Good vegan roast - Edit
We went for Sunday roast, as we really fancied a good vegan roast. It was pretty good, although the Yorkshire puddings and stuffing were very doughy and heavy, would have preferred some more veg. Nice atmosphere

Wonderful - Edit
We visited Make No Bones back in August, and we were not disappointed. It was hard to choose from the mouthwatering menu! The ribs were amazing, as was everything else we ordered. Would definitely go back!!

Cool atmosphere with amazing vegan food. - Edit
I could take any of my meat eating buddies to Make No Bones and they would be blown away. More so, I’m sure most of them wouldn’t believe there was no meat in some of the dishes - especially the burgers.

Good Food - Edit
Very slow but the food is pretty good. Didn’t enjoy the ribs but that might be because I’m not a huge fan of seitan. Burger was good though.

I love living in Sheffield, we have loads of vegan choices now, but for me, Make No Bones is the absolute best of them all.

We had the ribs, mushrooms, cheeseburger and zinger fries, all of which were absolutely delicious. It was our first time here, and sadly it’s takeaway only, but I’ll definitely be back to try everything else on the menu!!

Glad you're back! - Edit
I was really excited about MNB coming back, and I wasn't disappointed! Think we ordered all the small plates to share and they were all gorgeous. The wings were my fave, and I like the way they all come with pots of sauce. The tropical chicken and the burger were delicious too as mains. Also, they have trifle!!!!Need to go back and try the rest! Lovely venue too, nice lighting, lots of plants and a fully vegan bar. Also, reyt good staff! Highly recommend! Didn't even get pics before it all got demolished.

Phenomenal return for Sheffield's best - Edit
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Make No Bones's new home at The Old Workshop on Kelham Island. I went with a friend and we ordered a LOT. Everything was absolutely delicious (everything I've ever eaten from MNB has been amazing). Stand out dishes for me were the Tropical Chicken, Ribs and the Caesar Salad (and I'm not the kind of person that normally gets excited about salads)! The bar is also 100% vegan now which is an added bonus. Didn't get to try any of the cocktails this time but they sounded incredible.

I can't stop thinking about it - Edit
Decided to go try this restaurant with several of my friends (some of them non-vegan) after reading the excellent reviews and was not disappointed at all. If I lived nearby I would be eating here every 2 days for sure. They have a very interesting menu, not just falafel and falafel burgers like some other places (nothing against falafel but you get bored after having to eat out too many times and it's always falafel), reasonably priced, and the taste of everything is amazing. Rations are big and thought-for, everything has sides and the deserts were so good too. Staff was really friendly too. The only bad thing I can say is that it's a bit far away from my current house and that you have the minor inconvenience of having to withdraw cash as they don't accept card, but they have an ATM literally 2 meters from there so it's not a big deal at all. Definitely recommended. Try the seitan ribs ♥ Even my non-vegan friends were completely amazed and some declared these were completely superior to any meat they've tried before.

Overrated, sorry! - Edit
I hate to be that one negative reviewer, but in truth I was hugely disappointed by MNB. I got my hopes up so much. First time they had no space and didn't take card, I thought 'fair enough, should've checked first'. Second time, made a reservation and checked on Facebook group, which said at that time (Feb 2018) that they took card. They do not! So I ran across to the Lidl to get cashback, leaving my partner on his own (tripped over a bloody curb on my way back, which I confess put me in a bad mood!).
Read moreWhen I returned the avocado wings had arrived, which I thought were ok, nothing special (my partner didn't like them). I was also informed that they'd run out of various things including the focaccia for my stew, which I was *really* looking forward to. Despite that, I have to say that my stew (think it was steak and ale?) was absolutely gorgeous. But neither myself nor t'other half were very impressed with the hasselback squash. It was ok, but really quite bland.
Whatever bread they gave me instead of focaccia, it was very tasty and they did give me a discount. They'd run out of desserts, so I didn't get to sample some of the many awesome-looking things I'd seen photos of.
Pros: My steak and ale stew was incredibly tasty, Interesting and varied menu, Discount because meal not as advertised
Cons: Don't take card!, Some of the food was bland and overpriced, Run out of things

Amazing place. We had the famous surf and turf with succulent sticky spare seitan ribs (£10) and the Parmo made from crispy panko breadcrumb coated chicken seitan topped with bechamel sauce (£9). Both were served with fries, side salads and sauces. The meals were both quite breakdancingly breathtaking. Rather than pop over the road to B&M's for a bottle of wine we opted for a couple of bottles of Fentimans instead. Make no Bones is an absolute Sheffield MUST visit place. There's even a vegan Falafel and Shawarma place next door called Just Falafs. I'm not kidding, just giving you the facts.

Amazing creative options - Edit
My family and I tried most of the options available on the day, and we were delighted to see and taste such a thoughtful and inventive menu, especially because everything was cooked fresh. The menu is small and changes often, with very reasonable prices for the meals, making it a perfect place to visit once or a number of times. The place is a cozy café with a relaxed atmosphere and nice music, perfect for hanging out and eating with friends or alone. There are even a variety of vegan cookbooks to peruse through, which made the wait enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend Make No Bones; my family and I plan to return when we're next together.
