Its changing menu offers British classics as well fusion meals, with example dishes like mushroom pie, Indian curry, lentil burger, tortilla chips and gucamole, burger with fries, waffles, vegan brownie with ice cream. Hours are reported to be unreliable, check ahead. Open Mon-Thu 11:00-22:00, Fri 11:00-23:00, Sat 09:00-23:00, Sun 09:00-21:00.

incredible menu suitable for mixed veg/non veg groups - Edit
This is a great place to bring your carnist friends for a special meal. It's a fancy style restaurant (which feels a bit odd for Camden in my books, but no matter) with an impressively diverse and creative menu. However I found the meal quite heavy (generous with the oil?) and salty.

Relaxed place in a busy street - Edit
We had the green salad added vegan chicken. It was really tasty and a good lunch! We were not to full afterwards, but just good. If we didn’t had afternoon tea plans we would have tried the tiramisu as well!

Chose Mildred's for a much-needed big breakfast after a heavy night out. I asked to substitute fries for avo or more toast (both cheaper options) and was told no, despite there only being 2 or 3 other people in the whole restaurant. Had to pay via an app which charged me a fee and I couldn't remove the 'optional' tip or charity donation without speaking to staff. Food was average. Unexpected spicy ketchup was definitely not hangover-friendly. Toast was unbuttered. Latte was tiny.

Although we often eat in Mildred’s when in London this was only our second visit to this particular branch & our first visit for breakfast.
Read moreThe breakfast menu is pretty standard - sourdough toast with various toppings, cooked breakfast, American style pancakes, porridge - but nothing wrong with that. Most dishes aren’t suitable for coeliacs but they can make some of them gluten free by swapping the bread (though they did warn me the GF bread slices are very small, something us GF people are all too aware of).
Both my partner & I went for the porridge with berries & peanut butter. Lovely to have that option as most places don’t use GF oats (probably as they’re twice the price of ordinary oats). It was perfectly nice porridge - creamy with good amount of topping & very filling.
Pros: GF oats used in porridge, Friendly helpful staff , Outdoor seating perfect for people watching

Visited solo on a rainy Monday evening and the place was kind of quiet.

Prices seemed high for me as I am from up north, but probably ok for London.
Overall, a nice restaurant with very good food.

Try the pistachio cheesecake! - Edit
The pistachio cheesecake is excellent and my partner really enjoyed his Bloody Maria cocktail but the service was really slow despite not being that busy, with us having to get their attention several times to order and to pay. When I asked not to pay the optional service charge because of this (which I have never done, but it really wasn't good that day), it ironically caused even more of a delay figuring out how to remove it. Blah. I hope they improve their service and I'll happily pay their optional charge.

Delicious pancakes - Edit
I have never had such thick American style pancakes! They were delicious - loved by my omni family too. My son had porridge which was equally delicious with berries & peanut butter. Great coffee & juice & they even gave me a little complimentary peanut/chocolate fridge cake as it was my birthday!

Sunday roast is a must - Edit
I ended up in Camden over a weekend and lucked out with a vegan Sunday roast menu. The chick’n and leek dish was so delicious and it’s a treat to find a vegan Yorkshire pudding. My husband got the mushroom ale pot pie which was tasty, if a little salty. Cocktails were great - one of the best bloody Maria’s I’ve had. Highly recommend for Sunday roast!
