Easily my favorite - Edit
The sushi here is the best sushi I’ve ever had period. It’s costs more than most other vegan restaurants but it is worth every penny.

Pricey but amazing - Edit
Interior beautiful, staff is more than kind, (music a little too loud) but the food is incredibly amazing and yummy!! We ordered 5 different raw meals and each and every one of them was a score. Highly recommend for a cute night out with friends or a partner.

Looks nice for a date but underwhelmed - Edit
This place was recommended by non vegans and ended up not being that great. Maybe we just got some of the worse stuff but I’ve had much better food for much cheaper. Glad it’s vegan and popular though, gotta give them credit for making plant based cool.

Absolutely incredible - Edit
This was some of the best food in NYC, with lovely service, amazing choice and all delicious! It is also an incredible atmosphere so made it feel like a super special place to go. I particularly loved that it wasn’t fake meats but rather vegetables done in incredible ways - one you could happily also take non vegans to! Definitely book (we went at 5:45pm and it was BUZZING) and try everything - it was all amazing!!

Big choice, delicious food - Edit
I was lucky to try a number of dishes during my latest stay in NYC and need to admit that I absolutely loved most of them! My fav were: rainbow sushi, creamy truffle mushroom udon, spinach curry, bang bang broccoli and May limited offer - creamy ramen with asparagus. I enjoyed as well the potatoes with kimchi, but it wasn’t for everyone taste. Beetroot avocado tartare was good but relatively small so I recommend more as an add on. The staff is very friendly and helpful😄
Read morePros: Variety of choice, Great lunch deal , Delicious ramen & udon
Cons: Quite pricy , Better to book a table in advance

Excellent Asian fusion and dessert - Edit
Beautifully designed, aesthetic restaurant in downtown Manhattan serving creative Asian fusion dishes, made vegan. The food was show-stopping and appreciated by my non-vegan companions. The most outstanding dish was the matcha cheesecake - so luscious and creamy, and the subtle matcha-coconut flavor was on point. For the savory dishes, the bang bang broccoli was our favorite. It's best to share the dishes so you get to try a bit of all the exciting flavors.
Read moreHowever, Planta isn't without its downsides. The service was slow and not particularly attentive, even though it was 4 pm (not peak hours). The food and especially the drinks are a bit expensive, but worth it if you want to treat yourself.
Overall though, my friends and I enjoyed our experience here and we would recommend visiting this restaurant.
Pros: Matcha cheesecake, Creative dishes, Centrally located in NYC
Cons: Slow service, Pricey

Delicious - Edit
This was my first time here, and immediately upon entering I was swept away by the ambience (lighting, music, seating arrangement, and open kitchen concept.)
Read moreI was hungry before I was seated, so I Immediately ordered the Bang Bang Broccoli that I've heard so much about, along with the XO Tofu. They did not disappoint. The Tofu was well seasoned (and tasty, with beautiful presentation. The broccoli was both sweet and spicy, and complemented the tofu nicely.
Together, these were more than enough to satisfy my hunger and my palate. However, I might have been inclined to order another item on the menu, or even dessert were it not for the prices, which I thought were a bit high. Nevertheless, I would come back, especially on any of the days they have the "after-5pm" special offers.
Pros: Ambience, Food presentation and preparation
Cons: Slightly overpriced

So Many Good Things - Edit
Bring friends (vegan or not) so you can try lots of dishes. Great stuff to share: cauliflower tots are crispy and tasty, bang bang broccoli is crazy crispy with spicy peanut sauce, dragon sushi roll somehow tastes like tuna, crispy fried dumplings burst with flavor, and XO Tofu with great soy chili sauce. Had the Singapore noodles too with amazing flavor. Really loved this place.

Enjoyed the dinner here especially the Torched and Pressed roll, Baby Bok Choy, Bang Bang Broccoli, and Bao Slider. The Potato Truffle dumplings and 1000 Layer Potato were just okay for us, nothing special. Great spot for large groups and date nights.

Exceptional - Edit
From our awesome server Jake to dessert this was a delicious experience. It’s a small plate kind of eating experience. Jake recommended 4 plates which 2 of us shared. We were stuffed! 3 between 2 people would be sufficient but you just want to try everything. I took a cinnamon bun to go. Mmmmmmm. Thanks Jake all your recommendations were stunning.

Good food but unorganized seating - Edit
I would give this place five stars except that the hostess and waiting situation was unsatisfactory. We reserved a spot for 3 at 6:30pm. My friend got there early but they would not seat her because two of us were not there. When we arrived around 6:30pm, we tried to tell the hostess, but one of the people who works on seating people stated that the hostess was too overwhelmed and would seat us shortly. He never told the hostess that we were there, and we proceeded to wait for 20 minutes until we saw other people who had arrived after us seated. Then when we complained and made a fuss about it, we were finally seated. They also had no real waiting area for people, and the place is very popular. Everything else was great. Our server was great. We ordered four dishes including rainbow sushi, bang bang broccoli, cauliflower tots, and the truffle fried rice. The dishes were so good that even my friend who is a carnivore loved it (and she has had less than favorable experiences at other vegan places with me). The food is not very healthy necessarily (a little oily) but it is really good.
Read morePros: Your carnivore friends will love it, They are very creative with vegetables

I don’t think they even have a hostess anymore; I’ve come a couple times by myself and it’s a little off putting to seat yourself by the bar and not get good service.

A must visit in New York - Edit
PLANTA Queen is a must visit for anyone in New York. The place was so busy and had a wonderful atmosphere despite it being a little cramped. The food and cocktails were absolutely phenomenal. Between two of us we ordered AHI WATERMELON NIGIRI, DRAGON ROLL (tempura broccoli, spinach, avocado, spicy unagi sauce), 2 x BAO SLIDER (chick'n fried mushrooms, hoisin, pickled cucumber), BANG BANG BROCCOLI (sweet chili, peanut sauce) and UDON NOODLES (truffle mushroom cream, shaved black truffle). Highlights for me were the bao and the dragon rolls but I wouldn't hesitate to order any of the other dishes again.
Read moreWe also opted for cocktails LYCH PLEASE (hibiscus-infused gin, lychee liqueur, pineapple) and HERB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (thai chili-infused tequila, dry curacao, lime, pineapple, herb syrup) these were very good.
I'm not really a dessert person but since it was a special occasion we ordered the MATCHA CHEESECAKE to share. It was the perfect way to end the meal.
Pros: Fully Plant Based, Tapas style small plates
Cons: Pricey, Tables are a little close together

Even my picky, dairy-loving partner loves this place and non-veg colleagues have been blown away by the sushi. Downstairs “speakeasy” bar cute, but a little dark so recommend upstairs. A lively vibe, but their delivery is beautifully done too.
