By George, it’s Mildred’s - Edit
I’ve been eating at Mildred’s since the early 90s. They have always been a safe refuge for meat free dining. In that time, their menu has evolved to fully vegan and encompassing a more eclectic menu. That doesn’t mean things have always changed for the better. They’ve dropped my longtime favourite dish of ale and mushroom pie, mushy peas and chips and veered more towards dishes that are often done better in dedicated cuisine restaurants eg pad thai. Add to that the prices that have risen steadily over the years, it seems more so than other restaurants, and it has placed Mildred’s lower down on my restaurants of choice. If I could, I’d give 3.5 stars…..
Read moreHowever, the food is always of a good standard. This visit, I had the paratha and sweet potato fries for starter which were good, but such small portions for the price. For main I had the seasonal tempura banana blossom taco with mango salsa and pineapple. Considering the zingy ingredients, it could have hit more flavour notes, but the textures were good….an extra taco would have ensured I was more satisfied. Dessert was the excellent hazelnut chocolate pudding, rich, warm and set off well by the vanilla ice cream.
My family love Mildred’s so I’ll no doubt return with them, with the hope that the mushroom and ale pie is resurrected.

Dependably good food - Edit
Mini chain Mildred's is likely known to most veggies in London, the menu will offer something for everyone (curry, burger, fries, artichoke, vegan deserts) though little in the way of surprises. A solid, mid market choice.

Amazing in general, faux meat burgers not so good - Edit
The starters, sides, drinks and dessert were so good, I only just managed to not lick the plates. We all had faux-meat burgers and were all disappointed.

Miljoys! - Edit
One of the best all veg/vegan restaurants in London, also doing a great takeaway during lockdown. Mildred's has a range of cuisine options on the menu as well as great puddings and starters. A little more expensive than a regular high street restaurant but worth it.

Always a winner - Edit
There’s nothing not to love about Mildred’s food. This branch is very modern and much larger than the OG soho branch. Delivery is good, and they’ve branched out into baking kits and stuff which is cool. A little on the pricey side, though

Super friendly service and amazing food (try the autumn specials!) - Edit
I'd been wanting to try Mildred's for ages so made the excuse to go for the first time by dragging my sisters along when they came into London to visit and I wasn't disappointed at all! The range of options on the menu is amazing and was so perfect for us all being veggie/vegan but with different tastes, the atmosphere is cute, well lit and calm and our waiter was utterly lovely too. The avocado toast wasn't the best i've had, but the tofu in my sister's Pho was probably some of the best any of us have had and my other sister went for one of the burgers and fries which was amazing. I can't wait to go back to try all the things I didn't order this time around, but it's also probably worth going for the pumpkin sticky toffee pudding on their autumn menu at the moment alone!

Went there 2019 and had a really good delicious vegan meal. Service was friendly and everything was fine. But it's not a cheap restaurant.

I had a great experience at Mildreds Camden. Easier to get into and chill compared To the Soho location. And the food was delicious only topped by The dessert. That sticky toffee putting was beyond amazing! Thanks Mildreds.

The best vegan options in town - Edit
I’ve been coming to Mildreds for years - since the Carnaby street branch - before they expanded. The menu is always mostly vegan. I would recommend the “chicken” burger and always get the chips with the basil “mayo” - I could eat the sauce by the spoonful!

Always amazing - Edit
I have been to Mildreds many times in London and it never fails to impress me and my companion! The menu has its invariable corner stones yet interesting tweaks come regularly and the drinks menu is diverse. Strong recommendation for vegans and non-vegans alike – will convince the latter with a great certainty.

Mildred's Camden - Edit
Never been to Camden before, but dang we had to fight our way through a sea of people on the main street to eventually make our way to Mildred's off of a side street. The staff were friendly enough. I had a green bean curry which was good and my SO had a veggie burger and fries. I thought they were good, but I'm not sure I'd eat there again. I make almost the exact dishes at home with the same flavors and less cost.

Popped in for a snack and a respite from the weather, glad we did ended up having lunch. Very tasty, well presented food. Majority was vegan. We both had the parsnip and apple sausages as mains, shared gyozo starter and sticky toffee pudding dessert. Lovely. Will go again

I really wanted to love this... - Edit
But I thought the breakfast was a bit boring, and so was my desert.
Read moreThe breakfast was a couple of slices of bread, a few tomatoes, a mushroom, a sausage and an inedible tofu scramble.
The brownie was slightly dry, and the vanilla ice cream was not particularly flavorful. If I was to go again, I would definitely have to read reviews and see what repeating costumers would recommend.

Lots of Vegan Options - Edit
The food here was really well presented and well flavoured. It is a vegetarian restaurant but there are a lot of vegan options throughout the courses. We enjoyed our food but the dishes we tried felt like they were very similar to things we have made at home
