It's not just food - it's art - Edit
It's not just food - it's art. The prices are quite high, but it's definitely worth it. Incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. The people are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful and centrally located in Manhattan.

PLANTA never fails. One of the most creative vegan menus offered, and all made with actual VEGGIES. I love that you won’t find the imitation meat here (like Impossible or Beyond).

Highly Recommend - Edit
Went for brunch with endless mimosas and sake cocktails. The sake cocktail was quite possibly the best cocktail I have ever had, I may have had quite a few. On top of that, we shared a few dishes and every one was divine. The staff were really friendly and excellent service. So much so that we booked to return the following week as we were still sat in the restaurant.

Delicious! - Edit
We had an incredible experience at Planta, and it very easily became one of my favorite veg restaurants in new york. Though expensive, the monday maki thing is such a great deal, and definitely worth a visit. Our favorite dish was the lettuce wraps, which was super nostalgic as I haven't been able to eat them since going vegetarian as a kid. Great service, atmosphere, and experience overall. Mocktail slapped too. I will definitely be returning!

NYC'S TOP, HIGH-END VEGAN ASIAN CUISINE EXPERIENCE - Edit
In a nutshell: The name Queen is befitting of this amazing Vegan restaurant with flavors and service to match.
Read moreTHE GOOD
When you come late into a restaurant with an ambiance that you do not know, the safest and more reasonable thing to do is to order at the bar. I love the fast service with a smile, and although the music playlist is so random to put it lightly, overall is a light and enjoyable ambiance for a Friday night.
THE BAD
From time to time hard noise came from the bar, perhaps because of callousness or passive aggressiveness, nonetheless it was but an insignificant yet, to be noted moment. Walking towards the bathroom felt like walking through a fashion runway being stared at (I am exaggerating because drama queens make more money!) by people on both sides as it's a narrow path right through the dining room, however, the chic bathroom with Malin+Goetz hand-soap screams LUXURY! There is nothing wrong at all with Planta Queen, on the contrary...
THE BEST
The beverage was so delicious, I chose it non-alcoholic due to my excess of drinking during ADWeek NY, and it was so exquisite that it didn't need alcohol at all. The dumplings were an assortment of different flavors, that one has to appreciate before dipping in soy sauce (which I shouldn't because the sauce that the dumplings are served in is perfect on its own, soy sauce overpowers the flavor of the filling). I ordered them fried, and so should you because the crunchy texture and warm filling are worth it!
The chocolate brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce, which is something that Lindsey custom made for me, and her attention to always refilling the glass of water, not to mention her outstanding bartending skills - Not just with my drink but seeing her mixing for other patrons- is the best of the best. The flavors are rich and interesting even for chocolate which is an unexpected twist of events given that I was hesitant about getting dessert or not. For entrepreneurs who want to eat consciously in a great ambiance or just to have a great time with friends or family, this is the place to be. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, great restaurant for Vegans!
Pros: Ambience & decor, Flavors and textures, Dish Presentation
Cons: The restaurant set up, Loud levels of music, at times

Amazing food but noisy as hell - Edit
What a combination between exquisite food, and unpleasant atmosphere...
Read moreThe very trendy and very full restaurant, was beautiful, and the food was amazing, but we couldn't speak or hear each other due to poor acustica and loud noise.
We had some wonderful sushi, with watermelon based tuna fish, the udon noodles with Alfredo sauce and truffle was so good, everything we ordered hit the spot, at high volume, and the deserts were very good, especially the macha cheese cake.
Pros: Great food, Beautiful place, All vegan
Cons: Acustica was very bad, Had a reservation but waited long for the table
veganqueenofqueensnyc
Not being able to have a conversation (or hear myself think when dining alone) is one of my pet-peeves. I don't care how "trendy," if they don't care about the customers' comfort while dining, that's a huge thumbs-down! 👎

Salty and overpriced set menu dishes - Edit
We had a party of 11 so they didn't
Read moreallow us to order dishes we want, but made us pick 1 out of 2 set menus. We pick menu 2, which is the more expensive one because I love their sushi ( I tried them at planta Toronto and Washington DC before).
The spicy tuna tacos were a little salty and the mapo tofu dish was too salty that we had to return it back to the kitchen, all we could taste was soy sauce 🤮, but we still had to pay full price for the set menu ($80/person plus tip, tax, and 4% event fee?!). No compensate whatsoever. They served mapo tofu and curry without rice eventhough both dishes are very salty. When we asked for rice they charged $5/ bowl 🙄. Sesame shrimp toasts were too oily. The sushi platters were good and were my favorite but there were just too much food for 11 people. We have so many left over and we asked to have the food packed up to go, but THEY FORGOT TO PACK THE SUSHI PLATTERS!! We had a full plate of them and I was so excited to eat them later just to realized they were not in the togo bag. We also waited a long time to get our desserts and they were just okay. We paid so much but only enjoyed 5 out of the 9 dishes. I don't know why we had to have a set menu and couldn't pick our dishes. Overall, I don't think I would recommend this restaurant for group event if they make you do set menu because not all of the dishes are good. Our experience was so bad that I will not return to the restaurant again
Pros: Sushi platters , Udon noodle, Thai green curry
Cons: Overpriced , Salty food, Set menu for group event. You can't pick your own

Great food and atmosphere - Edit
We came for lunch and were pleased to have so many tasty options. Sushi was good but maybe a little bland on the dragon roll. Definitely would try some other rolls next time! Bang bang broccoli was great with great flavor. Udon noodles were hearty and flavorful. Bao slider was tasty so order a couple.

Great sushi and cocktails - Edit
We (six people) ordered around 20 dishes and were so stuffed we could hardly move afterwards. The food was great, particular favourites include the rainbow roll, the cauliflower, sweet potatoes, and the spicy Thai basil margarita cocktail.
