More About Me

Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:

Why am I a vegan? I'm Michele the Trainer, wellness expert, published vegan author, motivational speaker, and personal trainer. I've been vegan since 1994 and a health crusader and advocate for many years. We all have a choice about what we eat. Now more than ever it's easier to be vegan. Every day and every meal we can make a decision to improve our health and avoid suffering, or to encourage suffering. Karma exists and good choices come with good health, energy, longevity, and benefits. Aging with grace and agility are available if we choose better foods. Everyone can enjoy the health benefits of a vegetarian diet such as vitality, better skin and hair. Everyone can benefit from the antioxidants available in chlorophyll and plant foods. I lost 165 pounds before 1998, holistically and have kept them off. Of course, being a leafy green loving vegan is a huge part of that. I want to be part of the solution. Why harm animals of any size if it’s not necessary? I’m a scuba diver, and fish are my friends; I love observing fish and aquatics and animals. I would love to hear from you! www.michelethetrainerwellness.com www.michelethetrainer.com www.engineeringwellness.com http://www.amazon.com/Michele-the-Trainer/e/B0075W9PJI

I joined HappyCow Members Community because:

HappyCow has been such a go-to resource for me, for years. Thanks HappyCow for all your help over the years!

Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:

I like to travel anywhere that I can find healthy produce. I check HappyCow several times before I travel anywhere, and always again upon arrival as I learn about adjacent locations. I love to visit places where I can try different vegetables and fruits. HappyCow is an amazing resource.

Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:

I love green juice, leafy greens, pineapple, young coconuts, a good raw pizza on occasion. Decadent raw vegan chocolate sometimes too!

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Scott Pilgrim Saves the World has a great scene: Here is a link to the best line about healthy eating in a movie ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqqGZBRBLcM&noredirect=1
