A Good Backup Choice but Not the Best - Edit
My favorite vegan in Pasadena is Green Earth Vegan on Fair Oaks; clean, vegan, delicious, fresh. I went to My Vegan because Green Earth was closed one day, and I wanted to report that it's good, but not the best, and some things are better than others. I'm guessing that IF they can use a shortcut they do, so anything that can come from a can/jar/or frozen probably does (and tastes like it does). Tom Yum soup was much better than Pho or Won Ton (freezer won tons not great). Pho was garlicky. Some veggies in my soup had been frozen for far too long and were blah. Now the more Thai dishes and things that HAD to be fresh were good, such as: Kale Hot Bowl, Brown Rice, Fresh Coconut, Green Veggie dish (Kale and Broccoli, and Mushroom Salad..those dishes were great, but only if you like hot and garlic. Mock Chicken Sate good. Spring rolls fresh but "meh". They have a big menu with lots of choices but it's sortof a "soda and vegan fast food" type place which is not my thing (I love FRESH veggies). The fresher things were better and the Thai dishes were better. Nice little place and nice people, but I think it matters what you order. If you can do a rice dish or curry that would probably be a great choice. Also french fries looked popular. Check them out but also Green Earth (on Fair Oaks between Green and Colorado) is nearby and that's my personal favorite. Affordable, fast and nice people, and some dishes pretty good!

Delicious noodles - Edit
The spicy basil noodle (kee mao) is my favorite here - very flavorful and definitely with some heat. I like it with the vegan "beef." On the rare occasion that I don't order that dish, I usually go for the mung bean noodle salad, which is served warm. The dressing is a well-balanced blend of spice and citrus.

Vegan pho - Edit
Dropped by and got the Vegan Pho Basil ($15.50). Even though this is a Thai restaurant, the pho was pretty comparable to what you can get at a vegan Vietnamese restaurant. To me, all vegan pho tastes the same (the salty veggie broth taste), and this is exactly what this one felt like. The portion sizes were satisfactory. They will give you sriracha and hoisin sauce if you ask.
Read moreThe restroom is a single-stall inside the kitchen, so you have to ask to be escorted.
It's written on the menu that any food returned will only give you 50% back. Seems pretty atypical and I can see how that might offend some customers.

Big menu, great food - Edit
The Yellow Curry is one of my favorite dishes here. It’s a bowl filled with big chunks of potato and tofu, and diced carrots and peas in a curry coconut milk broth. It comes with a chewy brown rice that tastes great with some of the yellow curry broth on top of it. You also can’t go wrong with the Yellow Curry Noodle, which comes with yellow noodles and soy Chick’n in the yummy broth.

Exceptional! - Edit
I love the food here, it’s well balanced with lots of flavor and value. Probably one of the better pad thai’s I’ve had in LA over the years and their version doesn’t disappoint. Overall most of the dishes I’ve ordered at My Vegan are delicious and memorable.

Deliciously reliable Thai Vegan food! - Edit
When the vast majority of Pasadena’s vegan dining establishments have been decimated, it’s a relief that My Vegan has stood strong since its inception, even during the pandemic. And perhaps a testament to its reliability and quality.
Read moreWe regularly started ordering takeout from them during the pandemic, ordering at least twice a month. They are so quick and reliable, and the food is always delish, with only slight variations. You can always count on it, and even non-vegans like it. It’s also (mercifully) affordable; the staff are so efficient and friendly. My favorite dishes are:
- spicy eggplant w/ tofu (order this nearly every time)
- Kung pao w/ tofu
- papaya salad
- fried tofu
- kale salad
- chicken satay
Oh and the orange chicken is amazing and even meat-eaters love it. And you can’t go wrong with any of the curries.
Definitely support the remaining non-fast food vegan dinner place in town!!

Rude customer service from the short haired lady - Edit
The sticky rice was unpleasantly salty. So I let know the lady with extra short haircut about it and she responded. You are the only one who complained about the rice. I told her we are 4 people here and we can’t eat it. She ignored me and left. She didn’t care and charged for it.

Happy tongue, happy tummy - Edit
My Vegan sits a notch above the standard LA-area veggie Thai fare. Though the atmosphere is very casual, the food is nuanced and delicious. We were all quite pleased (even the non-vegans with us). The "chicken" satay appetizer and the curries (red, green, and yellow) are excellent. (We didn’t try any of the non-Thai items.) Nice to see that they’ve added a number of fresh and non-fried items to the menu, including a kale salad. And they make a good Thai iced tea. Great Thai food, ample parking and reasonable prices make My Vegan highly recommendable.

Fantastic Asian Vegan Food - Edit
This is my second visit and I had to try different items than before. I opted for the P. E. T. which is pumpkin, eggplant, and tofu—what a delight! I also got some miso soup and a new dumpling appetizer. Definitely worth coming here!

Love My Vegan - Edit
My vegan has been favorite for years. I love the tofu, fried of course. If you’re a fried tofu lover, you can’t really go wrong with many of their dishes. Personal favorite are P.E.T., golden curry, and buffalo drum sticks (although sauce is just vegenaise and sriracha, it works lol)
