My Favorite Spot in Sarasota - Edit
I absolutely love this place. The pizza and the appetizers (that mushroom gnocchi though 🔥) are amazing and fresh. I’ve eaten here several times and it never disappoints.

5 Stars! - Edit
I don’t usually bother to write reviews because most places are just OK. Lucile’s is as close to perfect as can be. I wish I could give them 5 stars but they aren’t 100% vegan. But for me, that’s part of their brilliance. Excellent food you can share with everyone and you will get non vegans to sample the delicious vegan dishes.
Read moreThe staff are friendly, knowledgeable and inviting. The food to die for. Everything we had was amazing, especially the fried artichokes and the brussels appetizers. Plenty of options on the menu beyond pizza.

Pretty good pizza - Edit
I liked the pizza itself- great crust and flavor from being in the brick oven, but the two pizzas I got weren’t my favorite. The Buffalo was more of a smoky chipotle flavor and the truffled mushroom had no truffle flavor at all (the mushroom purée on it also was not great) but I think if I had ordered a different type it would have been very good. Love that they bring out vegan parm for the table too!

Wine-derful - Edit
This pizza/pasta/wine bar is wonderful! Staff are super friendly and helpful. Many organic wines are offered, though unsure of how vegan the wines are. Pizza is SUPER VEGAN and delish. The crust is cooked to perfection. The zucchini pasta is OUT OF THE WORLD! All my non vegan friends at the table were begging for my bites. The pannacotta was like the most delicious squishy little clouds. Must go and I will go again! Gotta try their sister shop next.

Lucile is fantastic - Edit
Lucile has delicious vegan pizza. Most of the menu is vegan by default, but non-vegans can build their own pizza with their choice of meat and veggies. There gluten free crust is delicious and my husband and I get it every time we go even though neither of us is gluten intolerant. We like it better than the regular crust. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Sarasota.
Read moreNOTE: For some reason Happy Cow has this marked as a $$$ restaurant. This is incorrect. My husband and I can get a pizza to split for around $20. It is one of the least expensive vegan options in town.

Pizza and Brussel sprouts - Edit
The truffle mushroom pizza was delicious and they had a vegan Parmesan to add to it also. The Brussel sprouts had a mushroom bacon but I wished it would have been a little crispy

Great vegan pizza - Edit
The menu is vegan by default which was nice to see. I tried the truffled mushroom pizza and the macho, which had coconut bacon, vegan sausage and pepperoni. I didn’t see the pepperoni on the pizza but it might have been finely chopped? Everything was very good, love the mozzarella cheese. There was also vegan Parmesan on the table which I believe was sunflower seed based.

Primarily Vegan - Edit
Just because it has meat, think of this place as the opposite of primarily meat places. You can take your meat loving friend and they can get pepperoni and mozz if they want.

It’s total BS that this place can’t get 5 stars.

Good vegan pizza - Edit
Great vegan white sauce, tasty made vegan toppings like homemade meatballs and house made cheese. Very slow even when not busy. It took forever to order and get food. Waiter not very observant of beverages being empty, checking in if table needed anything or enthusiastic about his job.

Best vegan pizza! - Edit
I wish I could give this place 5 stars, it’s so good! The menu is completely vegan as standard and has some amazing options. We had a chopped salad to start, it was full of flavour and delicious. We had ‘The Macho’ and ‘The Supreme’ pizzas, both were so good. The portions are generous and we had leftovers to take with us. The vegan ‘meats’ are amazing and the flavours are so different to other vegan pizzas I’ve tried. We finished with a vegan tiramisu, again delicious!
Read moreThe service is fantastic, they are so friendly and warm. It was our first time here, but they treated us like we had been many times before. I can’t recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to come back!

Good and Bad... - Edit
Many vegan options including multiple pizza sauces which is nice. Extremely slow frustrating service even when restaurant was not even half full. Very over priced, but good. The inside looks nice, but outdoor seating area could use some improvements.

Amazing - Edit
So happy i tried this place. Their homemade vegan cheese and meatballs are amazing. We were with a group so tried four pizzas - tomato pesto, meatball, shishito pepper and buffalo cauliflower. They were all so good i couldn't even pick a fave. Definitely pricey but with it if your sick of no-cheese or daiya-cheese pizzas. This place is legit!

No sweet red? In a “Wine Bar”?! - Edit
The kale salad and vegan pizzas here were fantastic! The service was good!
Read moreThe only reason why they lost one star from me is because they actually have the word “Wine” in their business name, but had not one bottle of a sweet red. In my opinion, if you call yourself a “Wine Bar” you should have at least one bottle of every type of wine.

Cons: No sweet reds

5 stars! Vegan unless you special request meat. - Edit
With only 7 tables, this small pizza shop is lined with wine bottles and gas fired pizzas that you can watch them make while you sit down at your table. Not 100 percent vegan but almost! The place is pretty to sit down to eat at, not your typical pizza place. Paid parking on the Steet on park mobile app. is available. We Recommend the mushroom truffle pizza with sauce on the side to dip the thick crust in. The pizza crust and pizza is the best.

Helpful staff, trendy pizza kitchen with Italian staff. Incredible vegan selections. I savored the hefty sized kale salad, a sapid ravioli dish and a decadent tiramisu. I would suggest you a visit to their sister restaurant Lila which is down Main Street as well.

Brick oven vegan pizzas and they are REALLY GOOD. The crust is perfect; crispy but not overdone and I love the cheese they use. This is the best vegan pizza I have ever had by far. And then we get to the Tiramisu.......WOW!!!!!

Best Vegan Pizza I Ever Ate - Edit
Best vegan pizza I’ve ever eaten. The vegan cheese and crust are to die for. A little pricy but totally worth the splurge for the quality. Disappointed that they feel the need to offer dairy and meat alternatives when it’s soooo good. Fried artichokes are to die for, roast tomatoes were also very good. Truffle pizza and macho man both excellent. Was so good we ordered another pizza to go!
Read moreChocolate truffle bites were ok(lil dry for me)but still very good - star of the show the tiramisu. Hard to believe it’s vegan! We need more establishments like this showcasing quality vegan fare with great service and a chic ambiance. 4 stars for not being 100% vegan but food is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pros: Vegan pizza , Great wine list , Cozy and intimate
Cons: They offer meat and diary substitutes , Very small inside

5 star restaurant. Best in Sarasota - Edit
They are mostly vegan with lots of gluten free options. I got my own custom pizza with mushroom bacon, plant based pepperoni, onions, bell pepper, and cashew mozzarella. I also got the fried artichoke with black garlic truffle aioli. Haven't had a meal like this since I lived in California. So so so good. They have a sister restaurant down the street named Lila that is also great.

5 STARS. *"Serves VEGAN, meat options available" - Edit
This is essentially an all vegan pizza place that lists a few animal products at the end of the menu, as if they are an afterthought and they'll add them if you really feel the need to ask for them on a build-your-own pizza. All specialty pizzas and everything else on the menu is 100% vegan by default, and it's very gluten-free friendly as well. It's a little pricey but very good and very filling, even with the gluten free crust. A pizza could possibly be shared between 2 people. There's a decent amount of outdoor seating, and employees were wearing masks. Super quick as well, our 2 pizzas were ready in 10-15 minutes.
Read moreThis restaurant deserves 5 stars and nearly deserves to be shown green as a 'vegan' restaurant. It's unfortunate that they allow a few optional animal products, preventing them from being labeled as truly vegan. As the vegan who submitted this restaurant to happycow, I am disappointed in happycow for both the edits to my summary description and the unnecessary restriction of 4 stars for any restaurant that serves meat. It's a disservice to restaurants like this.

Pros: essentially vegan, gluten free friendly, delicious
Cons: a little pricey, allows nonvegan toppings to be requested, misrepresented by happycow
