Planta queen was just what I expected and more! The food was flavored perfectly. I opted for the bang bang broccoli, Dan Dan noodles and California roll and paired it with their cosmo coco drink. The bang bang broccoli was good! It reminded me of the Buffalo cauliflower a little bit, but definitely yummy! The Dan Dan noodles were rich in so much flavor. You can definitely taste the coconut milk it. If you aren’t a fan of coconut milk I would not suggest ordering it. It also had a nice subtle spice. It wasn’t too overbearing but had a nice kick to it. The California roll was okay. It was not my favorite item and felt like I could have skipped. The drink was also a bit of a miss with me as I really enjoy coconut water, but did not like the combination of the other items. Definitely sounded a lot better than it looked. Overall I enjoyed my experience! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. There’er a few other items i can’t wait to come back and try!

One of the best vegan restaurants we've eaten in. Stylish, upmarket, accomplished menu. Nice atmosphere. Had singpore noodles, poke bowl, bok choi, cauliflower tots, brownie. Would easily order every dish again. Need to book ahead for evening in restaurant but has walk in seats at bar counter.

Another Excellent Outlet of a Wonderful Restaurant Group - Edit
Planta Queen is just another in a chain of upscale vegan restaurants, of which I've been to three (Toronto, South Beach, and Bethesda). The menus are all similar, with vegan sushi, small plates, and other types of dishes, although not all locations have the full menu.
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went to the Planta Queen on a Friday afternoon and shared the Watermelon Nigiri, which had a nice kick; the Bao Slider, which was just delicious (I love mushrooms), Potato Truffle Dumplings, which were in a totally luscious sauce, and the Truffle Fried Rice, which was tasty, but a bit dry. It could have used a splash of soy sauce. We also enjoyed two mocktails, a Matcha Mojito with zero-proof spirit, and a Cosmic Coco. I do think more places should offer and feature mocktails for people who don't drink or are trying to cut back.
The service was also very quick; we didn't have long to wait for any of our dishes, as they came two at a time.
Planta is one of my favorite vegan "chains" so to speak, and I will make sure to go to one whenever I can.

A great menu with a variety of options that are creative and delicious . Definitely try a sushi roll- I recommenced the dragon roll with broccoli tempura. Staff is great too. I recommend getting many small plates - kitchen times the next round of plates perfectly. Will be back next time I am in the city

the menu is very expensive, but for some of the options it is totally worth it and for others, in my opinion, not so much. the truffle oil noodles were absolutely amazing and everything else i got felt like something i could get just as good at a much cheaper establishment. definitely had a nice time though and enjoyed their cocktail selections!

Modern ambiance, friendly service and — most importantly — absolutely delicious food and drinks. We got cauli tots, rainbow roll, potato dumplings and udon noodles… oh, and kept right on going to matcha cheesecake for dessert. Our new NYC favorite.

My soul and belly is full with yumminess. The restaurant has two bars (one upstairs and a smaller one downstairs) and there's plenty of tables and chairs for your dining experience. The menu is plush with various vegan dishes. I appreciate them noting dishes with nuts. #Veganuary

This restaurant is a great place to order a bunch of food to share with the table. Portions are quite small for the price but you are paying for the presentation and quality, not quantity. Overall, Planta Queen is a place I would recommend to try out

One potential improvement - the staff seemed a little mechanical and disinterested. Which is a shame as many vegan restaurants are friendly, welcoming places. They could all smile a little more. It was mid way through covid restrictions and NY hospitality industry isn’t the greatest place to work. But quick and efficient service.
