.
I wish I could’ve gotten some seitan slices to go, but I was walking around the whole day and definitely couldn’t carry it without risking it getting funky. Next time, because I’ll definitely be back when I come through PVD again!

I love a vegan deli so whenever I travel and come across one I always make sure to stop in. Ordered half of the frank italian grinder and half of the trio. Both sandwiches had great flavor but the meat was just a little too thick for me. It made a difference in my rating, so I wish the meat was sliced more thinly. Overall great place and would definitely give them another try.

They have a sandwich with everything on it and if you finish it in 30 mins you get your name on the wall.......still gotta pay though....like $27.
I want to go back and try it.
PVD Veg Deli shares the space with Like No Udder vegan ice cream so you get your dessert right there too !!!

Super tasty, giant subs for a non-giant price. The “tuna” is my fav! Once we got there right around closing (I didn’t realize they were about to close) and they made sandwiches for us anyway. Awesome folks.

We had heard such great things about PVD and decided to visit while we were in town for RI Vegfest. The sandwiches are nothing short of perfect, and deli slices by the pound?? Sign me up! Loved the Not a Reuben, and I got 2 lbs of pepperoni and Italian seitan slices to take home and freeze. A must visit!! I’ll see you in my dreams, PVD. ☁️🌙

We stopped in here while visiting Providence for Vegfest and it was amazing. We can back the next day. Incredible flavors, huge sandwiches, and just super delicious. We had the Italian, which was just like I remember it but better since it’s vegan. Loved the food, the vibe and we also picked up some hard to find cheeses from Dare and Rind.Also, classic deli style macaroni salad, chicken salad, and more in the grab and go! And it’s in the same space as the famous Like No Udder vegan ice cream shop!!

The true intersection of quality meets quantity. The sandwiches here are giant and so, so, so delicious. The Italian was amazing and the tuna was also very good. Worth stopping by if you are in the providence area and love a good sandwich! I already cannot wait to come back!!

I cant say enough good things about this place. The portions are huge, the prices are fair and the food is delicious. Rich gives so much back to the community through the "pay it forward" free sandwich system. Everything is always fresh and tasty. PVDELI FOREVER!

Having an entire deli that’s vegan is amazing, especially for a town as big as Providence. The servings are huge and are defiantly two meals worth. The owner is a great guy as well, who is really involved in the community. The only downside is they can’t warm up or toast the bread. Check them out!

This is literally my favorite vegan place ever, and I’m not exaggerating. This is the type of place I would run if I was starting a restaurant. You can sense the owner has a mission to make vegan food available and affordable for everyone. So cheap, and ridiculously delicious food. The Zeuben is a must try.

Personally I’m not the right person to be eating classic deli style sandwiches because I don’t care for peppers or onions or blah blah blah. However!!!! I had the chickpea tuna sub and not only is the portion size enough for two meals, but it was phenomenal.

It's an all vegan deli - friendly staff. Supports the community and touring bands. The food is delicious. I had the Firestorm (it's spicy!) Nice fusion of Ethiopian and traditional deli. I definitely recommend this place. Also shares a space with a vegan ice cream shop.

Huge portions at a decent price, friendly staff, and delicious food. Truly unique vegan dining option. I've tried many of their sandwiches and have yet to be disappointed. The soy curls are good but may not be everyone's cup of tea. Can't go wrong with the deli "meats", chickpea "tuna" salad, or tofu "egg" salad. The sides are also very good.

Saw this place on Instagram and knew I had to try it when visiting PVD! Feels like a real deli without the meat. Lots of vegan places are guilty of charging big bucks for small samdwiches but not PVDeli! Delicious Not a Reuben and Potato Salad. If I lived closer my wallet would be in trouble!!!

My friend and I ordered Providence Vegan Deli for lunch on Friday at work through Doordash (my first time trying them) and it did not disappoint! I got the Haas Style Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, it was so delicious! I got the small and it was PACKED with ingredients and the flavor was so good. Can’t wait to try them again and visit the store some time! Highly recommend if you’re looking for great and filling vegan food.

We got the Frank Italian grinder, the Firestorm, and the Zeuben. Everything was incredible! The high quality of the seitan was obvious, and made for a great sandwiches. The firestorm is pretty spicy as you might imagine, so definitely steer clear if you don’t like heat - but it was a pretty tasty and super unique option. We loved it! We also got a mama’s meatball, the buffalo chicken dip, and toona, and they were all pretty good too. We can’t wait to go back and try the other sandwiches!

Almost worth moving back for... - Edit
I'm back in town to visit family and I needed to check out PVDeli. I kickstarted from Tennessee because I know the importance of having places that offer amazing vegan food for good prices. It's great walking into a place and not having to wonder what's in it, or having to special order.

Both sandwiches are outstanding - the size, the combination of flavors, value are remarkable.
The staff was quick and efficient. In and out, at 7PM on a Friday night.
The experience and mission of Providence Vegan Deli makes me very happy that I was a small part of the reason they seem to be off and running and destined for long-term success.
I said, as I was walking out the door, if yall decide to expand, I know a couple from Knoxville that would be interested in helping the expansion.
