Best place in Hanoi - Edit
This is such a lovely place and the owners seems really passionate about veganism. It's behind a couple of stalls so we had to look around for a bit. We arrived just before 5 pm and it was closed, but then it opened just at 5 so we were very lucky. We had the home made Kombucha, the spring rolls with pesto (amazing) and the rye tempeh sandwich and smoothies for dessert. It was so yummy, fresh and healthy. We are going back here at least once during our stay in Hanoi.

Quaint and nutritious. - Edit
Kudos to the owners / staff that officiate over the running of Lovegan. An establishment that speaks volumes for the proliferation of discerning vegan consumers. Abiding by the ethical philosophy encapsulated by vegan living, this haven offers a wide array of tasty and healthy sustenance at a very affordable price.
Read moreThe venue is hidden away and tiny, yet packs a strong punch. The handmade fresh rice paper rolls with tempeh and peanut/pesto sauce are both filling and delicious.
The filled bread (namely banh mi) with either lentil or tempeh is excellent. The miso noodle soup is top notch and the spinach dumplings are some of the best vegan dumplings in Asia!
Try the kombucha shake before the meal to set the body up for the treat it will subsequently receive.

Happy belly happy soul - Edit
I walked away from this homestyle cafe with a huge smile on my face. Not just because the lentil bahn mi and chickpea tempe spring rolls were super tasty and fresh but the owner was so friendly and joyful it would be impossible not to catch some of his happy vibes. Most items on the menu tickled my fancy, if I had more time I would visit again. Don't be put off by the minimalist decor here it feels like you are eating in someone's home (which I enjoyed) the food is the main focus here so there is no need for superficial fixtures here. YUMMM!!

Small cafe, nice food - Edit
Little and slow but the food was nice. Maybe more a cafeteria than restaurant, maybe a bit more expensive. But all vegan so recommend!

Superb! Great place ro eat and pick up hard to find food items - Edit
This is a charming little place. It is slightly off the main road so fairly tranquil and they play calming music. Friendly and cool people working there. I ate the chickpea tempeh spring rolls, and they were filling and high quality. I also had a banana and peanut smoothie, which was reasonable. They also have food items like tahini, protein powders, oats, tempeh, that I think can be hard to find when travelling. Maybe pricey for local standards but not for international but very worth it in my opinion. Recommend.

What an amazing discovery! - Edit
The food is just amazing! I'm always a bit...hesitant about non-GMO, bio, healthy, "perfect" food, but it was sooooo tasty nonetheless! I'm glad they deconstructed one of the stereotypes I had in mind about that kind of food. (even though I'm vegan!)
Read moreAs for prices, I had their pesto pizza, their spinach dumplings, a piece of their chocolate cake along with a mango smoothie, and I also tasted their Banh Mi Tempeh, and compared to other vegan restaurants I tried in Hanoi, and even non-vegan ones, the prices were very respectable. (Not expensive at all, in my opinion) Hence, I ordered more than one dish!
The fact that it isn't a big place is an advantage, since it made it even more relaxing and cozy! The server I spoke to was very friendly (which I believe was one of the owners, I saw a review somewhere saying that a young couple owned the place)
I usually try to avoid eating at restaurants I've already been (cuz I like discovering new ones!) but this one is definitely worth coming back to!
PS : my non-vegan friend totally loved the place!

Lovegan is a cute little vegan cafe just off the main road that serves local and western food. They have Banh Mi, pizza and pasta, along with a few appetizers. We tried the lentil and tempeh Banh Mi and the hummus. They were all very tasty. The bread was very nice. The food is very affordable and the service was great. Definitely worth a visit.

This tiny eatery tucked away from the main road really deserves our support. Run by a young Vietnamese vegan couple, their mission is to make veganism affordable for everyone.

amazing all vegan place, where everything is homemade, delicious, healthy(ish) and cheap - Edit
Super cute cafe with super delicious foods. We were there 2 times, on the first one they only had Banh Mi (the lentil one is sooo good!) as they were moving to a new location, on the second one they had everything else, too: we had a fresh coconut (30k!), miso soup, a whole wheat dumpling, tapioca dumplings and the lentil banh mi. And chocolate cake. Everything was exceptional, super fresh, flavourful and not too oily or salty. Oh, and did I mention it's organic?? And we paid 190k (around 7€), which is crazy.
Read moreThe staff is very friendly, too. And they're vegan, too. 100%
