A++++++ - Edit
Probably, objectively, the best vegan restaurant in New England, if not the Northeast, if not the country. Smokes high end vegan spots I’ve been to in NYC and Los Angeles. Geniuses. That’s all! Can’t wait to come back. #Veganuary

Nice Vegan Place - Edit
We’re from Boston and find ourselves in Providence every now and then. After drying our tears and trying to recover from the fact that Plant City closed, we made reservations at Pianta. No real complaints- the food is really good, the atmosphere is quaint, and the location is great. It didn’t blow us away, but maybe we are just still hurting from the closure of our favorite spot.

Brunch! - Edit
We went to their New Year’s brunch, and had all you can eat pancakes, chicken and waffles, and a steak/cheese roll thing. All of it was amazing and quite decadent. Great for a hangover! I think Pianta is my fav vegan place in Providence now😄

Best dessert I’ve ever had - Edit
I’m giving it five stars just for the cannoli dessert. I dream about it all the time. The thanksgiving egg rolls are also a 10/10.
Read moreI almost dropped a star because I thought the Mac and Cheese was just average, but that might just be me based off the other reviews here. The chicken, potato, cornbread dish was quite large and tasty.

This place is AMAZING! Hands down some of the best vegan food I've ever tried. Nothing too complicated, regular dishes executed perfectly where every flavor combines blissfully to bring out the best of every ingredient. You definitely don't want to miss the cannoli dip!

Fantastic food! - Edit
We had a terrific meal at PiAnta. Everything on the menu sounds great, but I chose the caprese salad with a side of Mac and cheese, and my husband had the penne allá vodka. We also had the citrus tomatoes & garlic bread as an appetizer. The Mac and cheese was, by far, the best vegan one I’ve had in the 5 years I’ve been vegan. The appetizer was delicious, the penne was creamy and wonderful, and the caprese salad was very good as well (although a bit heavy on the ricotta). The fudge brownie for dessert was rich and decadent.

Tons of flavor, perfectly orchestrated to go together - Edit
We stumbled across this place tonight without realizing it was entirely Vegan. We're not Vegan ourselves, but our daughter is, so we eat a lot of Vegan cuisine. I ordered a zucchini "steak" dish that sounded unique, and my hubby got the country "chicken." Both were extraordinary - the best meal either of us has had since we moved to RI (and we've had some great meals).
Read moreThe food was honestly bursting with flavor, and the quantity was just right. The service was perfect, too, attentive without being intrusive. We debated getting dessert, since the dinner flavor left such a satisfying taste behind, but we couldn't resist the gluten-free chocolate brownie. It came with raspberries on top and a trickle of raspberry sauce, in a combination that was again perfect - crispy edges, a gooey center, sweet and rich but not too much so, with the raspberry flavor offsetting the chocolate in a way I've never tasted in my entire not-particularly-young life. It was so, so good, and to my surprise, it blended well with the dinner flavors. I've been sitting here all evening enjoying the last remnants of the taste, reluctant to go brush my teeth, and I thought I should take a moment to leave a review on the various sites. We will absolutely be return customers, and we can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Everything was wonderful from the marinated tomatoes and garlic bread appetizer, we really enjoyed the buffalo chicken salad, and the cannoli dip was a great way to end the night. The staff is nice and friendly. And I’m happy to recommend this place.

Not a fan - Edit
I used to love this place and order all the time when they were takeout only. We live pretty far away and would get take out and the order was always missing things but the food was good so we dealt with it. I’ve waited a year to order again because they messed up a huge order so badly I was done- I really wanted the chicken dinner tonight and we placed a large order and of course the chicken dinner and Brussels were missing and no one answers the phone!!! Not only that but the rest of the food was terrible, the corn bread tasted like baking soda, the Mac n cheese was just oily and the meatballs were so salty and tasted like beyond that they were inedible… totally disappointed

Feel like I'm going against the grain here, but I was not impressed. The food was food, sure, and it was vegan, so that's nice. But aside from the elote everything we tried was just... fine.

Absolute Must - Edit
As somebody born and raised in Texas, I had to evaluate their country fried steak and I must say it was phenomenal. It was very crispy, the mashed potatoes were delicious and buttery, and the cornbread was perfect. I loved the touch of fruit spread added into the butter. My girlfriend had the vodka penne which she very much enjoyed. We shared a dessert, which was also amazing. Pricey, but very much worthwhile. Parking could easily be a challenge, but lucked out on a side street.

Our second meal here. Excellent again! - Edit
I had the Shawarma Plate, which was excellent. I liked everything on the plate - the tomato and cuke salad, the "chicken," the hummus, the garlic sauce, and the pita. The pita, which is often a plain-Jane stock item, was noticeably soft, fresh, & delicious. My wife had the Peach & Heirloom Tomato Salad and enjoyed every bite. We each had a glass of chardonnay. I don't remember what vineyard it was from, but it was better than most I've had.

BEST DINNER EVER (NYE) - Edit
I’ve been to brunch here several times (which deserves its own separate post bc just wow) but this was my first dinner here. We split the steak and cheese egg rolls. I got the filet mignon with cauliflower mash and roasted potatoes. Let me tell you it was WORTH the $36. I couldn’t believe how good it was. Then for dessert they had an Oreo fudge brownie special. My nonvegan friend and I agreed it was the best brownie either of us had ever had. I wish it was a permanent item! If you haven’t had dinner here yet, do yourself a favor and go! They are 100% vegan and everyone there is extremely friendly and accommodating. 15/10 #Veganuary
