Great choices for the city - Edit
We found this super nice near the Sanatoriums. Staff was really knowledgeable when we asked about vegan dishes. So we ordered mushrooms from the oven, aubergine filled with walnuts and lobani filled with beans. Be aware that the portions are really quite big - but no issue to pack it up for take away. Restaurant itself inside is okay-ish. Nice when in the area.

Friendly place - Edit
After having a look on google I expected the menu to be only in Georgian and Russian but they have since added English. Unfortunately the waitress didn't speak English but the owner was there and spoke German so I didn't have to order by poining on what I wanted. He was incredibly nice, told me about Tskaltubo and how it looked like in th sowjet past and made me drink their homemade cha cha with him - be cautious its strong.
Read moreThe food was decent, I had mushrooms in a clay pot, walnut stuffed eggplant and some homemade bread and enjoyed my meal (unfortunatkey they had run out of phkali).
But what made me want to come back to the place was the warm welcome I recieved.

Nice, affordable restaurant - Edit
A couple of vegan options -- waitress spoke great english but had a hard time understanding we did not want anything with cheese.
Read moreWe ordered the "beans" (which was bean paste in pita bread -- tastes great and a huge portion) salad with walnuts (great and so interesting!) and fries. Plus two large drinks. Everything cost 9 eur!! very cheap😄
Fast service and good enough for a stopover but would not go out of my way to eat here.
Pros: food tasted great, fast service, very cheap
Cons: vegan options not clearly marked, waitress not 100% understanding what is vegan

Lovely food - Edit
A great find quite far out of the city! The service was understanding and out the effort in to understand our needs! The Phkali was delicious and so were the claypot potatoes and mushrooms!

The best traditional georgian food - Edit
I tried 3 different dishes recommended by the waiter and it was by far the best meal I had in my 2 weeks in Georgia. Everything was fresh and delicious and they made the effort to offer something else that wasn’t on the menu even when they already had a few vegan options by default.
