A good selection of vegan options

Impressive selection of vegan options considering this isn’t the restaurant’s main focus. Friendly and helpful staff who provided recommendations. Did feel slightly more expensive for what was on offer.

Simple but amazing

We had the vegan fried momos and the vegan chow mein. The momos were so good with the accompanied sauce (spicy but delicious)! The chow mein had us shook, those noodles were AMAZING!! Some of the tastiest noodles I’ve ever had! (We chose both meals to be spicy as we enjoy spice).

Ok

We ate the momos and plain bara (lentil pancake), they were ok but both were super oily. Was expecting fried momos to be crispy on the bottom (like pot stickers), but they were deep fried. Momos were essentially cabbage - not like other traditional momos I have had from other vendors.

Cons: Very busy, Congested seating

Delicious Dumplings and fried rice!

I ordered the vegan dumplings and the vegan fried rice and was super happy with both of them! There were lots of other vegan options on the menu that I'm excited to try next time.

Delicious, fast Nepalese food

This was a surprise on a recent Melbourne visit - a really delicious meal, straightforward menu for choosing vegan dishes, and the staff were friendly and helpful with explaining options to someone not very familiar with Nepalese food! It was a great meal, I'm glad I took a chance on a new experience...

Enjoyable first visit

First time here and tried the vegan chow mein. Very tasty and filling, and I asked for extra spicy which they managed perfectly.

Pros: Multiple vegan options, Excellent ability to add some heat, Takeaway was ready in 10 minutes

Cons: EFTPOS surcharge

AMAZING vegan food

We had the vegan fried rice and vegan Momos steamed and it was incredible- seriously such a gem of a place.

Delicious Pani puri

These ball poppadoms were delish! Unique and fun to assemble. The coriander sauce they came with was amazing!
Also the chilli momos (dumplings) were fantastic too.
Great value for money and lots of funky art.

Best choice of Nepalese authentic Vegan option … amazed wow! 70% menu is vegan!

Momo’s done in so many ways,Vegan rice and curry,choila, thukpa, tea, stir fired noodles, fried rice , and other vegan side dishes..

Pros: 70% vegan option , so much choice !, Healthy and freshly made according order, Amazingly full of flavours all menu !!

Cons: They have few meat option, to successful business

Come for the Momo

The Steamed vegan Momo is great.

Their vegan curry and rice is ok. It’s got a rich, oily flavour, but the curry sauce is a bit thin (might be the style).

Lots of vegan options

Menu has a vegan option seemingly for everything and it is clearly labelled. The staff also are friendly and don't seem shocked when vegan options are ordered. Only con is there is no toilet.

Delicious dumplings!

I ordered the vegan dumpling soup. The soup was a cold dish and the dumplings were warm. It was unusual but it worked. The dumplings were possibly the tastiest I’ve tried, but I wasn’t a fan of the soup flavour. Still good though. The space was bright and clean and the staff were very nice. I’ll be back to try other dishes for sure.

Pros: Delicious dumplings, Many vegan choices, Nice staff

Cons: I didn’t like the flavour of the cold soup.

I'll be going back for mo

So delicious. I had the momos; full of fresh veggies, really tasty and served with a spicy red sauce.

Great little spot, central to the CBD. Friendly service, seating inside is comfortable and great for people watching.

I went to get a delicious vegan bubble coffee from Industry Beans on my lunch break and as soon as I turned into Little Collins from Elizabeth, the tantalising smell of spiced potatoes met my nostrils. I looked up and saw the sign: Momo Central. I tried their vegan chilli momo that are made fresh, fried crispy, then drowned in a slightly sweet, rich, tangy chilli sauce with chunks of onion and capsicum. The momo skin retained its crunch while the mildly spiced potato and cabbage inside was nice and tender. Some of the best momos I’ve had and I’ve tried many! I love their salty, crunchy, spicy bhatmas saadeko (fried soybeans) on the side as well. Can see it becoming a lunchtime favourite.

We had the steamed momos, chilli chips and thukpa and it was absolutely delicious!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Cheap, Yum

Cons: Soup was a bit light on noodles but tasted great
