Wonderful vegan gluten free patisserie! - Edit
Really friendly staff, and high quality vegan patisserie. If I lived near here I would be obese! Lime Vanilla cheesecake is a winner.

Wonderful vegan deliciousness - Edit
This place is amazing! The cakes are out of this world, they need to be tried to be believed! I had a Tresor which was a many layered cake of joy (no really!), i shared it with my friend who is a vegan chef and she was blown away too. Also had a Indiana which is a little chocolate pyramid and was sooo good! Plus is had a 'cheese' and tomato crepe, so simple sounding, yet the flavours were just prefect, totally delicious. The people who work there are friendly, the food is a good price, gluten free, my favourite food place i went to in Berlin.

unbelievable desserts - Edit
We attempted to eat brunch here on Saturday around 1 but the small cafe was packed. So we opted to get a few desserts to go. Let me say that these are by no means healthy desserts. But oh were they worth the calorie splurge. I can't even begin to describe these rich, complex and carefully created desserts. Just know that they were amazing!

good brunch - Edit
I tried the Saturday brunch for 11,90€
Read moreThe food was good, with a broad variety of sweet mini muffins, chocolate pudding, crumbled pears, strawberry smoothies and then also mushroom risotto, pumpkin pasta, potato rösti, salad and vegetables with tofu. I loved the fact that everything was vegan AND gluten-free, but I would have also appreciated trying a quiche (maybe mini quiches or small pieces of a big one would be an idea?)
But there is something I id not like.
It is "normal" that fancy drinks like Chai Latte etc are not included, but I think having a cup of coffee included or at least (!) free tab water, that should be standard, seriously.
Besides that a nice place (quite pink and hipster, but hey, the food was good!)
Pros: tasty food, great variety, OK-priced brunch buffet
Cons: not even tab water included

Great brunch, tasty deserts - Edit
The first time I ran into Ohlala was because of the person accompanying me who needs to eat gluten-free. I also tried one of the gluten-free quiches and it was delicious. Next time we tried the brunch, had deserts and coffee - all superb! Definitely will go there again.

Excellent vegan cakes and treats - Edit
I found Oh La La by accident while I was in Berlin for a few days, and I'm so happy I stumbled upon it. I almost couldn't believe everything was vegan because there was such a wealth of choice. Although the crepes were very tempting, we just had two desserts: the pyramid that tastes like a Snickers bar (delicious), and the chocolate praline cake with the gooey centre (even better). The price was in line with the presentation and fanciness of the food. It was a nice little cafe too, very pretty.

My fav place in Berlin - Edit
I went to Ohlala for the first time about 2 years ago. It's always been and always will be my favorite vegan place in Berlin, First, because of the food: I do love french food, and they do it great. They've got Quiches (mushroom/Mustard, broccoli and almonds, ratatouille and grains, potatoes...), crêpes: I just can't describe them all, but trust me, you'll be amazed. From homemade salted caramel with roasted almonds, to homemade white chocolate and bananas.. Every dish has a funny frenchy-queer name, which I find adorable and brings so much fund into your food!
Read moreAlso they have AMAZING Flammkuchen... I mean: try the one with grilled vegs and homemade Pesto and tell me about it! If you're more the traditionnal type, have some of the crème fraiche/Speck (Smoked tofu in Marinade) or with homemade vegan bolognese.
You can't beat that.
Second reason: TONS of gluten free options. I'm gluten intolerant and I must say that's the best place to eat gluten-free. They're not celiac certified but I've heard of many celiacs who went there and had no problems. You can have pretty everything in GF option: The Quiche, with an amazing homemade buckwheat dough, almost all the cakes are gluten free, even the individual ones.
Oh yeah, I have to talk about those: They do have individual treats like a vegan gluten free "Snickers" that looks like a pyramid, a Tresor (or chocolate bomb I would say) which is a praline with crunchy peanuts and a melting caramel center with chocolate.. Well it's crazy. They also have this choco Pervers, which is a soft, melty round chocolate cake served with vegan chantilly and some others....
And the third reason: The brunch. Every saturday AND Sunday from 11 to 15, all-you-can-eat homemade french buffet, 100% GLUTEN FREE!!. I mean, woow... I go there at least every two weeks, and the food is always different here!
About the drinks: There are many different organic drinks here, like lots of Lemonades, Mate, also beer (local and organic)and coffees, teas in small cute pots.
I also would like to add they have many different plant-based milks such as almond, hazelnut, oats, soy, vanilla soy...
Overall the best place I have found so far for a cosy, vegan, tasty round-up in Berlin :)
Also, the staff is really nice, helpful, the speak mostly English and German, but also Italian and french!
I wish they were places like that all over the world so I could be sure of the quality of the food I'm eating! You can trust french people when it comes to food! ;)
Pros: lots of glutenfree options, brunch is amazing, you can't beat their pastries
Cons: I can't go there everyday, very busy on brunch (no reservation), not so easily accessible

Best desserts I've ever tasted - vegan or not! - Edit
I found this place upon hanging out with a friend from Berlin on my trip there.
Read moreI kid you not - these are the best deserts I've ever tasted.
I include those I ate before I was vegan.
This was just so good I'm drooling just thinking about it!
Also - great price for what you get.
I also ordered quiche and salad - they were OK. Nothing special. Probably won't order them again if I ever get the chance of coming again but this place is COMPLETELY worth the trip.
Also staff was very friendly and explained everything in English.
Very nice and friendly vibe and the toilets say "toilets for all genders". You just can't beat that!
Really - amazing beyond words. I don't say that much.
Can't wait to come to Berlin again just to eat their desserts.
Pros: AMAZING desserts., Good price., Friendly staff and vibe.
Cons: Quiche not amazing., It's in Berlin and not next to my house

There is more to veg food than quiche and soup - Edit
The food in this place is acceptable, but pretty predictable. Every single inexpensive veg place in Berlin prepares quiches, soups, sandwiches, and cakes. The thing is there is so much more about vegan food that I found it depressing. Food ok, nothing to go back for, with the exception of the chocolate round cake: that was gorgeous. Place itself is nice, cosy, service is very slow though.
Read morePros: Nice cakes
Cons: No salads, No grains with vegetables

Dear Manuela,
Read moreI would like to point out, that if you had read the menu correctly, there are lots of other options than just quiche, salad and soups (yes there are salads and grains that’s right ;))
There also are crepes (made by French people, with a French vegan recipe) Flammkuchen, cakes, and individual treats available (I suggest you try these because they are truly amazing and homemade). I also would like to say that since I have been living in Berlin, I have seen many places offering quiches BECAUSE Ohlala, more than 3 years ago now, have introduced quiche in Berlin (Nb: it's a French specialty and Ohlala is a French shop... Do you see any connection here?)
About the vegan food: You might be depressed by vegan food, but it is a shame to say that when you... enter a vegan shop. That you did not like the food is your opinion, but that you cannot read a menu and/or available options correctly is either stupidity or hypocrisy.
If the service is too slow for you, may I suggest that you go to a fast food place? There are a lot in Berlin and they offer sandwiches, as you said! (Ohlala does not, because they chose to COOK food).
Also, I would like to add that Ohlala has MANY gluten-free options, which is absolutely great for people like me, who are gluten intolerant.
All in all, I think I can say Ohlala remains my favorite Vegan place in Berlin BECAUSE it offers so many options other shops have not. Such a shame you did not like it but hey, maybe you should give it another try!
Have a lovely Day! xx

Great vegan crepes! - Edit
The inside of the cafe is painted in a pastel pink colour and it was this that we noticed first :-) There is definitely a French feel to the place which is supported by French-themed paintings on the wall (the owner is also French, I believe). The menu was written in German only, but it was fairly straight forward to decipher and the owner was happy to help with any queries. While the owner was busy (she was cooking/serving alone), she made time to be polite and exchanged light conversation. We chose two different types of crepe: caramel & nuts and white chocolate. The crepes were delicious and nicely presented with whipped cream and a pink napkin. My partner was in heaven with the white chocolate version that he chose. I ordered a chocolate and peanut butter pyramid-shaped dessert following the crepe which we ended up sharing. This tasted like a Snickers bar and was topped with a gold dusting. Very pretty (see photo section) and sweet! Overall, a nice experience. Fair prices for the crepes (3-4 euros each) and a great selection of cakes. OhLaLa cakes are stocked by at least two other vegan cafes in Berlin (Chaostheorie, Freckles) so if you don't make it to OhLaLa you can still sample their delights elsewhere. Recommended as a nice stop for breakfast or lunch. Would also make a nice place for a date.

Absolutely delicious - must go - Edit
I stayed in the Almodovar Hotel recently and Ohlala was just round the corner. We had a brunch with all sorts of interesting savoury and sweet dishes, and loved it so much we went back the next day for a quiche and a cake. I strongly recommend stopping by Ohlala if you're in the area.

Stop Reading This and go to Ohlala - Edit
I went here recently whilst on holiday in Berlin. I'm not one to wax on lyrically so I'll keep this short. Go to Oh La La. They serve top end French pastries / cakes that are entirely vegan. I had a chocolate mousse covering a thick chocolate disc that housed a rich caramel sauce center. This was so good I 'literally' had to have another treat. I had a banana and walnut slice of cake. This needs to be a 'must do' if you're a vegan in Berlin.

A little taste of paradise - Edit
Truly a small (depending on how many different sweets you take) taste of paradise. We were speechless and just smiled to each other when we tried two of the cakes for the first time.
Read moreThe place looks lovely in adorable way. Many tables inside and few outside. The cakes and pastries fit in perfectly. A slice of cake was 3-3,5e but two slices were enough to fill the sweet tooth for the two of us.
For gluten-free eaters this place is a must! Even the brunch is totally gluten-free, bio and vegan.
We visited the Saturday brunch and were really happy that we did. Large variety of different dishes and small sweets made from fresh ingredients. The only thing was that there was not even mini pieces of cakes and pastries which were in the glass-vitrine. The dessert section in brunch was tasty, but not as good as the glass-vitrine delicacies.
The staff were really friendly and helpful and we felt welcomed when we came here for the first time.
Pros: Gluten-free, bio, vegan, Unspeakably delicious, Helpful and friendly staff
Cons: A bit pricey, Dessert section in brunch

amazing brunch - Edit
We went to have brunch there before leaving Berlin and I'm so happy we did it!
Read moreThe place is very cozy and carefully decorated. There are tables outside as well, what was great on the hot day it was when we were there.
The brunch buffet was very good with different options. There were three warm options, salads, spreads, bread, and some different options like a cold peas-mint-coconut-milk-soup. There were also jams, fruits, cup cakes and some more sweet option. Everything possible for a perfect brunch!
I couldn't have missed the opportunity to try one of their tartes, so I took one broccoli-almond-tarte to eat later and OMG! It was so delicious!
I'm totally coming back next time I'm in Berlin!

Great brunches! - Edit
I have come here many times, and I especially recommend the brunches on Saturdays and Sundays. You can try many different savory and sweet options. All of them very tasty, vegan and gluten free, what else?!
Read moreOut of the brunch time, they offer very good quiches, cakes and a big variety of coffees.
It might be a bit pricey (12€ brunch + coffee between 1,5 and 2,80) but taking into account the quality of the food, the ingredients themselves (bio, vegan and gluten free) and that you can spend as long as you want during the brunch, it is highly recommendable.
Pros: Very good food, Everything vegan, Gluten free brunch
Cons: They're a bit slow with the coffees

Healthy Brunch - Edit
Enjoyed Sunday brunch at this cafe for 11 euros. Selection of savory and sweet options: mini crepes, salad, stuffed mushrooms, sauted potatoes, tacos, bread/jam, mini desserts. The menu is posted in advance on their Facebook page. Also had a great coffee and chocolate cake. Friendly service, not too crowded and plenty of seating. Located 1/4 mile from trainstop in nontourist area. Would definitely visit again when we come back to Berlin.

WOW, after a long search we eventually found Ohlala - and I must say, this was the best place we visited in Berlin - for afternoon teas
Read moreWe had quiche, crepes and cakes - and they were all delicious!!!
Especially the "Tresor"! This is the best piece of Patisserie I've eaten outside of France AND vegan.
Service... well, what can I say, I'm married but - Ohlala - perfect and French ;-) But also the young guy, very nice - thanks for making the effort for searching for a Tresor because the last two were bought away right in front of my eyes - horror - but backup was on its way...
The quality is outstanding and The Wife also had a Crepes which I got to try - also outstanding.

French vegans! quelle bonne suprise! - Edit
ok so excuse the the title please but Iḿ only just getting used the the fact that Germany and Berlin especially has become super vegan friendly! I remember coming here in the 80,s and being treated like real outsiders for being vegan! So to discover a French vegan outlet in Berlin is like a double whammy of unexpected pleasure (because France used to a nightmare for vegans!)
Read moreAnyway I digress, this place is rather hip and trendy but its also nice and clean and friendly and the food is great. We tried the mushroom quiche which was exquisite and various sweets which were different and interesting and sweet! Iĺl be going back again to try the crepes. Not cheap but worth every euro. The quiche came with an xcellent large salad with a lovely sauce/dressing.
Pros: Different food to elseewhere, not too expensive, Good food
Cons: tea pot was small
