Nice food, quick service

The food was really good and handily for me they have an allergen menu so you can easily check exactly what is vegan, gluten-free, nut-free etc. Mains perhaps a little bit pricey - £12 for a salad bowl is pushing it a little bit. The stand out part of the visit though was the extremely quick food service. The only other slight negative was that the tables for 2 people down the far wall are crammed quite closely together so to squeeze out between tables, it feels a bit like you're intruding on someone else's meal.

Pros: Very quick food service, Enough options for vegans , Gluten-free options

Cons: Little bit pricey, Some tables very close together

Beautiful

I had been dying to go here for a while because of how well it's known in the UK and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were lovely and attentive, service quick and the food absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning!

Pros: Taste, Options , Staff

Cons: Portion Size

Nice flavours, friendly staff

We've been there a couple of times. I can speak about the salads, they have raw vegan options and are very tasty and big protions. You can choose two sizes, as a side or as a main.

Service are very warm and friendly and make your stay there very comfortable.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Raw vegan options, juices and smoothies

All the great Mildred's food but characterless decor

Mildred's in Soho is a veggie institution and we are big fans. But the no booking rule is an issue. So we were delighted to hear that Mildred's has opened a restaurant with bookings in Camden. The menu isn't identical but general style of the food is just the same - fusion of good comfort food with sparking contemporary flavours. We shared the bean, pea and mint dip to start - really tasty especially the smoky tomatoes. Then a haloumi & aubergine burger, and a mushroom & ale pie. All delicious - especially the legendary (fries) chips. And we shared poached peaches & ice cream for dessert - really delicious. Including one lovely smoothie it came to around £50 for two of us. On a busy Saturday night service a bit chaotic to start but then settled down - all staff were friendly. So, why not 5 stars? The decor and atmosphere was very anonymous corporate style. No character and not a place to linger.

Pros: The fries; the fries ..., Tasty fresh food

Cons: No character

Unimaginative food, inattentive staff

Ate here with my boyfriend on Saturday night before we went to a concert at the Roundhouse. It's really well-located for the music venues in Camden, and since we arrived at around 5pm, we got a table straight away. Unfortunately, that was the best part of our experience. We were seated at a corner table next to the windows, which became uncomfortably warm as the sun was shining directly on us. The staff were too busy chatting amongst themselves and setting out cutlery on empty tables to notice that we were ready to order. I finally flagged down a waiter around 20 minutes after we'd arrived - and I noticed another couple closer to the bar who arrived several minutes after us had actually been served their meal while we were waiting to order! We both had the burrito, which was ok but nothing I couldn't make at home. The vegan cheese on the top of mine was so bland I couldn't taste it at all. The burrito was quite spicy with not enough salad/guac for my liking, although I may just be a wimp. We shared the peanut butter brownie for dessert, which tasted nice but was not worth £6.50. The worst part was having a compulsory service charge added to our bill! I would have complained but we needed to leave to go to the concert. Wouldn't eat here again and I wouldn't recommend it!

Pros: More tables than Mildred's in Soho, Good location

Cons: Inattentive staff, Boring overpriced food, Noisy and too hot

Fantastic food with plenty of space

We went to the new mildred for brunch on Sunday. It was great that we could book a table before we went (unlike the soho one). There was lots of space and the portions were really generous and there was incredible selection of vegan desserts. I would definitely recommend it.

Pros: Lots of space, Generous portions, Great food

A restaurant or a bad music venue?

I called in here looking to book a table at the "new" Mildreds a few months back for an anniversary meal. Mildreds in Soho i=has always been well worth a visit - if a tad pricey. The new Camden joint was super busy - obviously popular - but I didn't bother waiting to book a table as the atmosphere was dominated by loud "uninteresting" music. Don't get me wrong, I have tinitus from decades of going to loud punk rock gigs but when I go to have a meal at a restaurant I want to be able to converse with my friends without the need to shout and crane my neck across the table to hear their response. I left, I was there for less than 3 minutes soaking up the atmosphere or rather being assaulted by it. So here's hoping the soon to open Kings Cross Mildreds does not feel the need to accompany its food with loud muzak.

Pros: Easy to get to.

Cons: Loud music playing.

Mildred's but with elbow room

Same great Mildred's but with much more space and less waiting for a table. The Sri Lankan curry was lovely and the chocolate brownie was as awesome as ever.

Pros: Great food , Friendly staff , Less crowded than Soho one

incredible menu suitable for mixed veg/non veg groups

This is a great place to bring your carnist friends for a special meal. It's a fancy style restaurant (which feels a bit odd for Camden in my books, but no matter) with an impressively diverse and creative menu. However I found the meal quite heavy (generous with the oil?) and salty.

Pros: fancy - not many veg options in this market, creative menu

Cons: salty

Great lunch

Mildred's is fabulous, For starter we shared the Rose harrisa hoummus, smoky babaganoush & flatbread. Both were nothing exciting and not a huge portion . I highly recommend the classic burger which we had with sweet potato fries. We also tried the mock duck cassoulet which was average. The best part of lunch was the Chocolate peanut butter brownie. The restaurant is quite new so when I asked to change the baby I had to step over all the produce and mop and buckets etc to get to the disabled loo. Not ideal but the food good.

Light and airy with plenty of vegan options

The new Camden branch of Mildred's is brighter and more spacious than the Soho branch. Even at lunchtime service was quick and friendly. I had the Organic Detox Salad, with tofu. The flavours mingled perfectly and even the small size was enough for lunch.

Pros: Light and spacious, Speedy service, Good choice of vegan dishes

Cons: Not completely vegan

Absolutely Fabulous Mildred's

The same amazing food as Soho's Mildred's. Larger restaurant but still with a friendly atmosphere and in a great location, we loved it, will be back very soon.

Pros: Friendly, amazing food and the chocolate brownie.

Cons: None.
