French Vegan Cuisine - Edit
There is a lot of vegan restaurants in Paris, many of them delicious. But this one is not only delicious, it’s authentic French cuisine. The staff were absolutely fantastic, based on our waiters suggestions we ordered the Blanquette which is a creamy dish with seitan. It was delicious, so was the seitan Bourguignon, French onion soup and crème brûlée. Highly recommend.

If you want to try typical French food ... - Edit
... this is your spot! I went there with a Parisian friend, and she told me to get the seitan in red-wine sauce if I wanted to get the most "French" main on the menu. And of course, I also got the crème brûlée for dessert. It was good. Price-wise, the place is not exactly cheap, but not outrageous either - just Paris prices. The service was a bit slow, but I was told lots of places had issues finding staff after restaurants were allowed to open again after the winter/spring lockdown. (I went there in July 2021.)

Fantastic French vegan food - Edit
Amazing restaurant with great choices of vegan French food although my son had a tofu stirfry which he loved. The lasagna and the seitan bourguignon were really good. The desserts and coffee were fantastic.

AMAZING!! - Edit
We wanted to try french food but since we are vegan we started to put that idea off until we found "Le potager du Marais"! By far the best restaurant I've ever been to. The staff were THE BEST people ever and the food... I wish I could explain. If anything I'll advise you to try the french onion soup, I could eat that forever. The prices are very accessible considering the service provided and the quality of the food, so good me and my boyfriend went for a second round. Can't recommend this place enough

Incroyable ! - Edit
Restaurant incontournable où la gastronomie française a su se réinventer en préservant ses pépites culinaires tout en les végétalisant. Personnel extrêmement agréable. Si vous ne devez découvrir qu'un seul restaurant à Paris, c'est celui-ci.

A perfect lunch - Edit
We intentionally planned our route to be here for lunch last Friday. I was with two friends and we joined two tables outside. The weather was perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We all ordered different meals and therefore we could also share. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, the presentation, the taste as well as the huge portions. Yes they might be a bit on the expensive side , but sometimes we pay less for bad quality..here, we really got what we paid for. We left very satisfied.

Don’t worth the hype - Edit
I really wanted to try this restaurant because it’s one of the most popular of Paris and we don’t usually have French vegan options. But I was quite disappointed of the food. It didn’t taste good to me. I had the pâté forestier, I didn’t like its texture. Then I had the blanquette with lemongrass. I wonder where was the lemongrass. The dish was a little bit cold. My boyfriend took the seitan sauce au poivre and the sauce was lacking peppers.

Une cuisine qui aurait peut être besoin de se moderniser un peu. Le choix est varié mais les plats manquent de goût et d’originalité.

Excellent food, fantastic service, and spacious! - Edit
If you have tried the Le Potager du Marais restaurant which is at rue Rambuteau, then you know what to expect in this new location.
Read moreThe menu is the same, the kitchen team is the same, the staff is the same.
However, the big difference is that this new place has so much more space. In fact, it seats around 50 people (about 25 for the time being due to current sanitary regulations). So if you want to enjoy their food in a bit more relaxed atmosphere, please check it out.
If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, then I can certainly recommend you to do it. The menu consists mostly of french-inspired dishes (seitan bourguignon, cassoulet, onion soup, tarte tatin); but they also have an amazing spinach lasagna (so much spinach in it!), lupin rolls, seaweed tartare, among others.
Many gluten-free options; and it's all organic.
One of my favorites (if not my favorite) restaurant in Paris.
Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, location

Okay vegan stop - Edit
I was so excited to drag my party here for a Parisian vegan meal. However, everyone (including myself) was pretty underwhelmed with the food. It was expensive, the seitan was so/so and in most dishes, and I felt that I had better vegan meals in several small cafes.

Great at everything but dessert! - Edit
Me and my boyfriend went here super excited. We got the French onion soup which we both agreed was the best we have ever had. Both of our meals tasted spectacular but our desserts were bland and just not that good. Was a downer and brought the place from a 9/10 to an 7/10
