Be aware: CLOSED - Edit
Despite no info about the on the website, this place is currently closed! We were able to make a reservation and even got an email asking us to re-confirm the day before the reservation, despite it being closed!! No answer to my email or instagram message about this either. Severe lack of communication and warning to potential customers.

Big portions, tasty and great location - Edit
Near the cathedral, it's a lovely place to have a nice brunch/lunch. We ordered the salmon toast, the bacon toast and fries. We were so full that we had to order takeaway and couldn't try dessert.

We had the salmon toast and pesto panini for lunch. They were very good, we thought the food could use more spices but that's our personal taste. The portions we're filling enough and the service was quick and friendly! Good recommendation for people who want to try some new vegan dishes!

Read moreSo when I saw it was completely vegan, and after a meticulous examination the menu, the only option was to go there by myself.
So I got myself a nice numeric latte, which was perfectly spiced.
Food wise, we ordered the ‘salmon’ toast, the breakfast bowl and the healthy starter.
The toast was nice and tasty though but not really salmony look not taste. It was just softened carrot, so a bit disappointing.
The breakfast bowl was to my surprise, not really well filled and the combination of the ingredients, didn’t really pair together. Also it was a bit bland and I am not sure if I got the ‘coconut bacon’ as mentioned on the menu.
The healthy start was on the opposite very tasty. Nice combination between sweet and savory. The signature products for us were the spiced hummus, as well as the hazelnut pasta.
Little minus was that we had to pay for the additional bread. I found that a bit ridiculous..
However, I would go back to try out other items from their menu!

I’ve visited Plant B restaurant in Antwerp for the second time now, and it's been an interesting experience. The first time was for lunch at their old venue, and my friend and I absolutely loved the Scrambled Tofu Sandwich we had. The flavors were on point.

When I visited Antwerpen I have been here two times. I had breakfast, sharing the acai bowl and fruit breakfast with someone else. The next day we went there for lunch and had the poke bowl, Italian panini, and chocolate cake. It was all delicious. The location was also nice, in the middle of the city centre

I was used to the previous location and here near the Cathedral looked completely over it.
Read moreAfter some time I realized it, and they are now in a much larger location having way more seats inside (everything is there to be a top spot).
It's a nice place, I however lost a bit the contact with the food, since I could not see any food anymore (the previous location you have pictures on the menu or even a desk that showed the cakes available) and I just order based on the text on the menu.
The menu looked like more reduced for desserts, I took the "taart van de dag" and the vegan cake I received was not all what I like or was looking for unfortunately.
Will have to try it out again for breakfast, lunch or diner since didn't yet in this new location.

Plant B is a "Top rated" vegan restaurant on HappyCow. With my visit to "plant B" I learned that these ratings can't always be trusted.
Read moreI ate as main course a "salade des gens heureux" (17€), which made me feel very sad. The portion size was that of a starter salad. The half of the salad was vegan chicken imitation which was too salty and very chewy. The rest were some greens with some fruit toppings from which the mango was not ripe. In its form and taste absolutely not convincing for a "Top rated" vegan restaurant. In my experience it was rather very well priced vegan fast food.
As a dessert we took the american pancakes with fresh seasonal fruit and granola (14€) . The pancakes where much too dry and barely warm. The fruit quantity was very low. From the quality It seemed to me that these pancakes where not home made, but some shelf product warmed in a microwave oven. Again I experienced this as very well priced fast food.
Taking into account the good ratings this restaurant received in the past it seems that this restaurant really loosed it stars for whatever reason.

We can assure you however that most of our products, especially our pancakes, are homemade. We also work with a lot of organic and fresh products and that in combination with our very central location is why we charge these prices, which are market conform.
Not quite sure what you mean when you say we lost any stars. Overall, our ratings range from 4,4 to 4,7 on multiple sites, which is very high. These have been written by hundreds of visitors, so overall we feel this gives a pretty accurate assessment of our business.

Friendly and kind staff, I recommend the coconut bacon and no egg breakfast. The size of the portions is good, tastes amazing and the prices are absolutely okay.
