Read moreI shall leave my original review below for posterity - and as proof that this place is capable of producing far better - but I couldn’t, in good conscience, allow it to stand as an accurate reflection of what I experienced on my most recent visit.
Having previously enjoyed a thoroughly satisfying meal here, I ordered with every expectation that lightning would strike twice. Sadly, what arrived was little short of heartbreaking. Greasy, mushy, and desperately lacking in flavour, not a single dish came close to justifying the fond memories I had of this place.
The most damning example was the tofu wrap and the döner kebab. Despite ostensibly being two entirely different dishes, they were virtually indistinguishable from one another, sharing the same uninspiring texture and muted flavour profile. Variety should be one of the strengths of a menu; here, it felt entirely absent.
To compound matters further, even the affordability that had once made this somewhere of genuine value appears to have fallen by the wayside. Paying more for food that was markedly worse only served to amplify the disappointment.
Whether this was simply an unfortunate off day or a sign that standards have declined considerably, I cannot say. What I do know is that, having left so thoroughly underwhelmed, I’m not especially minded to put myself through the same ordeal again.

My second visit to Little Aladdin, my first since they have gone fully vegan, and I wasn’t disappointed. Though my first choice of curry wasn’t available, the chana masala that I did have was great, as were the bhajis and fritters that I had as sides. The vegan beef doner was also excellent, the only slight let down was the garlic naan, more a garlic bread, but it was satisfying nonetheless.

Straight forward and welcoming. I ordered the Vegan chicken donner and Pecan brownie. Both tasted excellent and were full of flavour. The music in the background added to the atmosphere and he was very quick in making the food for me. Unfortunately I wanted to try the Beef donner but he didn’t have it that day. Hopefully another time.

Inexpensive no-frills place serving all vegan menu. Had serving of rice with three types of curry and soft drink for less than £10. Only small with three tables and stools at counter but quick service - and take away also available. Found by accident as this did not show up on the app’s map. Great place to eat if you aren’t looking for cocktails and fine dining. Situated in northern quarter with lots of independent shops etc and right by bus stop for free city bus.

Little Aladdin is a lovely vegan spot in Manchester. I had the chicken doner wrap and chips, but I've also had their 3 curries and rice in the past, as well as their tofu wrap. The menu is all vegan goodness, and all for a reasonable price as well. Everytime I've been the food has been great!

A great spot for lunch - pretty unassuming looking, but very tasty food. A safe vegan option for when we needed it. Falafel wrap was super tasty (exact word was 'scrumdiddlyumptious') and the hummus and chilli sauce were particularly fresh! Mango lassi was also great, very fresh and mango forward.

It's also a great Man city location, especially for travellers, the free Picadilly shuttle bus goes from Right outside the shop which is amazing! 🚌 🚉

Read moreOne star less because handling cash is done with the same gloves that touch the food. But touching food is minimal, so it's okayish. I mean my hands aren't the cleanest either, I handled money with it as well.

Got the rice&3 plate…..it was fine, pleasant flavours, home-cooked style. But really nothing special. The price is fairly cheap but to be honest it would be worth spending a few quid more to get a better curry!

It's now £8 appears was 6. I think any pricier than that then it's too expensive for what/where it is. Want a decent Indian home cooked healthy dinner 🍛 for an ok but not super cheap price. It's a small portion for £8! .. it can't be more expensive than that for what/ where it is... you'd be into restaurant territory if you're looking for what you're saying I think.
