Disappointing - Edit
I was excited to come here after seeing the positive reviews and the separate vegan menu section with 3 different options, but it was a disappointing experience.
Read moreFirstly, the staff were very confused about what vegan meant. There were no labelled vegan starter/mezze options and when we asked they said only hummus was vegan and they wouldn’t serve us falafel even though we knew they had vegan falafel as it’s part of a main. They then brought the hummus and when we started asking if they had vegan bread to go with it they went to check with the chef and came back and took the hummus away as they said it contained egg mayo! I have no idea whether it was vegan or not as egg would be a weird thing to have in hummus, but the confusion made it all very stressful. They then brought us a couple of plates of a tomato salsa and aubergine dish, which I wasn’t a fan of.
For the mains we had the Chilli Caserole and Fetucini. Unfortunately they were pretty small portions and although they looked really good, they were very bland.
The non-vegans in our group loved their food here so maybe it’s good for non-vegans but I wouldn’t recommend it for vegans.
Pros: Separate vegan section on menu , Friendly resident cat
Cons: Confused about what was vegan, Bland food, Small portions
