Exceptionally good pasta - Edit
The food at this place is exceptional. The pasta was great, it had all the warming glowing satisfaction of a great pasta dish without trying too hard to be a replica of a meat dish. The umami stroganoff is diving. The tiramisu dessert is exquisite. I will definitely be returning to sample more of the dishes. Hats off to whoever designed these dishes.

Delicious pasta and excellent service - Edit
I had the pumpkin tortellinis and the tiramisu.
Read moreBoth were good; but I really enjoyed the pasta.
Portions were also fair.
Everything is homemade, and the staff makes you feel welcome.
So if you are planning to be in the area during lunch/dinner time, don't miss it!
The only point to improve for me, it's that they don't serve hot drinks, so no coffee or tea for having after your food.
Pros: yummy, excellent service, good value

My boyfriend and I came here on New Year’s Eve and we had such a good experience. The waiter and chef (co-owners) were so nice & it was really fun. It was the best vegan pasta I’ve had and the mini doughnuts were also delish

Wowee. Took one bite of my starter, the pepper gnocchi and just wow! I absolutely will be recommending this to my vegan and non-vegan friends. I also had the Caspian sea pasta and doughnut balls and it was genuinely incredible. I will definitely be returning

Great for pasta lovers! - Edit
If you’re anything like me and are a pasta lover, I would recommend putting Pastan at the top of your list. Really lovely atmosphere, fresh delicious pasta and good service (albeit a little slow as only one waiter, so make sure you allow time). My fiancé and I had the Mushroom Stroganoff (Chef’s Special) and Dolce Vita (carbonara). Both were amazing! My only comment is I would have liked them to be hotter, but we did share dishes so used side plates that weren’t warmed which probably impacted this more. The star of the show was the dessert - we had the 9 Specula’s (Biscoff) mini doughnut balls, which were hot and filled with Biscoff.

Pasta to die for. - Edit
We first tried pastan in a small market stall in camden and were so happy to see they had a proper restrant so we're excited to try and honestly if you love pasta this is the place for you. Beautiful meals, cute setting and friendly staff make for a perfect experience. Personally I think the prices are great for what you get considering you are in London.

Tasty but expensive - Edit
Pastan have a great selection of pastas and it was hard for us to narrow down to just 2 for me and my fiancée! We went for the Mushroom Stroganoff (Chef’s Special) and Dolce Vita (carbonara). They were both really tasty and decent portions (my only criticism is they could’ve been a bit hotter). The Stroganoff edged it for me as I thought the mushrooms were really delicious, but I was also impressed with the carbonara sauce. For dessert we ordered the 9 Speculoos (Biscoff) mini doughnut balls. They were served hot, filled with Biscoff, and were really rich and tasty!
Read moreOverall I really enjoyed my experience at Pastan – the food was good, it had a nice ambience and the waiter was really friendly and helpful. It was also really cool to see it so busy and I’d definitely recommend booking as it has limited opening hours and it’s very popular (a pair of guys actually came in while we there and were told they’d have to wait an hour for a table!).
However, it is pricey for what it is (our bill came to almost £60 for 2 mains, a dessert & a glass of wine) and I didn’t feel the food was good enough to warrant that price. They also only had one waiter serving the whole restaurant (and pouring the drinks!) so the service was a bit slow. But that’s not to take away from the wonderful service and enthusiasm he provided, he was really great!
I think it’s still worth a visit though as it is a good experience!
Pros: Tasty, Nice ambience, Lovely waiter
Cons: Expensive, Only 1 waiter so slower service

Always delicious - Edit
I have been to Pastan 3 times, each time bringing someone new with me because that's how much I've liked it. The chef, the servers, they are all friendly and welcoming, and the space has an open kitchen which also makes it pretty fun!
Read moreI've sampled most of their menu by now and I'll say their cacio e pepe has a very thin sauce, but other than that everything has been brilliant, especially their specials - I tried the mushroom stroganoff and the asparagus and lemon orzo, so if they have specials on that day you're in for a treat.
My favourites are the carbonara and the tomato and basil one. For dessert, both the tiramisu and the doughnuts are super tasty! The tiramisu comes with ice cream which is a bit weird, but I like ice cream and it's a good one so I will take it! I'd prefer a larger portion of the tiramisu instead but not gonna complain about this one. The doughnuts always come out hot with an oozing biscoff inside. The pasta is consistently cooked to perfection.
Pros: Pasta is consistently cooked to perfection, Desserts are super tasty, The specials
Cons: No wine by the glass listed in the menu, Tiramisu could be larger instead of with ice cream, Sometimes loud noises from the kitchen

Sneaky carbon offset charge - Edit
It's ridiculous that a fixed carbon offset charge is added to the bill. It's not announced. It's not expected. It doesn't correlate in any way with caused emissions. No word on when these charges are paid out.

Still dreaming about their gnocchi - Edit
Conveniently close to my office I’ve been happily working my way through their handmade pasta menu and throughly enjoying myself.
Read moreI’ve really enjoyed they carbonara and mac and cheese but it’s their gnocchi that really impressed me. I’ve only had the loaded version, however I would suggest asking for less sauce as it was too much for me but the gnocchi themselves are so good.

Overrated - Edit
So. Much. Oil. I got the caprese salad (somewhat overpriced) with a side of bread. The homemade mozzarella was actually quite good, but everything was drenched in way too much olive oil, and not the flavorful high-quality kind. Even the bread was drenched in oil, which I was not expecting - and served with even more oil for dipping. Who wants this much oil?
Read moreFor the main, I got the pumpkin tortellini with sage butter. Again, way too oily. The filling was good, but the pasta was undercooked (not al dente, just hard/chewy in some places).
I was planning on getting the biscoff donuts for dessert, but decided to pass because I couldn't stand the thought of more oil.
The service was good at first but then became kind of unattentive as the place filled up. I had to wait a long time between dishes.
Pros: The homemade mozzarella is really good , Cute decor
Cons: Too oily!, Slightly overpriced , Slow service

Amazing pasta in London - a must try! - Edit
YUM! Had such a delicious meal here at Pastan today. We absolutely loved all the food we had there. The fried gnocchi for starters was delicious - we had it with the cacio e pepe sauce which was again amazing!! We thought it would be greasy as it’s fried, but it really wasn’t. I recommend getting a side of this sauce for the rest of your meal as it’s soooo yum!!
Read moreThen we got the pumpkin and sage tortellini, and the green pea and mint ravioli. Both were divine and delicious. Such unique but hearty flavours - some of the best pasta!! The green ravioli was really good with the vegan cashew Parmesan sprinkled on top
Finally, we got the biscoff donuts for dessert - we asked for 2 as we didn’t want 6, but they were SO delicious we ordered another 2 😂 they are unreal - and a must have!!!
The vibe and place is so lovely, non pretentious and generally quite chill. Great for a lunch or dinner spot. Service was excellent, and the owner was so lovely!
