delicious! - Edit
As a big fan of Latin American food, I was delighted to see that there is a vegan rendition of it available at Papirøen! The pulled seitan burger is decent and very flavourful, but it falls apart very easily so remember to take some napkins with you! The plantain chips are pure luxury, I haven't tried any of their drinks but I'd definitely go there again, in my opinion it's the best vegan place at Copenhagen street food, that is, when you're tired of eating Fafafel all the time :-) The minus would be lack of seating, but it's the whole hall's general problem I would say. I will definitely recommend Latienda to friends!

Nice Flavours - Edit
I was happy to see that they are now vegan! We had the pulled seitan and the chips. The chips were awesome and I would order more if we make it back here before leaving cph. While I agree that there could be more texture of the pulled seitan itself, the sauces more than make up for it, especially the dill mayo. It is also messy, but so are most falafel wraps. I think the burger might be less messy if that's a big concern. If you don't want to deal with the crowded passages to find it, it's right by the entrance where the DJ & gin bar are...basically just walk by the water to the end.

Slopfest - Edit
Located in the vibrant streetfood area of Copenhagen I was looking forward to trying the vegan pulled burger (85kr) and plantain chips (50kr) from a 100% vegan stall. Having had pulled burgers before I had an idea of what texture to expect and the thought of a pulled burger made from seitan with mayo, chilli salsa, pickles and sprouts didn't half make my mouth water in anticipation. Sadly the pulled burger was lacking any texture at all and left one almighty slopfest in the packaging and on me. I also thought the burger could have had more flavour and heat. However, the crispy plantain chips with guacamole and tomato chilli dips were delicious and I could have ate a few dozen trays of these. I also got a salsa coconut lemonade for 25kr, which was so refreshing. Aside from the pulled burger you can also get a happy burger for the same price and I would say the vibe of the streetfood area is one to experience especially outside, but the indoor area is very busy with many meat stalls surrounding.

Great view and great food - Edit
Very good service, the plantain chips with the guacamole were the best thing that I have ever tasted (and the quinoa burger was pretty amazing too!) A big plus is the view of Copenhagen from outside the Street Food market where both your taste buds and your eyes are happy. It is a bit expensive but it's understandable when we consider the location.

Great burger! - Edit
On my second visit to Paper Island I had to try the Pulled Vegan burger and I am glad I did. It was a decent size, the bun was soft and fluffy and the valour combinations of the spicy pulled seitan, mayo was perfect.

Nice to try - Edit
We had the fried bananas (Patacones). Very tasteful and nice to try columbian food and to see the foodhalls (unfortunatly with little choice for vegans ...).

One of two vegetarian stalls on Papirøen - Edit
Not a big fan of plantains and I though the burger was pretty dry and boring. I rarely go to Papirøen, but I do like to try different cuisines though and the next time I'm around I will try the Paisan bowl mentioned and opt for them to remove the egg. Maybe I'll be surprised.

Great Food would definetely recommend - Edit
This is a small Food stand in the Copenhagen Street Food Area.
Read moreThe person serving us was friendly. He was new to the idea of veganism. They serve eggs and dairy products here but not as an ingredient in a dish. So just need to ask to exclude the cheese, egg or yoghurt dressing. We had the Paisan Dish with the egg replaced with extra planains. It was a delicious and interesting dish. Loved the deep fried plantain fretters amde from unripe green plantain bananas. The Kokos Lemonade was quite nice and refreshing but a very small portion which I found to be expensive.
Latienda Vegetarian Colombian Food: They offer 3 items to eat at this stand with a Coconut Lemonade (Cost at the time DKK 25). Just need to ask them to exclude the yoghurt, egg and cheese.
Paisan Dish (Cost at the time DKK 70): Traditional Colombian Red Bean Stew with mango plup, salad, plantain chips, gaucamole, rice, spicy sause and fried egg (They replace the egg with extra plantain fretters),
Veggie Mushroom Burger (Cost at the time: DKK 55 ): Homemade with crispy avocado, fresh tomatoes, chedder cheese, tropical dressing, spicy salsa served in colombian corn flour bread. (Cheese and sause need to be replaced).
Patacones (Cost at the time DKK 40): Plantain chips deep fried Colombian Soul food style with gaucamole and salsa.
Pros: Vegan Options, Interesting Unique flavours
Cons: Serves secretions, A Bit Pricy

Lovely food in a huge food market - Edit
Friendly staff, one of whom is vegan, so she can definitely help out vegan visitors. We had a creamy coconut drink and crispy patacones (fried plantain) with guacamole and a tomato dip (hogao?), yummy though the patacones were a bit thick for my taste, I like when they are even crispier. I look forward to going back to try the other dishes!

It would be better if they used more spices - Edit
I had a vegan burguer with arepa instead of the bread, it tasted good, but maybe lacked some spices.
