Exceptionally good pasta - Edit
The food at this place is exceptional. The pasta was great, it had all the warming glowing satisfaction of a great pasta dish without trying too hard to be a replica of a meat dish. The umami stroganoff is diving. The tiramisu dessert is exquisite. I will definitely be returning to sample more of the dishes. Hats off to whoever designed these dishes.

Delicious!! - Edit
We had high expectations after reading the reviewed on here and we were not disappointed .. The restaurant is small and cute, the staff friendly and busy and the food lush! We shared a starter of large ceaser salad, it was lovely but too big for the propose of a starter for us so next time would get the small one to share. The mains of cabonara and umami pasta were both divine!!! Very large portions too so we ended up bringing some home for today = win! We shared a small portion of the biscoff donuts, very nice too. All round great evening and would def go back. Not a cheap night mind. I did note they do a £10 lunch deal which would be work out good value if had it as a take away.

Amazing Italy restaurant - Edit
It’s an amazing family owned Italy restaurant. Everything is localy and also pasta is home made. Atmosphere is home, the restaurant is so cute and staff are sooo nice and helpful. The meal is tasty! Even of we arrive late in the evening they offered us ice cream 🍨. Love this place!! If we would be in London next time we definitely go there.

Best restaurant and exerpeince - Edit
We called about an hour before closing time and asked if we could still come in and sit without a reservation. The staff was very friendly both over the phone and in person. We got vegan mozzarella with tomatoes which is the first time we’ve tried it and it was delicious and had the right texture. I got mushroom pasta which was also very delicious and unlike anything i’ve had before. The staff was very accommodating to my mom that just wanted a plain salad. The restaurant was cozy and had the right atmosphere for a small family owned business.

Deliscious Pasta - Edit
Had the Carbonara and a umami mushroom pasta, both deliscious. Small place, reservation recommended, multiple people didn't get a table after 18:00.

Jetlag Joy - Edit
We visited Pastan back in March. We were both feeling jetlagged after a flight from Australia and a bowl of pasta was exactly what we were craving. It was a cold rainy day, but as soon as we stepped foot into Pastan we felt warm and comfortable. The staff were great, our server was particularly friendly. I ordered the Green Velvet and requested less sauce which they kindly served on the side, the pasta parcels were cooked to perfection. We shared the Caesar Salad, we enjoyed the different meat substitutes on it.

Amazing Pasta 🤩 - Edit
My partner and I went to Pastan to celebrate a special occasion and it did NOT disappoint. We ordered one starter and 2 main dishes to share.
Read moreStarter: Shiitake Cesar Salad
Mains: Dolce Vita & Umami Stroganoff
The Cesar salad was very big considering we ordered a smaller one, so the portion was great ! The meals are very filling so I recommend just 2 mains or a small starter to share. The carbonara (Dolce Vita) was so creamy and delicious, and the Umami Stroganoff was so rich and also very creamy. It is a little pricey but it’s so worth it.
Pros: Amazing Food, Friendly Staff , Lovely and moody environment
Cons: A bit pricey, Squishy space

The best pasta in london - Edit
Pastan is my favourite London restaurant - the food is so inventive and delicious and the people who run it some of the loveliest in the world! Truly couldn’t recommend it more!! The portions are also generous and so I always leave full and satisfied! As well as the incredible pasta (my favs are the umami stroganoff and the smooth operator) you must get a shitake Caesar salad to start and the biscoff doughnuts for dessert!

Great pasta restaurant - Edit
Lovely little restaurant specialised in fully vegan pasta dishes. Visited only once, alone, therefore I cannot speak about other dishes (which I'm now very curious to try), but the paccheri with porcini and shiitake sauce ("Umami stroganoff") was glorious. I also enjoyed the affogato ice cream.

Nice carbonara - Edit
Popped in for a quick lunch on a Friday and was spoilt for choice with the types of pasta and sauces. Ended up trying the carbonara as this is something I have struggled to make myself at home as a vegan. If you’re a purist, it’s worth noting that this is a veganised version of a creamy carbonara. The sauce was lovely, the ‘lardons’ realistic.
Read moreIt’s not the cheapest of options but neither is it the most expensive, and I’m happy to pay a bit extra to eat at a totally vegan restaurant, especially an independent business.
Pros: Totally vegan, Lots of choice, Friendly service

expect vegan pasta - Edit
It's a place specialised in vg pasta so don't expect too much.
Read moreIt has an decent range of options, but most of them uses processed vg meat substitute. The pasta is made fresh I think which is good, but the final product is just how you would cook your pasta but with the meat substitute and plant based cheese tbh. I can taste which product was used which is understandable but still a small let down for an eating-out experience. Portions were somewhat small, need to order 3 pastas for 2 people, so it's not cheap with service altogether. I truly believe vegan pasta has more potential than what this place offers..

Pros: good range of options, handmade fresh pasta

Great salad amazing donut dessert - Edit
I ordered the ceaser salad on a whim as a starter for my wife and I to share. It was huge and delicious, far more than would be reasonable to expect for a humble ceaser salad. I ordered the tiramisu which was fine but rather more layers of ladyfingers than I like in my tiramisu. My wife’s donuts on the other hand were to die for. I thought it a rather odd choice for a dessert item in a restaurant but they were the most moreish and comforting dessert I’ve had in a very long time. Would come back for those alone!

Delicious vegan pasta - Edit
We have been eyeing up Pastan for quite some time but our trips to London never lined up with their opening hours so when we finally aligned, we had to book.
Read moreThe restaurant is beautiful and immaculately clean. We had an early sitting as we had a trip to the theatre booked.
We ordered deep fried gnocchi with pomodoro sauce, a dolce vita with added shiitake mushrooms and a green velvet.
We asked for all the food to come at the same time which wasn’t a problem.
The food was prepared and served promptly and everything was delicious. The pomodoro on the gnocchi was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. The green velvet was light, refreshing but still filling.
We did not leave disappointed and we are keen to come back!

Delicious Homemade Pasta - Edit
We absolutely loved every aspect of our dinner at Pastan! The service was very friendly, the chef brought out the appetizers and mains himself which was a nice touch. We were blown away by the loaded gnocchi appetizer with the pepper sauce, the absolute highlight of our meal! The chocolate orange espresso martini was the perfect combination of flavors too. Our mains were the ravioli and the Catalonia, both were cooked perfectly al dente and the sauces were delicious. We had the tiramisu for dessert, tasted more like a cheesecake-style tiramisu so it was quite dense and rich. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and we left feeling very full! We will certainly be back to Pastan!

Great small venue. Gorgeous fresh vegan food.

We didn't even stay for dessert or more drinks as they were a nightmare. Such a shame and know nothing you can do as a venue about it. Would have asked to move if we weren't already eating.
Pros: Gorgeous fresh tasting food, Great exclusive vegan venue, Would recommend
Cons: Unfortunate who was then seated nest to us

it was ok - Edit
While the staff were very friendly and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, I was a little disappointed with the food. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara, but was disappointed to find that the noodles were too thick and felt more like udon noodles than spaghetti. The flavor of the dish was also a little bland.
Read moreDespite these issues, the food was still enjoyable and I appreciated that it was all vegan. However, I do wish that the dish had been better executed. Overall, the restaurant has a lot of potential and I would recommend it for the vegan options and friendly staff, but I would suggest trying something other than the spaghetti carbonara.
