Visited twice in 24 hours

What an amazing find! We were visiting reading for a festival and ate here twice! Perfect if you miss McDonalds. Sausage egz and cheez muffin was insane. Love that everything is baked not fried and that the environment and recycling is a focus too!

Pros: All vegan!

Cons: None

So good

Only one con - pricey
But apart from that, it taste really really good, it’s got flavour, the one In reading has lots of spaces to sit down and eat and lots of fun things to do inside the restaurant which is great for social events.

Pros: Lots of vegan options and lots of space , Great taste - like your ordinary fast food chain, Healthier fast food

Cons: Expensive , That’s it a lot more pros than cons

cheap all-vegan burgers

Located on floor 2, just inside the Oracle mall doors on the high street opposite Sainsbury’s, Miami Burger serves super fast all-vegan fast food. The “Latino Salad” was small, mostly fresh, and heavy on the tinned black olives. The True Veg burger was basically patty on bun, with token strip of lettuce. The thick-cut fries (chips) had been kept warm for a while (we visited around 2PM on a Tuesday) and so tasted a bit odd, with thick skins. The tastiest offering was the can of sparkling spring water. If you’re hungry and desperate, this is cheap and all vegan. Quality of food does not compare to the much tastier and fresher Earth Cafe in Petersfield or Veggie Grill chain in California, though the prices are half.

Really enjoyed our time there

We had a lovely lunch - myself, mum and two girls aged 4 and 6. We had the hot burger and chips which was delicious and girls had a milkshake and pancakes - also yummy. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and spent some time playing table football (which is free - a very nice touch!) with the girls as we finished our milkshakes and chips! Will def be back to sample more of the menu! Some additional dessert options would be great!

Pros: All vegan food , Free table football , Non plastic packaging

Nice fast food

Great selection including of fast food favourites such as Big Macs, sausage and egg muffin and ‘chicken’ burgers. Reasonable prices and convenient location in the middle of the shopping area.

Cons: No toilets

There are toilets, it’s the door near the basketball game

Filthy and delicious

Not the prettiest food but it tastes amazing! Even the mayo is the creamiest I’ve ever had. Between two of us we tried almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious. It feels like it should be bad for you and ok, it’s still probably not the most nutritious meal, but it’s sooo much better than most other fast food and better for the planet too 😊 I just hope it stays so I can come back for more!

Pros: All vegan, Tastes awesome, Healthier than fried fast food

Cons: A little on the pricey side

Good dirty vegan treats

I felt it was personal responsibility to try everything on the menu. It wasn’t much of a hardship. The mac n cheese is amazing (if sensibly small) and the milkshakes filled a void in my life. I have taken quite a few non-vegans here and they have all loved it.

Pros: Full range of fast food, Tasty and well made, Well located

Cons: Slightly overpriced

Most fun restaurant I've been to all year

Had 2 hours to kill before the first super off peak train back home. Spent it all here and it flew by! Really friendly staff. 100% plant-based food. A vegan hot dog that tasted indistinguishable from the real thing. A "chick'n" burger which had the texture of a real life dead bird. All of it arrived within 3 minutes of ordering. They have foosball tables, jenga, and an arcade style basketball game to play FOR FREE. All of the packaging is recyclable or fully compostable, unlike other compostable straws theirs still have structural integrity 2 hours later! Great music, plenty of variety. Loads of plugs and USB sockets in the wall. The vibe in here is lovely, there are fake grassy hills and beanbags to sit and relax on which gives it an incredibly natural and chilled out feel. Probably the best place I've visited all year!

Pros: Cheap, fast, healthy vegan food, Free games, beanbags, All recyclable/compostable packaging

outstanding

I love this place! It’s a really cool, creative and inspiring concept with great food cooked brilliantly and well priced. The interior is playful and bright, a real pleasure to be in. The menu is varied and I totally recommend the milkshakes, it was a really challenge to order! All their cutlery and so on are cellulose with no plastic anywhere in sight and there’s beanbags and really cool fake tuffets you can sit on. The food is great and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy or ill afterwards. Love everything about it!

Happy tasty place

I love that Miami Burger is subtly vegan, which makes it more easy to take anyone. The Louisiana Chick'n is fabulous, but then so is the patty, especially with cheese. Meat eaters have told me it's 'better than meat'. There are yummy salads and chickpea dishes for variety and people who don't like faux meat. There's a focus on healthy eating, so everything is baked. Yum yum. So lucky the first one is in my home town.

Pros: Vegan, Yummy

Cons: Isn't in every town yet

Vegan Fast Food with Healthier swaps

I have been to this place twice now. Service has always been prompt and polite (and very patient with my dithering trying to decide what to try).
They don’t have deep fat fryers at this place so I consider it away to have “junk” food without feeling so sluggish afterwards. Would recommend the Veggie burger and the Louisiana Chick’n burger (all I have tried).
Recommended for vegans and non-vegans alike!

Pros: Quick service, Healthier junk food alternative

Cons: Pricier than an actual fast food joint

Really good

Just went here today for lunch, and was very impressed. I avoided it previously as the first few reviews after opening were very negative. I had the monthly special burger, jerk chicken and slaw. It was really good! They do have vegan mayo but you have to ask for it.

Pros: 100% vegan

FYI - They are 100% vegan, so all of their mayo is vegan. The choice they offer is reg mayo or chipotle mayo.

Excellent - No bull!

I recall being bad and eating things like Big Macs and Quarter Pounders. I thought I was eating them again but in the blissful knowledge them big cow eyes are still shining. Thanks Miami, you nailed it.

Pros: Proves to meat eaters veg is just as tasty.

Cons: I wish there were more branches.

Fully vegan fast food!

Just had a great first meal at this place! Tried the chick'n burger with fries and a peanut butter chocolate shake. The burger and fries weren't mind blowing but were still tasty. The shake was incredible! Very thick and peanutty. I'll be coming back for sure! It's great to have a fully vegan restaurant in Reading even if it's a fast food one.

Lovely place

As someone who is gluten free and vegan it was lovely to finally eat a burger as there are lots of gf options on the menu. I had the Miami Classic Burger with cheese plus fries which was all delicious and my son had the Louisiana Chickn burger, fries and pancakes which he also enjoyed. I also loved the fact there is no plastic packaging. We also had a free game of Sonic basketball and one of table football. Definitely will be visiting again when we are in Reading.

Good but could be better

The decor is nice and it is the only vegan restaurant in the oracle.
However the food here can be very hit and miss. I ordered a sausage, Egz and Cheeze muffin, with pancakes: the muffin was good but the pancakes were cold and chewy. It can be fairly expensive but it depends what you order.

Finally a vegan place in Reading

When I moved to Reading last year I was really surprised that there were no vegan eateries. Anyway we have one now and it's at the Broad Street entrance to The Oracle, above Pret.

I had the hot dog and it was nice but flavour wise nothing special. Looking forward to trying out the other options.

Pros: fast, central location

Finally the first vegan restaurant in Reading

The food it's so tasty, you dont even understand that is vegan. I wasn't a fan of fast food because of all the unhealthy parts of it. Now, after many years avoiding fast food, i can enjoy it with no guilts 🤤

Miami Burger is not your typical fast food joint.

Myself and a friend arrived at Miami Burger after much eager excitement to try this new and innovative fast food revolution. We were greeted by smiles from all of the staff. It’s in a prime location for Reading, the only downside to the location and layout is that it’s open plan and right near the main doors to the oracle so it gets very cold, there were plugin portable heaters dotted around in a vain attempt at heating the restaurant. But Overall, I was impressed with the interior there is an emphasis on the green and cool vibe with a basketball hoop and table football which I really enjoyed playing on. Given the amount of time I have been vegan, I wasn’t sure exactly how fast food places work but it quickly became clear when the staff explained.

You order at the counter and wait for your order number to be called. Once Myself and my friend had a look at the menu, we quickly realised that we were spoilt for choice as everything on the menu was 100% vegan. I ended up ordering lots of food. The Double MB™, Sausage, Egz and Cheeze Muffin, The Louisiana Chick’n™, Louisiana Chick’n Strips, The Miami Hot Dog, Pancakes, Luxe Hazelnut Chocolate Bar, Fries a Vanilla shake and a Several Green Colas.

Given the size of the order, it didn’t take long for the food to arrive. And I found the total bill surprising as it all costs so little. Once I had opened up my vegan goodies, I was shocked at the smell coming from the Sausage, Egz and Cheeze Muffin. It smelt exactly as you'd expect a real egg to smell, and the taste is exceptional. I really couldn't tell any difference. My only critique of the food is that it was very hot. I cannot wait to go back and see how this place grows over time and I only expect great things to come.

Pros: Innovative, Great tasting food, Great way to introduce vegan food to non vegans

Cons: Toilets need renovation, Cold due to location
